Chapter 625: Miscarriage from Anger

Girlfriend?

Anthony smirked, "You know my deal."

"But hasn't your angel already tied the knot? Her kid's almost here. Still holding out hope?" Hera asked.

Anthony shook his head, "Nah, I just want her to be happy now."

"Then she probably wants you to be happy too."

"I can't let anyone else in right now."

"But you'll miss out on some awesome girls if you keep your heart locked up. Whether as a friend or a doc, I say you start fresh."

"Haven't found the right one yet."

Hera's heart skipped a beat, "How could you not? I..."

She was about to throw her hat in the ring.

"Hey babe, what a coincidence," Juniper grinned as she linked arms with Anthony.

"Why is it you again? Are you stalking me?" Anthony asked.

"Who's stalking? We just have a special connection." Juniper grinned.

"Who's she?"

"My girlfriend, Hera." Anthony wanted her to back off.

But Juniper, the sly fox, wasn't buying it. "Oh, girlfriend? Then what am I? The side chick?"

"Cut it out."

"I'm serious. How'd you two meet?"

"College classmates."

"Oh, when did you start dating? How long have you been together? What's your anniversary? How'd you confess? Who confessed first? Where was your first kiss?"

Anthony frowned.

Juniper smirked, "Can't answer, huh? I'm not that easy to fool."

"I just don't think it's necessary to tell you."

"How is it not necessary? You're my boyfriend now. If you really have something with her, then you're a jerk who's cheating!"

"Ms. Cooper, let me say it again, I am not your boyfriend."

"We've already hooked up, and you still deny it. You don't want to take responsibility, do you?"

Hera felt a pang hearing they had spent the night together, "I gotta go. Have a nice chat."

"Hera..." Anthony wanted to ask more about Nora's condition, but Hera walked off quickly.

Anger replaced Anthony's usual calm, "What do you want?"

"To be your girlfriend. I'm not cool with my boyfriend out with another chick. Aren't you gonna comfort me?" Juniper pretended to pout.

"Do you always randomly pick a guy to be your boyfriend?"

"Of course not randomly. I just happened to meet you, it's fate."

Anthony shook his head, "No, to me, this isn't fate, it's random. Feelings aren't a game, remember that."

"I never said feelings are a game," If she were fickle, she wouldn't have loved Douglas, that jerk, wholeheartedly for three years. She was too serious about feelings, which led to her being betrayed.

"Alright, alright, sit down, I'll tell you what's up." Juniper sat down and started munching on the food. "I'm starving, haven't eaten since noon, my stomach's flat."

Anthony frowned.

"Don't be like that. Even if you want me to talk, let me eat first. Eating won't take more than a few minutes. I can talk while I eat, right? I'm too hungry to talk now."

Anthony reluctantly sat down.

He had no interest in her story; he just wanted to get rid of her.

"My dad set me up with some guy, and I’m not into it, so I need a fake boyfriend," Juniper said.

"And you say this isn't a game?" Anthony asked.

"It's not. I actually like you. Even though you're gay, I think you're a good person. If you're down, we could get married. Your family probably doesn't accept your orientation, right? Instead of a sham marriage, why not marry me? After we tie the knot, you can do whatever you want, and we won't get in each other's way."

Anthony gave a ridiculous smile, "Feelings aren't a game, and marriage even less so."

"Then how about you be my boyfriend for three months? I'll get my dad off my back, and then we can say we broke up."

"Aren't you afraid he'll force you to date again?"

Juniper's eyes lit up, "So, you’re in?"

"No."

"Got my hopes up for nothing. He won't force me again, I know him well. I just need three months, and I can pay you."

"I don't need money."

"Right, your suit probably costs more than my car. Actually, I could pay some guy to act the part, but I don't like that. You're my type, so I want to ask you."

"No need."

"You just happen to be my type," Juniper smiled, "It's just three months, please agree. I promise not to cause you trouble."

"You're already seriously messing with my life."

"That's because you haven't agreed. If you agree, I'll behave. Please?"

"No."

"Why?" Juniper felt frustrated, "Because I'm a woman? I'm not asking you to really like me, we can be best friends."

"Ms. Cooper, I hope this is the last time we meet," Anthony had no patience left, "If you keep bothering me, I'll have you sent to the police. Don't doubt that."

"Even if you send me in, my dad will bail me out," Juniper didn't care, finished the cake, and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"I always get what I want. Even if you leave today, I can still find you and keep bothering you. So I advise you to give up resisting and accept reality. We're not familiar now, so you think I'm weird. Once you get to know me, you'll find I'm a really nice girl. You need to get to know me." Juniper continued.

Anthony refused, "I'm not interested in getting to know you."

"You're so heartless," Juniper wasn't angry, humming, "I'm going to the restroom, wait for me."

She wiped her mouth with a napkin, stood up, and winked at him, "If you run, I'll keep tracking you. I know the best hackers, so you can't escape. The more you run, the more interested I'll be, and you won't be able to shake me off. So dear boyfriend, wait for me, love you."

Anthony was stuck.

Juniper went into the restroom, looking at herself in the mirror.

Her face was that of a beautiful woman, her body curvy, no man could dislike her. He must really be gay, she had to verify it.

Juniper touched up her lipstick, and as soon as she stepped out, a rough hand pulled her aside.

"You—Douglas, what do you want?" Juniper was annoyed, "Are you stalking me?"

"Who is that guy?"

"Does Saffron know you're stalking me? Aren't you afraid she'll miscarry from anger?"

"Don't give me that, who is he?"
