Chapter 849 Achieving Results
"Why am I scolding you? Don't you know? Everyone is working hard, and you? Playing games! How do you think the rest of the company sees this?"
"You're out of line," Aaron accused.
"Honey, don't just listen to her. She was the one who sidelined Saffron first, leaving her with nothing to do but play games. Saffron has never worked before; it's already good enough that she stays in the office for a day," Elara defended, but to Aaron, it sounded like adding fuel to the fire.
"She insisted on joining the company just to play games? She's so ridiculous, and you're still defending her! Are you out of your mind?"
"I..." Elara was at a loss for words.
Aaron turned to Saffron, "If you keep this up, don't bother coming to work tomorrow."
"Dad..."
"Juniper, you set me up, trying to get me kicked out."
"It wasn't me who set you up; it's your own lack of effort. Not only that, but now the whole company knows you're Dad's daughter. Are you satisfied?"
"It wasn't me who said it..." Saffron quickly shook her head in denial.
"It was you. Because you're incompetent and others look down on you, you spread your identity to save face, making everyone flatter you."
"I didn't." Saffron stood up anxiously. "It's because I'm popular; they all like me."
"Do they like you, or do they like the fact that you claim to be the future CEO?"
Aaron was furious. "What? You even spread such rumors?"
"It wasn't me; they were talking nonsense. It has nothing to do with me. I don't even know how they found out, but it definitely wasn't me. Dad, you have to believe me, I didn't."
"I know, it must have been her spreading it to frame me. Dad, don't believe her."
Aaron wasn't a fool; he could tell right from wrong. He was even more disappointed in Saffron.
Although he didn't expect her to achieve anything like Juniper when he let her join the Cooper Group, she couldn't just mess things up like this. Saffron had thrown the company into chaos.
"Don't go to work anymore."
"No, I want to go. If she can, so can I."
"Juniper goes to work seriously, but you just mess around! I shouldn't have softened and let you join the company in the first place."
"Dad..." Saffron's eyes reddened, tears welling up.
"Honey, Saffron just wants to help you out, and you're still being harsh on her? Juniper, this is your goal, isn't it? You planned this all along. You never intended to let Saffron stay in the company; you had already planned to kick her out."
"Yes, I didn't plan to keep her, but her actions have still exceeded my expectations. It's one thing to be useless, but she's also causing trouble. The company can't keep such a disruptive element."
"Juniper! You, you look down on me!" Saffron said resentfully.
"You have no skills. Why should I look up to you? What have you done to earn my respect?"
Saffron was rendered speechless by Juniper's sharp retorts.
"I..."
Biting her lip, her blood ran cold with anger. "You're not the only one who can achieve something; I can too. Just wait and see!"
The next morning.
Saffron stormed into the office.
"Good morning, Ms. Cooper. Look, I prepared a lot of snacks and drinks for you. You can eat while playing games, isn't that great?" Bianca said ingratiatingly.
But Saffron immediately got angry and swept all the snacks off the table. "Eat, eat, eat, that's all you think about. Do you see me as nothing but a useless eater?"
"I, I didn't mean that..." Bianca shivered in fear.
It was clearly Saffron who liked to eat, so how did it become her fault? It was so unfair.
As the saying goes, serving a master is like serving a tiger; Saffron's mood was too unstable, it was terrifying.
"Are you sent by Juniper to sabotage me? You want to turn me into a useless person, don't you?"
"No, you're the future CEO. Of course, I'm here to help you. I'm loyal to you..."
"Enough, shut up!"
A few days ago, Saffron enjoyed such flattery, but Aaron's attitude last night had sobered her up.
Aaron didn't respect her at all. Letting her join the Cooper Group was just a way to keep her as a useless person in a different place. The person he truly valued was Juniper, and the company would definitely be handed over to her in the future.
Thinking of this made Saffron furious.
She couldn't sit idly by anymore. She had to achieve something to prove to Aaron that she was better than Juniper!
"What projects does our department have now?"
Bianca shook her head. "None. You just transferred here, so the previous projects were handed over to other departments."
Saffron couldn't help but sneer. As expected, that bitch Juniper wanted to make sure she couldn't accomplish anything, making her look completely useless in Aaron's eyes.
"Then give me the previous projects, the most profitable ones. The most, the most profitable ones. The ones with the highest performance!"
"There are some, but..."
"But what? Spit it out."
"But the client for that project... he's a very, very lecherous man. Many of our female colleagues have suffered because of him. You'd better not..."
"Give me all the information on that project and the client's contact details."
"Ms. Cooper, please don't take this risk," Bianca said anxiously.
But the more she tried to dissuade her, the more Saffron wanted to do the opposite.
"What? Did Juniper tell you to stop me? She doesn't want me to achieve anything, right? Are you her plant?"
"Really, I'm not. Ms. Cooper, my heart is absolutely with you. I'll do whatever you ask."
"Then go get me the project information! And remember, don't let anyone know."
"Okay, okay." Seeing that she couldn't stop her, Bianca, fearing for her job, could only nod.
She had a bad feeling that something was going to go wrong.
Later that night, around ten, Juniper and Kieran left the restaurant after a business dinner.
The lights shone on Juniper's face, making her look bright and beautiful.
Working with her, Kieran felt particularly energized these days.
"You did very well just now. You're looking more and more like a Deputy General Manager," Kieran praised.
"Is that really true? We don't do empty flattery between us."
"Of course, it's true. You saw how the client praised you; he complimented you at least ten times tonight."
"That's true." Juniper was confident in herself.
"Actually, before you came, I was a bit worried. It's not about gender discrimination, but becoming a CEO requires a lot. Whether it's ability, mental strength, or physical stamina, men are generally more suited."
"But now, I see that you have the decisiveness of a man, can handle pressure, and have the meticulousness of a woman. Mr. Cooper can rest assured handing the company over to you."
Juniper beamed with joy but modestly said, "I'll accept your compliment, but saying that puts a lot of pressure on me."
"Just speaking the truth."
