Chapter 864 Elara's Man
Elara heard this and looked terrified, as if the sky was falling.
Seeing the sneer on Juniper's face, she suddenly realized that all of this was Juniper's plot, planned from the very beginning.
The reason she agreed to let Saffron join the company was to lead her to her own downfall.
What a scheming bitch!
But now that things had come to this, Elara had no other choice but to blame her daughter for not being as cunning as her.
"If you kick Saffron out, then send me abroad with her. Anyway, you can't stand either of us, so just get rid of us both."
"You think I won't?"
"Try me."
"Pack your things. Tomorrow, you and she are going to Libertonia. I don't want to see either of you."
"You... you... Aaron, after all these years of marriage, how can you be so heartless to me? When you were sick, I took care of you day and night. Have you forgotten? I get it now. You must have conspired with her to kick us out so you can hand the company over to Juniper."
Aaron said firmly, "Whether you leave or not, the company belongs to Juniper. This incident only confirms that I made the right choice. If the Cooper Group were in your hands, you would ruin it."
"Go pack your things. I don't want to see either of you."
Aaron was so angry he was about to have a heart attack.
"Dad, have some water. It's not worth getting angry with them," Juniper comforted him.
Aaron regretted it deeply, shaking his head and sighing, "The biggest mistake of my life was getting involved with Elara. They tried to harm you, and I still trusted them, thinking you were rebellious and sending you abroad. Juniper, I was foolish not to believe you. I'm sorry."
"What's done is done. Besides, if you hadn't sent me abroad, I might have turned out like Saffron. Dad, everything has its pros and cons. I'm doing well now, isn't that enough?"
"Yes, thank goodness you turned out well. Otherwise, I would have been driven to death by those two."
"Are you really going to send them abroad?"
"Yes. If they stay here, they won't change and will keep causing trouble for you. It's time for them to face some hardships abroad."
Juniper nodded. That would be good.
Without those two, both the house and the Cooper Group would be much more peaceful.
That night, Aaron slept in the guest room.
The next morning.
Elara rushed downstairs, shouting anxiously, "Something's wrong, something's wrong!"
"Why are you yelling so early in the morning? Have you packed your things? The flight is at 3 PM."
"Saffron is missing. She ran away from home."
Aaron and Juniper continued eating breakfast, showing no reaction.
"Saffron ran away, and you can still eat?" Elara was anxious. "Aren't you afraid something might happen to her?"
"She's always been willful. What could happen? She has her credit card with her; she's probably out shopping to vent," Aaron said indifferently.
"What if she's not? What if she never comes back? What if she tries to kill herself?"
Juniper chuckled, "Don't you know your daughter? She's not that fragile. She won't die before she gets her revenge on me."
"How can you say that? How can you be so cold-blooded?" Elara shouted at her angrily, "If anything happens to Saffron, I'll skin you alive!"
"Aaron, you need to find our daughter."
"I think she just doesn't want to go abroad and is hiding somewhere. Check her credit card, and you'll know where she is," Aaron said, not worried at all.
Saffron was different from Juniper; she had no independent survival skills and relied entirely on the family's credit card, so she couldn't hide for long or go far.
But Elara was different. She was so anxious she was pulling her hair. "Fine, if you don't care about Saffron's life, I'll find her myself."
With that, she rushed out.
Juniper continued eating breakfast. She knew Saffron wouldn't behave and that getting her out of the country wouldn't be easy; she would definitely cause trouble.
She was right.
"Endless trouble, never a moment of peace," Aaron said as he called his assistant. "Saffron has run away. Find her and bring her to me. I'll personally escort her to the airport."
Juniper finished her last bite of oatmeal. "Dad, I'm off to work."
"Okay."
Juniper drove herself to work.
On the way, she noticed her stockings were torn, so she pulled over to buy a new pair at the mall.
At the mall entrance, she saw Elara sneaking around with a middle-aged man, gesturing about something.
They didn't look intimate, but Juniper's intuition told her something was up.
She quickly took out her phone to take a picture, but they left quickly.
By the time she caught up, they were gone.
Elara, that woman, could she be having an affair? Juniper frowned.
Damn, Juniper was a step too late and didn't get any evidence.
Hugo Graves hurriedly pulled Elara to a corner by the back door.
"Didn't we agree to meet at the hotel on the 14th of every month? Why did you call me out? What if someone recognizes you?"
Seeing Hugo's nervousness, Elara thought of how Aaron was afraid of Juniper. Why are men so useless these days?
"You coward!"
"I'm not a coward; I'm thinking about you and our daughter," Hugo argued. But in reality, he was afraid of being exposed and losing Elara's financial support.
"You still have the nerve to talk? Our daughter has run away from home," Elara's eyes were red.
"What happened?"
"It's that damn bitch's fault. Aaron wants to send us abroad."
"Send you abroad? What about me? Will he still give you money?" Hugo almost asked, "Will you still give me money?"
Elara was furious. "Money, money, money. All you care about is money. You're with me for money, and our daughter is just a tool for you to make money! All you see is money."
"Of course not. I'm worried about you and Saffron. You've been with Aaron for so many years. If you end up with nothing, wouldn't that be a waste?"
"If we really get kicked out with nothing, will you support us?" Elara knew Hugo was useless and relied on her, but in her most vulnerable moments, she still hoped for some comfort from him, even if it was a lie.
But Hugo hesitated. "I used to be a worker, didn't make much money, and haven't worked for twenty years. How can I support you?"
Useless! Useless! Elara cursed in her heart.
Aaron might be a coward, but at least he had money. This one, she must have been blind.
Aaron used to keep her in a villa, and Hugo was the maintenance worker there. She couldn't resist his muscles and had an affair, resulting in Saffron. Fortunately, it hadn't been discovered all these years.
She and Hugo had maintained a long-term secret relationship, with Hugo relying on the thousands of dollars she sent him every month for many years.
Now that she was about to fall from grace, Hugo only cared about himself. Selfish!
"It's not that serious. Let's find Saffron first. She's just being willful and will come back soon. Don't worry."
"You're useless. What a waste of time!" Elara angrily pushed Hugo away.
