Chapter 893 Almost an Accident

Brynn was almost completely drunk, and her resistance grew weaker.

Just as Parker was about to take her into the hotel, she was suddenly snatched away.

"What the hell—" Parker looked at the suddenly appearing Eldon, shocked.

How did this guy catch up? Was he following them?

"Eldon... you, you finally came." Brynn said, then passed out peacefully.

Eldon clenched his fist dangerously, "Did you give her alcohol?"

That cold, fierce gaze intimidated Parker.

But he was just a bodyguard, why should he, "Mr. Blair" of the Blair family, be afraid of him?

Thinking of this, Parker straightened his back, "So what if I did? What's it to you?"

"Brynn is allergic to alcohol."

"How was I supposed to know? Besides, she's fine now, isn't she? She had a great time tonight. It was wrong of you guys to control her before. Forget it, why am I explaining this to you? She's my woman, give her back to me!"

Hearing this, Eldon's temple twitched!

Shameless scoundrel.

Brynn would never be his woman!

Not as long as he was around!

Eldon picked up Brynn to leave, but Parker quickly blocked his way, "Where are you taking her? Put her down!"

"Get out of the way!"

"Damn it! You, a bodyguard, dare to tell me to get out? Uncle Atticus has already entrusted Brynn to me, she is my girlfriend."

"She is not, and never will be. If Mr. Elise finds out you forced Brynn to drink, what do you think will happen to the Blair family?"

Parker's heart skipped a beat, but he retorted, "Stop trying to scare me. I didn't do anything. She insisted on coming to the bar, so I brought her. What else could I do? Kidnap her?"

"Brynn wouldn't come to a bar, it was you!"

"I'm not arguing with you, give her back to me—" Parker tried to grab her.

But Eldon kicked him away.

Parker clutched his stomach and fell to his knees, tasting blood in his mouth.

"You, you dare hit me?"

"Come near Brynn again, and I'll kill you." Eldon's face was terrifying.

Parker knelt on the ground, unable to get up. Like a dog, he begged passersby, "Quick, call... an ambulance."

Eldon carried the unconscious Brynn back home.

Atticus smelled the strong scent of alcohol and stood up, "Brynn drank? She doesn't drink..."

"Parker took her to a bar."

"How could that be?"

"Mr. Elise, I must be honest, Parker has ill intentions towards Ms. Elise. I've investigated thoroughly; he often indulges in debauchery abroad, goes to bars at least three times a week, dates five or six women simultaneously, and has made eight women get abortions."

Atticus was utterly shocked. Parker was so well-behaved as a child.

But that was when he was a few years old; he must have changed over the years.

Emilio kept emphasizing how obedient Parker was, saying he never had a girlfriend. How could he not know his own son's character? He dared to deceive him!

The cooperation between the two families was completely ruined!

"Thank goodness for you, or I would have pushed Brynn into hell." Atticus said gratefully.

"Mr. Elise, I have a request. Can I stay by Ms. Elise's side until she gets married? I won't be at ease until she finds a man who truly loves her and has good character."

Eldon said solemnly. It was his first time making a request to Atticus.

He wasn't at ease, and neither was Atticus, who hesitated.

But—

"Eldon, I appreciate your care for Brynn, but I understand your feelings for her."

"You like Brynn, don't you?"

"Watching her be with another man would be too cruel for you, wouldn't it?"

Just the thought of it pained Eldon immensely, but...

"As long as Ms. Elise is safe, happy, and finds her true love, that's enough. I don't matter."

"That's very noble of you, but with you by Brynn's side, she relies on you too much. She only has eyes for you, how can she find a boyfriend? Haven't you noticed her excessive dependence on you?" Atticus asked bluntly.

"Ms. Elise only sees me as an older brother."

"For now, yes, because she's still young and doesn't understand feelings. Once she matures, you two have grown up together with deep feelings, how can you ensure those feelings won't change?"

Atticus said heavily, "I've lived decades longer than you, I see things more comprehensively and long-term. I don't want both of you to end up hurt, do you understand?"

"But..."

Atticus painfully raised his hand to interrupt him, "Enough, this matter is not up for discussion. Stick to the original plan, you're going abroad next week."

Eldon wanted to fight for himself, but seeing Atticus's attitude, he knew it was useless.

He could only swallow his words, "I understand."

He went upstairs.

He gently placed Brynn on the bed, but her small hand suddenly wrapped around his neck, "Eldon, is it you?"

"Eldon..."

"It's me." In the warm light, Eldon's gaze was so tender it could melt a person. Only when she was drunk could he stop hiding and show his true love.

"I knew you wouldn't leave me." Brynn nuzzled against Eldon like a kitten, "I... I confess... I was naughty today, I drank."

"You knew it was naughty but still drank?" Eldon said helplessly. He had almost gone crazy looking for her during that lost hour.

"Parker made me drink, but it tasted good, sweet and sour, like a soft drink." Brynn giggled foolishly, her face flushed.

She lifted her shimmering eyes, "And I knew you would come, so there was no danger."

"Eldon, it's so good to have you by my side."

"I'm so happy."

"Let's never be apart, okay?"

Eldon's eyes dimmed, and he smiled bitterly, "I wish we could, but it's destined to be an impossible dream."

"Why? We can always be together, can't we?"

"Just like when we were kids, always together."

Eldon raised his hand to touch Brynn's face, a faint sorrow, a faint tenderness, "But my little princess has grown up."

"Then, I won't grow up." Brynn said childishly, "I'm still a kid, so Eldon, you can't leave me, you have to stay with me forever, okay?"

"Okay."

'My heart will always be with you.'

Eldon murmured as he held her.

Brynn smiled happily, "Eldon, you're so good."

"Eldon, your lips are so pretty, can I kiss them?" Brynn pouted, offering her red lips.

The smell of alcohol hit Eldon's brain, suddenly blank and tingling, like snowflakes, making his mouth dry.

Her lips came closer and closer.

He seemed to be frozen, unable to move.
