Chapter 451 Uproot Her Completely
The Maybach pulled up in the neighborhood.
Susan stayed in the car, eyes still red.
Caleb's voice was dry, "Go back and rest. Wait for my news."
"I can't wait," Susan said, anxious and thinking of her son. "Take me back, please, Caleb."
"Trust me."
Susan snapped, "You lied to me, messed up my life, and now your family has my son. How can I trust you? I wish I could kill you."
"Once this is over, you can do whatever you want to me. I promise I'll get it done. Right now, you have no choice but to trust me. In three days, you'll see your son." Caleb's voice was calm.
Susan covered her face, throat aching, and whimpered, "You and your family are all robbers... robbers."
The dining table was loaded with snacks, fries, burgers, drinks, and steaks.
Oliver wore a little suit with a bow tie, looking like a little gentleman. His cute face charmed the maids.
Oliver and Caleb shared similar features, yet Oliver's face was more delicate and adorable.
The maids wished they had such a cute son, but their looks didn't allow it!
Mia sat next to Oliver, loving her grandson more and more. If she wasn't afraid of scaring him, she would have hugged and kissed him endlessly.
"Oliver, want some fries?"
Oliver was tempted but shook his head. "Mommy said I can only have fries once a month, and there are still 2 days left this month, so I can't eat them."
"How about steak?"
"Grandma, this steak is too raw, I can't eat it."
"Cake?"
"Eating cake will make me fat. Mommy said I can't have too many sweets."
Aidan frowned. 'This can't eat, that can't eat. Susan is mistreating my grandson, how hateful.'
"Then what do you want to eat?"
"I'm not very hungry, soup and bread will be fine."
Aidan slapped the table. "That woman only gives you soup and bread? Is she trying to starve you?"
Oliver said seriously, "Grandpa, that's my dear mommy, not 'that woman.' I just had surgery, so I can't eat greasy food. Soup and bread are easier to digest. Mommy is thinking about my health."
"Nonsense! She's mistreating you. My grandson shouldn't eat like a beggar."
"But I like it, the bread is sweet and delicious."
"That's because you haven't had high-end food." Aidan's heart ached thinking about his grandson's "abuse."
Oliver said seriously, "Not all high-end food is delicious. The best food in the world is what Mommy makes."
Aidan was almost jealous. "Enough, from now on you will live with us. Stop mentioning 'Mommy' all the time."
"No, Mommy is the person I love the most."
"We're your closest family! Don't make me angry."
Oliver pouted, feeling a bit wronged.
Mia's heart ached. "Aidan, didn't I tell you to stop saying those things? Don't scare my precious grandson."
"Look at him, does he look scared? He's more stubborn than his father was at his age. Is that woman teaching you to anger me? So she can marry into the Eilish family once I'm dead?"
Oliver stood up straight. "Grandpa, you misunderstood my mommy. She taught me to respect elders, be kind, and be a good child."
"She says that, but..."
"Enough, Aidan, stop it."
"I need to make him understand the Eilish family rules. From now on, stop mentioning 'Mommy,' forget everything she taught you, and do as we say. Remember, you are the heir of the Eilish family. You must follow the rules and get rid of those bad habits."
"Mommy didn't teach me bad habits, she taught me good habits."
"You..."
"Stop arguing," Mia said, feeling like stuffing a steak in Aidan's mouth. "Why are you arguing with a kid?"
"Grandma, even though I'm only three, I can tell right from wrong. I know my mommy is a good person, and I love her very much. I don't want to be the heir of the Eilish family, I want to be my mommy's son."
"You..."
"Mr. Caleb Eilish is back."
"Uncle." Oliver quickly jumped off the table, ran to Caleb, and looked up at him. "Did Mommy send you to pick me up?"
"Don't think about taking my grandson away," Aidan said sternly.
"I'm not here to take him away, just to see him."
Oliver was a bit upset. He liked his grandparents, but grandpa kept saying bad things about mommy, which made him very angry.
"I don't care what you're planning, you can't take him away."
"Have you eaten?" Caleb asked Oliver gently.
"I'm not hungry, no appetite," Oliver shook his head.
Mia quickly said, "He hasn't eaten a bite, this won't do."
Her grandson was her life.
"Let's eat something first, okay?"
Oliver nodded. Caleb's gaze made him feel secure. He knew daddy loved mommy, so he wouldn't be like grandpa, trying to take him away from mommy. He trusted him.
"Good boy." Caleb took Oliver's hand.
This big hand made Oliver feel safe, and he held on to it.
This scene between father and son softened Aidan's heart. His greatest wish was to see his well-behaved grandson and make up for Grace only giving him a granddaughter.
They would make a perfect family of four; Susan was unnecessary.
Aidan was confident he could root her out of his grandson's heart, it was just a matter of time.
Oliver had two slices of bread, and Mia couldn't stop smiling, praising how well-behaved her grandson was.
Aidan said, "See, we can take good care of our grandson without that woman."
"Susan has taken good care of Oliver," Caleb emphasized.
Aidan immediately got upset. "She stole my grandson. We can take care of him a hundred times better, with the best conditions."
Oliver quickly swallowed a mouthful of rice and opposed, "No matter how good the conditions are, they can't compare to being with family."
"Aren't we your family?"
"You are, and so is Mommy. I hope the whole family can be together, complete."
