Chapter 557: Just Want You to Have a Miscarriage
Another voice sneered in May's ear, "You’ve made yourself look worse than Susan, you know that, right?"
"Is this your idea of revenge? Susan's living her best life, laughing at your misery. The worse you get, the happier she is."
"May, you're just a loser. No wonder you can't measure up to Susan."
"How are you gonna get revenge when you're such a mess? You're just driving yourself nuts, and that's exactly what Susan wants. She wants to break you so she can be the only Wilson daughter. The Wilsons will be thrilled to ditch you. That's their plan."
May suddenly snapped out of it.
She couldn't keep going like this; she had to get her revenge!
With everything she had, even if it meant going down with Susan.
Even if she had to die, she'd take Susan with her.
Morning.
Susan woke up late again. She rushed to get ready and just opened her bedroom door.
She almost bumped into May. "May, you scared me."
"What, surprised to see me?" May smirked. She tied her hair up, showing her whole face, looking more awake but also showing how worn out she was.
"No, you haven't come out of your room for the past two days. I was worried about you..."
"Worried but didn't check on me?" May cut in, a bit sarcastic.
"It's not that I didn't check on you, I just didn't know how you were feeling. I thought you wanted to be alone..."
"Alright, alright, I was just kidding, no need to get all serious." May shrugged, "I made some soup for you."
"Soup in the morning?" Susan rarely ate anything heavy in the morning. Especially now that she was pregnant, she preferred something light.
"Yeah, I got up early to make it for you. What, you don't like it?"
"No, but I'm rushing to work now..."
"You gotta eat breakfast anyway, soup's quick. If you don't drink it, it means you're mad at me."
"No, how could I be mad at you?" Susan shook her head.
"Then drink the soup. I need to talk to you."
Susan checked the time; she could spare ten minutes.
"Susan, I didn't mean the stuff I said before. I was just in a bad mood after my breakup, so..."
"Yeah, I know, I didn't take it to heart, no need to worry." Susan smiled, "We're family, we should be understanding and tolerant of each other."
"I'm glad you think that way." May sneered inwardly: Hypocrite, saying such fake words with a straight face. No wonder she fooled everyone.
"May, you and Tyler..."
"We broke up and won't be in touch again." May didn't want to talk about that jerk anymore; just thinking about him made her sick.
Hearing May's firm tone, Susan didn't push further. There are countless reasons for a breakup, only the people involved know best.
"It's okay, you deserve better." Susan encouraged.
But to May, it sounded like a joke. After being looked down on and trampled by Tyler, hearing this made her feel utterly disgusted.
"Yeah, it's fine, it's in the past, I don't care."
Susan felt that May's words were a bit forced, but she didn't say anything. She wouldn't dare to play matchmaker again. She regretted it deeply this time.
"Hurry up and drink the soup, aren't you in a rush? I simmered this for two hours, you gotta finish it, don't waste it."
"Okay. What kind of soup is it?" Susan scooped a spoonful, "Smells good."
"Bass soup."
Susan was about to take a sip, but when she heard it was bass soup, she froze, "Bass soup? I can't have that."
The ingredients weren't in the soup yet. She was relieved she hadn't taken a sip, or it would've been a mess.
May's face twisted for a second, "Why? You don't like it?"
"No, pregnant women can't have bass soup, it can mess with the baby."
Damn, she actually knew. May was fuming inside.
If bass soup couldn't mess with the baby, why would she make it? Otherwise, she would've just poisoned Susan straight up.
"It can't be that serious, you must be mistaken. Bass soup is super nourishing, it should be good for pregnant women."
"No, I'm sure. When I first got pregnant, I had to figure everything out myself and was scared I wouldn't take good care of the baby, so I did a lot of research. I'm not wrong. Besides bass soup, there are other foods to avoid too."
"I think you're being too cautious. Pregnant women in the past ate everything and were fine. Just have a little, don't waste my effort. I got up early to make it." May kept pushing.
"May, thanks for the thought, but I really can't have it. Next time, make me a different soup when you have time. You drink this one, I gotta go to work now." Susan hurriedly got up.
"I don't drink bass soup, you drink it. I made it especially for you." May grabbed Susan.
"I already said, pregnant women can't drink it."
"Don't be so picky, just drink it." May wouldn't let go. Susan was hurt by her grip, feeling May was being extreme.
She was a bit scared by May's stubbornness, like she was forcing her to drink it, almost wanting to pour it down her throat. But she had made her refusal clear, why was May insisting?
"May, I really can't drink it." Susan, in pain, blurted out, "Do you want me to miscarry?"
"That's right, I want you to miscarry!" May shouted, eyes blazing.
Susan was stunned. She was terrified, staring at May in disbelief, doubting her own ears.
"May, what did you say? You want me to miscarry?" Susan couldn't believe what she heard. It was too horrifying.
That's right! May wanted Susan to miscarry, not just miscarry, but for Oliver, that bastard, to die too, and for Susan to never get pregnant again, to be despised and abandoned by Caleb. Only then would May be satisfied.
She wanted Susan to feel her pain, to suffer a thousand times more than she did.
But for now, May couldn't reveal her true thoughts, so she frowned and asked, "What are you talking about? Miscarry?"
"You just said you wanted me to miscarry."
"You heard wrong, I said how could I want you to miscarry." May denied it.
But Susan had heard it clearly. Because of it, she thought she must have misheard. May couldn't be so malicious.
"Susan, do you think I would wish you harm? Do you really think I'm that evil?" May shook her head, looking extremely disappointed in Susan. "If you hadn't said that, I wouldn't have thought I was that kind of person in your mind."
