Chapter 907 Registering for Marriage

Juniper bit down on that arm like a ferocious little beast, her mouth filled with the taste of blood, her teeth nearly breaking.

Just before she suffocated, the bodyguard finally let go of her arm.

Regaining her breath, she gasped for air, feeling dizzy as she stumbled towards the door.

"Juniper, Juniper, get out of there!" Aaron shouted anxiously from outside the door, "Hurry!"

The sound guided Juniper to escape.

She couldn't die here, she couldn't!

She still had to see Anthony!

She couldn't die!

"Catch her!" Saffron yelled urgently.

Juniper closed her eyes and ran out in one breath.

Aaron supported her, "Quick!"

"You, you run first," Juniper's throat was bruised purple, and she could only squeeze out a hoarse voice.

"Dad, you, you run."

"I won't leave you, Juniper, don't give up, run."

The two ran towards the road, finally reaching the roadside.

Aaron rushed out and stopped a van, "We've been kidnapped, please help us."

The driver saw several fierce-looking people running towards them and hurriedly opened the back door, "Get in, quick."

Aaron pushed Juniper in first, then quickly climbed in himself. The van sped off before the door was even closed.

Aaron cried out in excitement, "We escaped!"

Yes, they escaped. Juniper smiled and then fainted.

Three days later.

Juniper walked out of the police station.

Anthony opened the car door for her, "What did the police say?"

"Elara and Saffron were charged with kidnapping and attempted murder, sentenced to five years in prison," Juniper said indifferently.

"That's too light a punishment," a cold glint flashed in Anthony's eyes.

The woman he loved most had almost died at their hands; he wanted nothing more than to tear them apart.

"Let the law handle it. Besides, if the sentence were heavier, my dad would probably feel even worse. This is the best outcome."

"Your dad must be heartbroken." Anthony held Juniper's hand, "Spend some time with him and comfort him."

Juniper nodded, "I know. That day felt like a nightmare. I never thought Saffron would be so insane as to try to kill her own father."

She shook her head, feeling a chill in her heart.

"What's done is done. Now that they're locked up, they can't hurt you anymore."

"Keeping them around is always a risk. I don't expect them to repent. Once they're out, send them to Libertonia."

"Alright, I'll arrange it. I won't let them get near you or have another chance to hurt you."

"Thank you, Anthony." Juniper rested her head on his shoulder, "When everything happened, my biggest fear was never seeing you again. That fear kept me going until the last moment. Luckily..."

"We'll be fine." Anthony stroked her head.

"We will."

It was late at night.

Aaron was still sitting on the couch, lost in thought.

He had been in a daze these past few days, his brow furrowed.

The weather was getting cooler, autumn was setting in. Juniper draped a thin blanket over his legs.

"Dad, still not asleep?"

"No."

"Still thinking about it?"

"How can I not? It's my failure as a father that led to this situation. It's one thing to suffer the consequences myself, but I almost got you hurt. I'm sorry, Juniper."

"It's all in the past. Thinking about it won't help. We need to look forward, and gradually we'll forget." Juniper held his hand to comfort him, "Dad, no matter what, you still have me."

"I know, you're the most filial."

"Yes, so for the sake of your filial daughter, stop looking so worried every day. It breaks my heart. Cheer up, okay?"

"Okay. By the way, didn't you say you were going to meet his parents?"

"Next month. Once you're feeling better, we'll arrange it."

"Alright. I have to make a good impression when I meet Anthony's parents for the first time."

"Exactly. So from now on, you need to eat three meals a day on time, drink plenty of water, and eat nutritious food. I'll have the maid keep an eye on you."

"No need to watch me. To keep you from worrying, I'll behave."

"That's good."

A month later, the parents met.

The next day, Anthony couldn't wait to drag Juniper to register their marriage.

On the way, Juniper's heart was pounding, "We just met the parents yesterday, and today we're registering our marriage. Isn't this too fast?"

Anthony's eyes were filled with excitement, "Not at all. If it were up to me, we would have registered first. But this is good too. Now our marriage has the approval of my parents, your dad, and the blessings of friends and family. You can be at ease."

"Okay."

Anthony held her hand, interlocking their fingers tightly.

"Juniper, I won't let you regret marrying me! I'll make you happy for a lifetime!"

"I believe you."

When they got their marriage certificate, Juniper's legs were weak, and she felt like she was floating.

"This is so fast. Am I really married now?" She looked bewildered, feeling like she was in a dream.

Getting married was so easy.

"What? Regretting it?"

Anthony raised an eyebrow, holding her hand even tighter, "I won't give you a chance to run away."

"No, I just think that after all the ups and downs we've been through, breaking up and getting back together, facing so many challenges, it's amazing how simple it was to register our marriage."

"Isn't that good? Or do you want the registration to be complicated too?"

Juniper quickly shook her head, "No, no, of course not. I want it to be smooth. I can't handle any more complications."

"Don't worry, our marriage will be as smooth as today."

"I think so too." Juniper smiled proudly, "My boyfriend is a big shot, the dream man of countless socialites, and he spoils me. I'm so happy. I must be envied by so many girls."

"I want my woman to be the envy of all the women in the city. Don't you think so, Mrs. Eilish?"

"Mrs. Eilish..." Juniper savored the term sweetly.

It sounded so good, making her heart swell with joy.

And now she was officially "Mrs. Eilish", how cool was that!

"As Mrs. Eilish, can I be a little arrogant?"

"Yes." Anthony affectionately tapped her nose, "As long as you like it, anything goes."

"You said it. If I get into trouble, you'll be responsible."

Anthony smiled gently, "Okay, but my little darling won't get into trouble. You're so well-behaved and sensible that sometimes I wish you'd be a bit more willful."

Juniper giggled, "You said it, don't regret it later."

"I'll never regret it, not for a lifetime."
