Chapter 334 Expulsion from the Company

As Layla entered the company, she felt a strange atmosphere.
No one was working. Instead, they were chatting, with a dozen pairs of eyes all fixed on Layla.
A colleague eagerly asked, "I heard that Fanny got injured. Is it serious?"
"It's just a minor injury." She answered.
"How did she get hurt?"
"Just an accident." Layla casually replied.
"What kind of accident? Tell us. It's so terrifying."
"If you want to know, ask her yourself. I'm busy drawing."
"I dare not call her. What if she scolds me? You're the one involved, so you know best. Tell us."
"Yes. Tell us."
"I heard the finance department has settled her salary. Was she fired? How could she get injured and still get fired?"
"Really? Isn't she the confidante of our boss? The boss favors her so much. Why would he suddenly fire her?"
Layla was surrounded by their questions, but she acted as if she didn't hear, making her colleagues even more curious, buzzing around like annoying flies.
Just then, Fanny walked in as if nothing had happened. As usual, the first thing she did upon entering was to glare fiercely at Layla as if she had encountered an archenemy.
"Fanny!" Fanny's two subordinates, at a loss, hurriedly approached her as if seeing their savior.
They had offended Layla, and if Fanny were truly fired, they would be in trouble too.
"Fanny, you're finally here."
"So? Don't I come at this time every day?"
"Yes, but they said. They said you."
"Spouting nonsense again? Are they cursing me?" Fanny shot a cold glance, causing several colleagues to shake their heads.
"No, no. We didn't mean that."
"Is someone being malicious and spreading rumors to smear my name? If you don't blabber all day, will your mouths rot?" Fanny sat down, raising her hand like a queen. "Get me the design plans."
Everyone was puzzled. 'Did the finance department lie?'
"Levi."
"Morning, Levi." The other colleagues greeted Levi as he came in.
Levi entered with a serious look. Upon seeing Fanny, he paused abruptly and asked, "Why are you here?"
"I'm here to work of course."
"Didn't you resign already?"
"When did I resign? I have no intention of doing so."
"Fanny, you know what I'm talking about." Levi gritted his teeth.
The rest were shocked. 'It seemed the news was true. Fanny had been fired. The so-called resignation was to save face.' They thought.
After this doubt was resolved, they became even more curious about the reasons behind it.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Fanny dismissed, starting to draw.
"I've had the finance department settle your salary. You no longer belong here. So, leave here."
"I've said that I have no intention of resigning. As long as I don't want to resign, no one can dismiss me." Fanny sneered.
"But I'm the boss. If I say I'm firing you, then you're fired. Leave now. Don't make a scene and embarrass everyone."
Fanny laughed for a while, her laughter mocking and grating. "Embarrass? Levi, do you think I care about being embarrassed at this point? What if I intend to embarrass everyone?"
"Don't push your luck!"
Fanny's smile froze, and she slammed the table fiercely, standing up sharply. "I'm pushing my luck? It's you, Levi, who's ungrateful!"
"I've been with you since I graduated. It's been seven years now, from a company of two people that couldn't even afford rent to one of over twenty people making millions in profit every year. You've become wealthy, and now you want to kick me out? You've calculated this quite skillfully."
Levi felt a bit guilty. "What do you want then?"
"Give me fifty percent of the shares."
"Are you crazy?" Levi's guilt vanished instantly.
People were astonished. 'Fanny was too greedy. She wanted too much!' They thought.
"Am I crazy? When we started the company, you were losing money. It was me who had helped you from nothing to something. It's only fair that I have fifty percent of the shares."
"Impossible. I'll give you three months' salary at most. Take it and leave."
"Three months' salary? I've helped you make at least one million dollars. Now you want to get rid of me with just several hundred thousand dollars? You dare not dream of it. Levi, let me make it clear. If you don't give me shares today, I'm not leaving."
"Don't force me to call security."
"Go ahead! I have nothing to lose! I have plenty of your private affairs in my hands. Want me to spill them?"
The rest were excited. There was nothing more thrilling than watching others’ drama, and they couldn't wait for more scandals to be exposed.
"You, come to my office." Levi went to grab her, but as soon as his fingers touched Fanny, she forcefully pushed him away.
"Fanny, you."
"What? Are you afraid? Now that you have Layla as your new mistress, you want to kick me to the curb? You're too ruthless."
"Don't talk nonsense," Levi warned.
"Come on, who in the company doesn't know I've been with you for seven years? Are you deceiving yourself?"
The rest remained silent. They knew but had never dared to expose this secret. Now that Fanny had revealed it herself, the meaning was entirely different.
"Fanny, you can't falsely accuse me just because I'm firing you."
"So, do you want me to show everyone what you look like in bed?" Fanny retorted. "I have plenty of photos and videos."
"You." Levi hadn't expected her to be so ruthless. If he had answered her frantic calls these past few days instead of ignoring her, things might have been different. A crazy woman was not to be trifled with, and a crazy Fanny was even more dangerous.
"Fanny, the company wouldn't be where it is today without you. If you want more compensation, we can discuss it. But you should avoid making a fundamental mistake. The company absolutely can't keep you, and you can't have shares."
"Levi, say that again?" Fanny exploded, rushing at him.
"Security. Security!" Levi shouted.
The security guards and driver rushed in, restraining Fanny. Fanny kicked and cursed, hysterical, a complete madwoman.
Levi's face bore several scratches, looking extremely grim. "Throw her out. From today, she has nothing to do with the company. Don't let her in."
"Yes, Levi."
"Levi, you ungrateful wretch!"
"You despicable scoundrel!"
"I'll make you regret this. I will make you regret it. I'll make you kneel and beg me. I'll let you shine my shoes!" Fanny shouted and cursed.
Fanny was treated like trash and dragged out of the office. "Let go of me. You're just a driver and you dare to touch me!"
The driver lost his temper and shoved her to the ground.
Fanny took a hard fall. "You dare to push me! Do you want to die?"
"Watch your mouth. You're not part of the company now. I can hit you anytime." The driver glared, ready to strike. "You brought this upon yourself!"
"You! I'll be back, and you'll regret it! Levi, Layla, you both wait for me!"
Fanny cursed, but no one paid attention. The police then drove her away, and she argued with them, which led to her arrest. She was about to be put into a police car when a Rolls-Royce Bentley blocked the way.
In the back seat, a noblewoman wearing sunglasses said, "Get in."
"Who are you?"
"Someone who can help you."
