Chapter 844 Head of Department
Saffron thought it was just a slight difference, but Elara replied irritably, "There's quite a big gap."
"Doesn't that mean I'm going to be her subordinate? That pisses me off! She'll definitely make my life miserable," Saffron said anxiously.
"I knew she couldn't be so kind, letting me join the company just to mess with me!" Saffron clenched her fingers in anger. "She must want to torture me and then kick me out of the company, just to mock me."
"I also think she has such a malicious intent. Saffron, this is a trap. You can't fall into it. Maybe you shouldn't join the company?"
"No way! If I don't join the company, I'll have even fewer opportunities in the future, and she'll step all over me. I'm not afraid of her! I don't believe I'm worse than Juniper!"
The next morning.
As soon as Juniper got in the car, Saffron slipped into the passenger seat.
"Why are you in my car? Get out."
"We're both going to the company anyway. I'll just ride with you from now on. It's more convenient," Saffron said matter-of-factly.
"You want me to be your driver? Do you deserve it?"
"Juniper, do you have to be so petty? You're going to the company anyway. What's the harm in giving me a ride? It saves the driver from running back and forth and wasting gas money."
Today, Saffron wasn't wearing flashy clothes, but she was carrying a platinum bag.
This ostentatious woman!
Juniper found everything about her annoying and felt she would cause trouble.
"If that's the case, then you drive."
Saffron frowned, "Why should I?"
"Because you're just a small department head and I'm the Deputy General Manager. Isn't it only natural for a subordinate to drive the boss?"
"It's not work hours yet. Don't use your Deputy General Manager title to pressure me. I won't listen to you," Saffron said angrily.
"Either get out or drive. Don't waste my time."
Saffron's face flushed with anger, and she gritted her teeth, "Fine, you win."
As soon as she got out of the car, Juniper sped away.
Saffron stomped her foot in frustration.
On her first day at work, Saffron was late.
Damn it, the traffic was so bad at eight in the morning, it took her over an hour. It was driving her crazy.
And she usually slept until nine or ten if she didn't have to work, but today she had to get up at seven. She was exhausted, feeling like she had used up all her energy just getting to the office.
She strutted into the project department like a proud peacock.
The other employees couldn't help but glance at her.
First, because Saffron walked with a swagger that was hard to ignore. Second, because of her platinum bag, which cost at least $50,000.
She was just a department head with a monthly salary of over $10,000. What was her background to afford such an expensive bag?
Was she some big leader's mistress?
Looking at her outfit and smug expression, it seemed quite possible.
But being so blatant, wasn't it a bit too much?
Even the people brought in by some company leaders didn't dare to carry such an expensive bag.
Being too high-profile is often not a good thing.
This woman was sure to stir up trouble in the project department.
They were waiting to see.
Saffron went straight to her office in Department 3.
She was greeted by her assistant, Bianca.
"This is my office?" Juniper took off her sunglasses, staring in disbelief at the small, stuffy room that was less than half the size of her bathroom.
"How is this any better than a cubicle?"
"No choice, Ms. Cooper. There are too many people."
"Are the other department heads' offices bigger than mine?"
"About the same, maybe a little bigger," Bianca said awkwardly.
"Damn it." That bitch Juniper had embarrassed her on her first day at work.
Saffron threw her platinum bag and sunglasses on the desk in frustration. "It's so hot. It took me an hour just to get to work. Damn it."
"Ms. Cooper, have you never worked before?" Bianca asked cautiously, hearing her constant complaints and knowing she had a bad temper.
"So what if I haven't? If you have money, do you need to work? I can just lie down and spend money," Saffron said arrogantly.
"Right, right."
But Bianca was worried. If she had no work experience and a bad temper, it would be troublesome in the future. Serving this boss would be tough.
"How many people are in our department?"
"Three, including you and me."
"Three?" Saffron jumped out of her chair. "How can a department have only three people? How many people are in other departments?"
"A dozen or so."
Saffron frowned, "How many people were in our department before?"
"A dozen or so."
So Juniper had deliberately emptied her department to mess with her.
What was she supposed to do? Do all the work herself? She came to enjoy commanding subordinates and giving orders.
If there was no one to order around, her joy would be halved.
"Get the people back."
"No, that's the Deputy General Manager's arrangement. We can only follow orders. We don't have the authority to say no."
Saffron slammed the table in anger, "Who says I don't have authority? Do you know who I am?"
Bianca shook her head. She must have a background, but Bianca didn't know the specifics and didn't dare to ask.
Saffron almost blurted it out, but Aaron had warned her not to reveal her identity, and she had agreed, so she held back.
"I'm going to find Juniper."
"Ms. Cooper, Ms. Cooper..."
Juniper was in a meeting with Kieran when Saffron suddenly barged in.
"Juniper, did you do this on purpose?"
Both of them frowned.
A trace of displeasure crossed Kieran's face as he adjusted his glasses.
They were both Aaron's daughters, but how could their manners be so different?
Of course, their looks and temperament were also very different. Saffron was dressed in designer brands, but her temperament couldn't compare to Juniper's.
No, she wouldn't even be compared to Juniper.
"Messing around with men again, even though you have a boyfriend, you can't stay honest. Always like this, never changing," Saffron said sarcastically. "You, get out."
"Learn to knock next time!" Juniper warned.
"This is my dad's company. I can come and go as I please, can't I?"
Seeing Saffron's arrogant attitude, Juniper couldn't help but sneer, "If you dare to say that in front of Dad, then go ahead."
"You..."
"I'll leave for now. We can continue later," Kieran nodded slightly and left.
Kieran was quite handsome, scholarly, mature, and proper, and he looked very smart.
Aaron had arranged for Kieran to mentor Juniper and given her a high position. It was favoritism and unfair.
Saffron was angry about this unfair treatment.
"Did you reassign my department's people?" Saffron demanded.
