Juniper's words were suddenly interrupted by the ringing of his phone.
"Sorry, let me take this call first."

"Something came up at the company, I need to go back."

Juniper told herself that this was a sign from God that now wasn't the right time. She should think of a special surprise, like showing him a pregnancy test, something with a lot of ceremony.
Just after sending Anthony off, the doorbell rang.
"Did you forget your card?"
Juniper opened the door to find a young, elegant woman standing outside.
Their eyes met, and both were momentarily stunned.
"And you are?"
"You must be Anthony's girlfriend? I'm his mother."
"Hello." Juniper stuck out her tongue, quickly inviting her in, "Please come in."
"Anthony just went to the company."
Juniper invited her to sit on the sofa.
Brenda gave her a once-over.
Juniper realized she was wearing a loose T-shirt, no pants, and her hair was a messy bun, no makeup.
Too sloppy.
"Please, have some water. I'll be right back."
Juniper hurried to her room, washed her face, changed into a dress, and quickly tidied her hair since there wasn't time for makeup.
"Mrs. Eilish, I'm sorry, I was just..."
"It's fine, it's good to be comfortable at home." Brenda smiled slightly.
Juniper had beautiful features that even without makeup couldn't be hidden, and she had a great figure, tall and slender.
From her face, it was clear her son had good taste.
Juniper felt a bit uneasy.

"Do you live with Anthony?"
"Yes, I just moved in two weeks ago." Juniper was a bit worried about making a bad impression.

"Is she the girl you like so much?"

"And, since you and Ms. Cooper are planning to get married, you should bring her back to meet him, don't you think?"
