Chapter 854 You'll Have a Girlfriend

However, Ruben still had a thorn in his heart because of what had happened before.

People's true nature is revealed unintentionally, and he was a bit worried about her character.

Anthony's runaway wedding had already brought a lot of criticism to the Eilish family, and he didn't want any more scandals.

Thinking of this, Ruben hardened his heart and made a stopping gesture.

"There are plenty of women out there better than you. Anthony could pick any one of them and they wouldn't be worse than you. Don't be too confident."

"Yes, there are many excellent women, but Anthony only loves one."

"Are you threatening me?"

Juniper quickly shook her head. "I didn't mean that. Anthony loves me, and I love him. We can make each other happy. You want Anthony to be happy too, don't you?"

She added, "I know it's hard to change your preconceived notions. I just hope you can give me a chance to get to know me."

"I'm not interested in getting to know you."

'What a stubborn person,' Juniper thought to herself, shaking her head silently.

"No problem, today is just the first time. I believe I've already changed your bad impression of me a little bit, haven't I?" She smiled with crescent-shaped eyes, looking very cute.

Ruben inexplicably couldn't get angry. Facing that smiling face, it was indeed hard to be mad.

"Sweet talk."

"Every word I just said to you was sincere, not sweet talk. Actions speak louder than words, and time will prove it. I'm heading back to the company now. Goodbye, Mr. Eilish."

Juniper knew how to handle things well. She knew that pestering Ruben any further would only ruin his impression of her. Now was just the right time to stop.

"Wait, don't tell Anthony about today's events."

Juniper nodded. "You should carry your medication with you and go for weekly check-ups at the hospital. It's for the good of you and your family."

Kieran was waiting for her in the car.

"Where did you go?"

"Ran into an acquaintance and said hello," Juniper replied.

She took out her phone and replied to Anthony's message.

She was incredibly busy every day, and it was rare to find time to chat.

"Talking to your boyfriend?"

"Yeah, how did you know?" Juniper asked, typing quickly with her head down.

"I can tell by how happy you look. Plus, your eyes are different when you're talking to someone you like."

Juniper smiled, "Really? Do my eyes look full of love?"

"Yes, it's overflowing. Your boyfriend must be very outstanding to make you so happy."

"Not just outstanding, but extremely, extremely, extremely outstanding," Juniper said proudly.

"I'm not exaggerating; he's really that good. There aren't more than two people in the whole city better than him, really!"

As a girl, she naturally had a bit of vanity. Sometimes she just wanted to show off Anthony to all her friends; they would definitely be envious.

"That amazing? I wonder if I'll have the honor to meet him someday?"

"Of course. Once things are settled."

"Is there still uncertainty?"

"Not really, it's just... Anyway, in two months, I'll definitely introduce you to him."

"Alright, I'll wait. I'm so jealous. When will I meet someone who sees me as the best in the world? As a single person, I feel hurt."

"Come on, you're asking for a punch with that comment. There are so many girls in the company who like you, don't you know your nickname is 'Prince Charming'? You just have high standards."

"My standards are indeed high."

"So, what kind do you like? A workaholic as excellent as you?"

"Someone like you," Kieran answered.

"Sorry, I already have a boyfriend."

"I mean someone like you. Mature, sensible, capable, smart, hardworking, and genuine."

"Of course, I'm full of virtues. Even I can't help but fall in love with myself. How could there be such a perfect woman like me?" Juniper joked narcissistically.

"Yeah, it's just too rare. Otherwise, I'd want to get one too, instead of just envying your boyfriend. I'm so jealous."

"Rarity makes it precious. If there were too many, it wouldn't be valuable." Juniper patted his shoulder. "Believe in yourself, you'll find an excellent girlfriend."

"Really? You said it. If I can't find one, you'll have to take responsibility."

"You really know how to joke," Juniper laughed.

"I don't care. You keep teasing me, making me want a sweet relationship too."

"Focus on your career first, Mr. Morgan!"

The two had just returned to the company when they saw a client storming out of Saffron's office.

"Keep your voice down," Saffron tried to stop him, but the man angrily walked up to Kieran and complained, "Mr. Morgan, what kind of people does your company hire? She knows nothing about business, just keeps bragging, and even kept leaning on me. I couldn't push her away."

"I didn't..." In front of everyone, Saffron felt extremely embarrassed, her face burning.

"Yes, you did. I told you to behave, and you called me a prude and even touched my leg. Do you think this is a nightclub? I'm here for serious business!"

"Mr. Morgan, did you hire a prostitute to work here?"

Juniper felt a headache and anger. This Saffron, always causing trouble, ruining the company's reputation.

"Who are you calling a prostitute? Say it again?" Saffron was furious. "You jerk, you think I would be interested in you?"

"I touched you? You were the one trying to take advantage of me, and I pushed you away. Now you're turning the tables on me."

"You—you're distorting the truth! Mr. Morgan, I've been working with your company for years, and my character is well-known. She's slandering me, I swear I didn't do it."

Kieran knew very well who was at fault. "I apologize, Mr. John."

"Why are you apologizing to him? He..."

"Enough, stop talking." After apologizing to the client, Kieran called Saffron into the office.

The women in the message group immediately started discussing.

[Saffron, really? Isn't she the CEO's daughter? How could she do such a thing? Unbelievable!]

[I'm surprised too. She doesn't need to. Her backer is Mr. Cooper! She's not just some regular employee desperate for performance.]

[Who knows, she's so eager for success, nothing she does would be surprising.]

[Yeah, look at the decisions she makes and the stupid things she says. I think she might not be very smart.]

[Even if she's not smart, she wouldn't do something like this at the company. It's so embarrassing.]

[She's just an idiot. I'm really worried about the company's future!]
