Chapter 565: Men's Shirts Are the Most Beautiful
When Susan and Caleb heard the kid's shy voice, their faces lit up like Christmas.
"Candy, I knew you couldn't stay away from me," Oliver dropped Susan's hand like a hot potato and grabbed Candy's. "Candy, wanna share a bed tonight? Uncle Caleb, is that cool?"
Caleb was all for it.
Oliver and Candy sharing a bed meant he could snuggle up with Susan tonight. Could life get any better?
"Candy, what do you think?" Caleb still wanted to make sure his little princess was on board.
"O... okay..."
"Awesome! Candy, let's go, I'll tell you some killer fairy tales. I brought a storybook, it's super cool."
"Okay."
Candy obediently held Oliver's hand and followed him into the room.
"Got what you wanted, huh?" Caleb walked over to grab the bag from Susan.
"What do you mean? You were just giving me that look. Like you really didn't want me to go."
Susan rolled her eyes, amused. How could someone be so full of themselves? "Pfft, it's you who can't stand to see me leave."
"Of course. Every part of me can't stand to be without you." Caleb said, wrapping his arm around her waist and leaning in for a kiss.
It was late at night.
Susan came out wearing Caleb's shirt after her shower.
She hadn't planned to stay over, so she didn't bring any clothes.
Her long legs were on full display, making her look tiny in the shirt.
To a guy, nothing's hotter than his girl in his shirt. Susan in his shirt was a sight to behold, stirring up all sorts of possessive feelings in him.
Susan was gonna share her future with him.
Susan glanced at the counter, "You got skincare stuff ready? And it's exactly my brand."
"Yep, from now on, this is our home. You didn't think I wouldn't get the essentials for you, did you? Also, it's not a coincidence. I saw you using this brand and bought it just for you." Caleb waited for some praise.
He had everything set up. Slippers, towels, toothbrushes, all in matching sets. As soon as she saw the couple's slippers when they walked in, she felt like the queen of the castle.
Susan looked at him, amused, "Since you got all this, why didn't you get me any nightgowns?"
Of course, there were nightgowns. But Caleb had a "naughty" idea, hiding them in the wardrobe.
Isn't she stunning in his shirt?
"I forgot."
Susan applied toner to her face and raised an eyebrow at him, "I feel like you're lying."
He remembered everything else but forgot the nightgowns? Yeah, right.
"Overlooking something is normal."
"I think it's called lying. Let me check, I'm sure you hid them."
How could she not get his little naughty thoughts? She started searching the wardrobe and, sure enough, found a nightgown.
"See..."
Before she could finish, Caleb scooped her up from behind and carried her to the bed.
"Caleb, you're cheating!" Susan accused.
"Yep, resistance is futile. You look the hottest in my shirt."
"But it's uncomfortable." Even though his shirt was high-quality, it wasn't as comfy as a nightgown.
"How is it uncomfortable? Where is it uncomfortable?"
"You jerk, perv." Susan slapped his shoulder, "Let me wear the nightgown."
"No way, you look drop-dead gorgeous in my shirt. So stunning it knocks the wind outta me." Caleb held her hand and kissed her fingers, "So beautiful, Susan..."
"Am I really that beautiful?" Susan was a bit moved by his words. She knew that a woman wearing a man's shirt had a special kind of charm.
"Yes, absolutely. So beautiful that I want to..." Caleb said as he leaned in, kissing her lips and neck, his hand already working on the buttons of her shirt.
Susan quickly became breathless, "No, no... we can't, I'm pregnant, we need to be careful for the first three months."
Caleb frowned, looking all reluctant, "Is it really that serious? I'll be super gentle."
"You, gentle in bed? You're a beast in bed, okay?" Susan teased.
"But you like it."
Well, she did have a bit of a masochistic streak. But now was a special time, they had to be careful.
"Let's wait until after three months, the doctor advised it for a reason."
"The doc said no sex, but he didn't say no kissing."
"Caleb..." Susan's face suddenly turned red.
He gently kissed her all over, and Susan melted like butter.
Breathless.
"Do you like it?" Caleb's hand rested on her waist, her face flushed, her whole body as red as a beet.
Susan swallowed, how could she say such a thing? It was too embarrassing. She just rasped lightly, not saying a word with her red face.
"It's late. Time to sleep."
Caleb held Susan's waist with one hand, propped his head with the other, and gazed at her, "My mind's still racing, I don't wanna sleep."
"Hmm? Then, what do you wanna do?"
Seeing her strained look, Caleb couldn't help but smile, "Don't worry, I'm not that much of a beast. It's just that I've fantasized about this moment for so long. Our family of five in a home, our home. Warm and lively."
Hearing this, Susan's lips also curved into a faint smile, "Yeah, that's what I've been looking forward to. I didn't expect the day to come so quickly. Candy is really well-behaved."
"Yeah. She's a sweet and kind little girl, she just needs a little time. You see, she really likes Oliver."
"Oliver is so adorable, who wouldn't like him? He's a little charmer," Susan said proudly. "He's popular with women of all ages with that handsome face."
"Of course, and who do you think he got those genes from?" Caleb proudly raised his chin.
"Yeah, he got your good genes. Speaking of genes, it's amazing. When Oliver was little, he looked like me. But after we came back, especially after spending time with you, he started to look more and more like you, especially his profile. Sometimes, I feel like you two are like two peas in a pod. Can spending more time together make someone look alike?" Susan was a bit puzzled.
"I'm his dad, who else would he look like if not me? And isn't it good that he looks like me? I'm so handsome."
Susan smiled, "Yeah, that's why I say he's gonna be a 'little troublemaker' in the future. I can't help but worry for those girls."
"He won't be. Since our son looks like me, he'll be as devoted as I am, not a playboy." Caleb said confidently.
"You didn't lack women before you met me."
Caleb cleared his throat, "Dear future Mrs. Eilish, are you bringing up the past?"
"Those are old history, I can't be bothered to bring them up. I'm just teasing you." Susan teased, "What? Feeling guilty? Scared?"
