Chapter 600: A Family of Six

Three years later.

New Year's Day.

A Rolls-Royce pulled up at the Hilton Hotel.

First out was this tall, good-looking dude with a red scarf, making everyone go "wow."

Then, this seven or eight-year-old kid with thick brows and big eyes, just as handsome and cute, hopped out. He was like a mini-me of the guy.

The kid reached out his hand, and a tiny hand grabbed it. Out came this sweet, curly-haired girl about the same age, flashing a big smile.

Next, a stunning woman with mesmerizing eyes stepped out, holding a three-year-old cutie who looked just like her.

The tall guy scooped up the little one and grabbed his wife's hand. The handsome boy held the curly-haired girl's hand.

The whole fam, all rocking matching outfits and red scarves, turned heads. They were just too cute to handle.

Inside a private room, Maurice and Aidan were deep in convo about current events and military stuff, while Mia and Carol were all warm and fuzzy, holding hands and chatting.

"Grandparents, we're here!" Oliver burst into the room, all excited.

"Parents, happy New Year."

"Grandparents, Happy New Year."

"Happy New Year!"

With the three kids showing up, the room got lively real quick.

"Happy New Year, grandparents."

"Wishing Grandpa good health and happiness every day."

"Good," the four elders beamed with joy.

"Oliver and Candy are in second grade now, right? Wishing you both progress in your studies and continuous improvement in the new year."

"Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma."

"Thanks, Grandpa and Grandma," Oliver and Candy chimed in, giving sweet kisses.

Right then, the star of the show was the three-year-old Selene Eilish, with her cute pigtails, calling out "grandparents" in her adorable voice.

"Selene's here. And it's her birthday too. Happy birthday, Selene."

"Thanks, grandparents," Selene grinned.

"Hurry up and give us another cute grandkid," Aidan and Mia teased Susan.

"Three kids are enough," Susan laughed. Most folks get pushed to have a second kid, but here they were, being nudged for a fourth. It was kinda wild.

"It's not too many. Which rich family doesn't have a bunch of kids? Four's the magic number, two boys and two girls, perfect combo."

"Yeah, the more, the merrier. Look at these cuties. They make me so happy," Carol said, already hugging and kissing Selene.

"Exactly, it's not like we can't afford it. Have as many as you want; the Eilish family can handle it."

Susan sighed, "We'll see."

"No need to wait. Selene's already three and can be a big sis. Right, Selene?"

Selene nodded eagerly, "Yeah. Mommy, please give me a little brother. I wanna be a big sister."

"Haha, even Selene's on board. Caleb, what are you waiting for?"

Caleb shot a look at Susan, "I'll go with whatever she wants. If Susan's down, we could have ten more and start our own soccer team."

"Do you think I'm a baby factory?" Susan playfully punched his chest.

The New Year's Eve dinner kicked off. The family of nine was having a blast, their laughter and chatter turning the dinner table into a joy fest.

Seeing the elders and kids all smiles, Susan thought maybe having another baby wouldn't be so bad.

Under the table, Caleb squeezed her hand, and they shared a knowing smile.

The lively dinner went on till ten. By the time they got home, it was almost midnight. Susan and Caleb tucked the kids into bed.

Candy and Selene were already out cold, but Oliver, super tired, still managed to say, "Happy New Year, Mommy. Love you."

"Love you too, Oliver. Sweet dreams."

"Good night, Mommy. See you in my dreams," Oliver smiled as he drifted off.

Susan kissed each of their cheeks. Watching her kids sleep peacefully was her greatest joy, a source of endless happiness and peace. She didn't want to miss a second.

Even though they were well-behaved, raising three kids was no walk in the park. But amidst the chaos, there was joy. They were her little blessings. Plus, she had the best hubby ever.

Susan glanced over to see Caleb at the door, watching the kids and giving her that loving look.

Three years into their marriage, and they were still as sweet as when they were dating, loving each other more every day.

Susan gently turned off the light and walked out. Caleb's kiss met her lips.

She stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him back with all the love she had.

"Happy New Year, babe," Caleb said.

"Happy New Year, love," Susan replied.

"Having you and our adorable kids in the new year is the best thing ever."

"Same here," Susan nodded.

"Want to make it even better?" Caleb raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eye.

"What do you mean?"

"How about another one, making us a family of six?"

"But three already keep us on our toes."

"Don't forget, you got me. Candy and Oliver are growing up; they can help out."

Susan had thought about it but was still a bit worried, "Four kids, are you sure it won't be too much?"

"It won't be. That way, I get more of 'you,' and we'll be even happier."

His words melted all of Susan's worries. She nodded, "Alright."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get started now," Caleb picked her up.

"So soon?" Susan was surprised, "We don't have to rush."

"Nope, I'm too excited to wait," Caleb said joyfully, carrying her to the bedroom.

"Honey..."

"My dear wife," Caleb gently laid her on the bed, kissing her with all his tenderness, "Honey, I love you, forever and always."

The most beautiful love in the world is holding hands and growing old together.
