Chapter 389 Choose Only You Among Many Options
Layla was thrown into chaos by Samuel's gaze. "Isn't being the Mr. Perfect of a billion girls enough?"
"I don't care about being theirs, I just want to be the Mr. Perfect in one person's heart." Amid endless choices, he chose her.
Samuel's slender fingers slowly landed on Layla's heart. "Am I your Mr. Perfect?"
"Yes, yes, yes. You are my Mr. Perfect."
Samuel felt very sweet when he heard that, but he was still unsatisfied. He raised an eyebrow. "It sounds like you're just trying to please me. You're not being sincere enough."
"How should I be sincere then? Should I write it down in paper?"
"Good idea, how about you tattoo that sentence on you?"
"Wow, what an idea. I don't want that, it would look ugly." Layla was amused by his imagination, "It feels like I would be a strange fan of yours. People would laugh at it."
"Then you should get it tattooed where no one else can see. Only I'll be able to see it." Samuel's gaze became even more intense. Just the thought of it made him excited.
However, Layla quickly waved her hand in front of him. "What are you thinking? Stop daydreaming. I don't want strange words tattooed in the places you mentioned, so don't even think about it."
"Then I'll tattoo your name on me."
Layla's heart trembled. She had always believed that a person must love someone very much to tattoo their name on their body. It was like a lifelong commitment.
This way of expressing love seemed crazy and passionate to Layla.
"Wait, what if..."
"There are no 'what ifs,'" Samuel emphasized dominantly. "There are no 'what ifs' between us. Layla, in this lifetime, you belong to me, and I belong to you. We are never to be separated."
Layla was very touched.
Samuel gave her a gentle kiss.
"Mr. Holland... Sorry, I brought breakfast, didn't expect to see you two..." The beautiful housekeeper blushed at the door, unable to enter or leave.
Layla quickly pushed Samuel away shyly. "I'm so hungry. I'm going to brush my teeth and wash my face."
Layla jumped out of bed, shyly entering the bathroom.
"Mr. Holland, where would you like to have breakfast?"
"Outside at the restaurant." Samuel replied succinctly, his gaze still fixed on the bathroom door. His attitude toward women other than Layla had always been indifferent.
"Alright." The beautiful housekeeper pushed the food cart away. She was secretly infatuated as she gazed at the handsome man in front of her. The sunlight bathed him, making him seem incomparably noble from head to toe, not even a deity could match him.
She had seen just a glimpse of Samuel's charm on TV before, but it had been deeply imprinted in her heart like a brand and had become an unattainable dream for her. She had hoped to see him in person since she knew he was a distinguished VIP member of the resort.
She never expected to meet his girlfriend, Layla, first. She was a young girl whose temperament and appearance were far inferior to the Eilish family's young lady.
However, Layla possessed a simple and lovely charm that other heiresses lacked. She was polite and courteous even to the staff, which made it easy for people to like her.
She had always thought that a mature and arrogant man like Samuel would find a woman who was equally mature. But it turned out that men like him were attracted to simple and cute girls.
Love and attraction were the most irrational things in the world.
She envied Layla.
After freshening up, Layla came out. "What a rich breakfast."
"Silly girl." Samuel stood up, took a tissue, and gently wiped some toothpaste from her mouth. "You're so grown up, yet so careless."
"I'm hungry, I'm eager to eat breakfast." Layla playfully stuck out her tongue, looking as cute as a doll.
In front of Samuel, she was like a child.
"Do I ever 'starve' you?"
"...You." Layla pushed him playfully. There were people around, so it felt embarrassing. She got shy easily.
The housekeeper pretended not to understand what was going on, but her ears turned red. It was too much when the proud Mr. Holland flirted with someone.
There were no truly cold men in the world. When a man was truly in love, even the coldest man became a mortal with desires and emotions.
The sandwiches were delicious, the freshly squeezed orange juice was tangy and sweet, and the fried eggs were crispy. Everything was so delicious that Layla felt like she could eat everything on the table by herself.
The housekeeper smiled secretly. Such carefree girls were so lovely. She had seen many ladies who only ate salads. Miss Adkins must be very special to Mr. Holland. Her personality was truly likable.
"Slow down, other people might think I've starved you for days." Samuel thought, 'didn't I 'starve' her for several days? Today, I have to compensate her well and make sure she's well-fed.'
"I have a good appetite in the morning."
"You have a good appetite all the time," Samuel teased.
Layla made a face at him. "Don't expose me, let me have some dignity."
"What's dignity? Can you eat it?"
"You’re so annoying," Layla teased, making him smile.
"Mr. Holland, Miss Adkins, do you have any plans for today? Perhaps I can offer some suggestions." The beautiful housekeeper refilled Samuel's orange juice.
"What activities does your resort offer?" Layla asked.
"Our specialty is the snow mountain and hot spring. You can soak in the hot spring while watching the snow. The snow on the mountain hasn't melted yet. If you like, I can make a reservation for you now."
Layla shook her head, since she was pregnant. "No, I'm not a fan of hot springs."
Samuel raised his orange juice with a meaningful look. "I quite like it." The thought of the two of them soaking in the hot spring was tantalizing. It stirred up some desires.
Of course, Layla knew what Samuel meant. She wouldn't let him succeed.
"How about a spa? Our hotel's spa is also very famous."
"I'm not very interested in beauty treatments."
The housekeeper suggested a few more activities, but Layla wasn't very interested. "By the way, isn't there a special movie theater here? How about we stay here, snack, and watch a movie?"
"How lazy."
"That isn't lazy, it's enjoying life." Layla smiled at the housekeeper. "Can you prepare some snacks for me?"
"Of course, what snacks do you like?"
"I want..."
"I've noted it down, take a picture with your phone." Samuel opened a notepad on the screen.
"You've noted it down? Let me see." Layla quickly put down her orange juice.
"It's not only what you like to eat, there's also many other things..."
"There's many bad things about me, right?" Layla joked. "Let me see, what bad things did you write about me?"
