Chapter 717 Did Something Strange

The feel of his lips on hers was crazy real.

Anthony kissed Juniper so softly, but man, it hit her right in the feels.

Her heart was bursting, totally filled with Anthony. It was like she was sucked into his world.

There was only Anthony, nothing else mattered.

Juniper was in a fog, kinda clear-headed but not really. She thought, 'Is this for real? Am I dreaming?'

She was all dizzy and mixed up.

"Still think you're dreaming?" Anthony chuckled against her lips, his voice all husky.

Juniper's heart skipped a beat, and she pushed him away fast. "We can't do this, Anthony." She looked like a scared little deer.

"Why not? I say we can, so we can. And I want to. I know you do too." Anthony cupped the back of her head and pulled her close.

The kiss got deeper, even more tender.

Juniper felt like she was floating, like she was on cloud nine.

If this was a dream, she never wanted to wake up.

What started as a deep kiss soon spiraled out of control for Anthony.

He wanted more of her, never enough.

He kept pulling her closer, deepening the kiss.

He felt totally out of control, for the first time in his life, wanting a woman so bad, all of her.

Anthony was a bit crazed.

His face was flushed, and his blood was racing.

But then, the woman in his arms suddenly tilted her head and went limp.

Anthony froze, caught between laughing and crying.

Anthony thought, 'Is she messing with me? What am I supposed to do with this long night ahead?'

Anthony sighed, picked her up gently, and laid her on the bed. He wrung out a towel and carefully wiped her face and hands.

He kissed her forehead. "Sleep tight. Goodnight."

"Goodnight." Juniper murmured in her sleep.

Juniper slept for ages and had a dream that made her super shy. In the dream, she kissed Anthony a bunch of times, and not just that...

"How could I dream that?" She touched her face, amused, unable to stop thinking about it.

Dreaming wasn't a crime, right?

Suddenly, she stiffened.

Something was off!

This wasn't her room.

"You're awake. Breakfast just got here." Anthony pushed a cart into the room.

Juniper asked, "I slept in your room? What happened last night?"

But she was still in her dress from last night, so nothing must've happened. Besides, she knew Anthony wouldn't take advantage of her while she was drunk.

He wasn't like that jerk Ronnie who would definitely have taken advantage; Ronnie was that bad!

Even so, sleeping in his bed all night made Juniper feel super awkward. If Hera barged in now, she'd definitely think Juniper was a homewrecker and give her a hard time, and Juniper wouldn't have the guts to fight back.

In the end, it was still wrong, even if it didn't go that far.

Sleeping in the bed of a guy who already had a girlfriend was unforgivable.

Juniper's face darkened, and she clutched the bedsheet tightly.

"Go freshen up and have some breakfast," Anthony said gently. This kind of gentleness was unusual, a hundred times more than before!

Anthony was so gentle that her whole heart trembled.

Why was he suddenly being so...

It really gave her the illusion that he was being as gentle as he would be to a girlfriend.

She had secretly fantasized before that Anthony must be the kind of guy who spoiled his girlfriend and spoke to her softly, just like now.

'Is this still a dream? A dream within a dream?' Juniper couldn't think straight.

"What are you daydreaming about?" Anthony walked over and touched her face.

Juniper was even more out of it, murmuring, "It must be a dream."

"Why do you think it's a dream?" Anthony smiled at her, all soft and indulgent.

The voice sounded way too real.

Juniper asked, "This isn't a dream?"

"Nope."

"Then why are you smiling at me so gently?" Juniper asked, feeling like a total fool.

Anthony thought to himself, 'I like you, that's why.' But he wasn't about to rush things. He liked to take it slow; moving too fast would freak her out. He wanted to give her time to get used to it.

Anthony asked, "Isn't it nice to be gentle with you?"

"It's not bad. It's just a bit..." Juniper scratched her head.

Anthony said, "Go take a shower and change your clothes."

"Oh, then I'll go back to my room."

Anthony reminded, "Okay. Come back for breakfast later."

"No need. I'm not hungry." She didn't know how to face him.

But Anthony said firmly yet gently, "I'll wait for you."

Juniper bolted from the room, pinching herself a bunch of times. It hurt, so it wasn't a dream.

She took a shower and tried to piece together what happened last night. She only remembered drinking with Celine, and then she won.

Thank goodness she won. She didn't want to lose in front of him.

But she couldn't remember what happened next. She figured she got drunk and he brought her back to his room to sleep.

This happened just after she arrived. What was she gonna do for the next two days? Juniper banged her head against the wall.

She dragged her feet for over half an hour before pressing the doorbell of the next room.

"You're still waiting for me to have breakfast? You really don't have to, I..."

Anthony pulled out a chair for her. "Sit."

"Thanks."

"What do you want to eat?" Anthony suddenly leaned over her chair, bending down to whisper in her ear.

A warm breath brushed against her ear, and Juniper shivered.

Juniper thought, 'He almost kissed my ear. Am I just imagining things? Why does it feel like he's being extra gentle with me today, and the vibe is so...ambiguous? No, I must be overthinking it. Anthony would never cheat on his girlfriend. Maybe I'm still hungover and too sensitive.'

"Hungry?" Anthony placed a piece of fried egg on her plate while pouring milk. "Eat up."

"Okay." Juniper licked her lips. "I'm sorry, Mr. Eilish. I lost my cool last night."

"Lost your cool? Not at all. You were awesome. Everyone was praising you. Others were jealous of me."

"But I shouldn't have been so competitive with that celebrity. I was too impulsive. Thinking about it now, it seems kinda silly." Juniper scratched her head, apologizing sheepishly.

She couldn't handle provocation. Once provoked, she would react. She was too impulsive. This was really bad and needed to change.

"No, it was pretty cute. But try to drink less in the future; your tolerance isn't great." Seeing her suffer so much last night, he felt really sorry for her.

Juniper retorted, "My tolerance is okay, I think. But I have good behavior when drunk."

Anthony asked, "Good behavior when drunk? Are you sure?"

Juniper wasn't sure! She suddenly panicked.

What did he mean by that?

Juniper asked, "I didn't do anything weird while drunk last night, did I?"

She was super nervous!
