Chapter 850 Saffron Gets Bullied
"I've just started, and there's still a lot of room for improvement. I hope you won't mind and can guide me more."
"Of course. You must be tired these days. There's a nice spa nearby. Want to go relax?"
"Maybe next time. The best relaxation for me is to get some sleep."
"Then I'll take you home."
"Okay."
Just as they got into the car, Juniper suddenly received a call from Aaron.
"Saffron is in trouble. Come to M Club quickly."
'Saffron? What trouble has she caused now?' she thought.
Juniper frowned and said, "Okay, I'll be right there."
"What happened?" Kieran asked.
"My dad said Saffron is in trouble and asked me to go to M Club."
"I'll go with you. If there's a problem, maybe I can help."
"That would be great, thank you."
As soon as they entered the private room, they saw Elara holding the crying Saffron and angrily shouting, "Juniper, this is all your fault. If anything happens to Saffron, I'll kill you."
"What happened?" Juniper looked at Saffron's torn clothes and could only guess the general situation.
"Are you pretending? You sent Saffron to entertain a lecherous client, and she almost got... If Saffron wasn't smart, something terrible would have happened."
"When did I send her to entertain anyone?" Juniper was speechless.
"You're her superior. If not you, then who? Saffron just joined the company and doesn't know anything. She has to do whatever you tell her to."
"Because she doesn't know anything, I only had someone teach her. I didn't arrange any entertainment for her. She found it herself."
"You're blaming Saffron? How could she know the situation? It's all your fault! Honey, she caused Saffron to miscarry before, and now she's humiliated her. Are you still going to do nothing?"
Saffron cried uncontrollably. Although she found the person, if Juniper hadn't sidelined her, she wouldn't have taken such a risk and almost been assaulted by that thug... It was all Juniper's fault.
"I believe it wasn't Juniper who arranged it," Kieran quickly explained. "New employees aren't given entertainment duties. Juniper just started recently, and I was the one taking her to entertain clients."
"Who do you think you are? Do you have a say here?"
"I work at the company. I know the situation best."
"What do you know? Juniper must have had you act. Otherwise, why are you here?"
"We just finished entertaining clients, so I gave her a ride."
"That's a lie. You're her accomplice! Honey, it's clear Saffron was harmed by Juniper. Are you still going to listen to her?"
Aaron said, "I believe Juniper wouldn't do such a thing. Let's not stay here. We'll talk at home."
Two days after the incident, Juniper came home from work in the evening, and Aaron called her into the study.
"Is it about Saffron again?" Juniper was impatient.
"Yes, she's been resting at home for two days and has calmed down."
"Oh, then she should stay home and not cause any more trouble."
"I mean, let her go back to work at the company."
Juniper laughed mockingly, "Is that your idea or Saffron's? Did she come to you again? Is this the squeaky wheel gets the grease? She makes a fuss, and you give in?"
"Of course not, but..."
"With her brain, she causes trouble all the time. She should stay home. If she causes trouble at the company, I can't take responsibility."
"Aren't you at the company now? Keep an eye on her, and she won't cause trouble."
Juniper was speechless. "Dad, I'm at the company to work, not to babysit her. She causes so much trouble. How can I watch her?"
"She's scared after this incident and will learn her lesson. You're her sister. Give her a chance, okay? She'll go back to work tomorrow. Get her old team back and give her some easy projects. She gets into trouble when she's idle."
"You mean have the company staff play with her? The company isn't her playground. What about the rules? What will others think? Who will work? You can't spoil her too much."
"But she's my daughter too. I'm getting old. If she doesn't learn some real skills, what will she do when I'm gone? Should she just stay home and do nothing?"
"Doing nothing is her biggest contribution. What else can you expect from her?" Juniper rolled her eyes. "Dad, this can't be a joke. She..."
Aaron made a stop gesture, exhausted. "It's decided. Don't say any more. Just arrange it."
That night, Juniper went out again.
In the car, she was animatedly gesturing.
"Isn't this ridiculous? Saffron, even if she suffers a hundred times, won't learn. She'll just get worse. The company isn't a playground. How am I supposed to arrange this?"
Anthony smiled gently at her.
After Juniper had been gesturing and talking for half an hour, he handed her a bottle of water. "Thirsty? Have some water and continue."
Juniper bit her lip. "Sorry, we finally get to meet, and I've been complaining for over half an hour. I don't want to spread negative energy to you, but I'm just a bit annoyed, so..."
"I know, I understand. You don't need to apologize." Anthony cupped her face, his gentle eyes like a sea of stars, his voice soft as water. "One of a boyfriend's main roles is to be his girlfriend's trash can, right?"
"But won't you get tired of hearing it?"
"No, on the contrary, I'm glad you can vent these negative emotions to me. If I can't share your burdens when you're unhappy, what kind of boyfriend am I?"
"Anthony, you're too good." Juniper leaned into his arms, hugging him. "How can I have such a tolerant and considerate boyfriend? I'm so lucky."
"You're a great girlfriend too."
"No, I'm not. I've been so busy with work lately that I don't have time to reply to your messages, and you have to come downstairs to keep me company while I work late. I don't even have time to go on dates with you. I'm terrible."
Anthony shook his head. "No, my girlfriend is so hardworking and excellent. As your boyfriend, I'm very proud. I'm just worried about your health. You don't take care of yourself when you're busy."
"It's okay. Work is tiring but fulfilling. As long as that idiot Saffron doesn't bother me, I'm fine."
Anthony smiled.
"Alright, enough about her. How have you been? Busy too, I guess. I saw on the news that the Eilish Group has been doing great with several big projects recently."
"Yes, it's been busy. I'm either at the company or home every day, nothing else."
"Has your dad calmed down a bit?"
