Chapter 265 Biological Father

The man kissed the woman's neck and teasingly said, "Baby, are you happy?"

"Do you want to do it again?" He continued to tempt her.

"It's been a long time. Do you want to exhaust yourself?" The woman had a rosy complexion and looked in good shape.

"Yeah, I really want to die with you. You are like a woman who has never given birth to a child. I really want to make love to you all night long."

"Stop joking. I have to go back and be with my daughter."

This woman was Grace.

"You heartless woman. It's been four years and you haven't even contacted me. I thought you had forgotten about me."

"I didn't expect you to still have the same number." Grace only called that number after drinking. She was surprised when the call connected.

"I didn't change it because of you. I've been waiting for your call."

Grace didn't know if this statement was true or false, but she was happy to hear it. She pretended to be unhappy. "Liar."

"Who said I'm lying? We were so close. You should have believed me. You're so heartless. Four years ago, you kicked me out. And now, you suddenly remember me. I've been thinking about you all this time."

Grace squinted her eyes.

If she hadn't been drunk, she wouldn't have thought of him.

Was she doing it for her physical loneliness or her emotional loneliness? Was she trying to seek revenge on Caleb or to prove that she still had charm? Maybe both. In any case, Grace contacted the person she shouldn't have contacted the most, Candy's biological father, Sammy Gill.

Four years ago, Caleb proposed a breakup. She was in great pain and got drunk. Then, she slept with her own bodyguard, Sammy. And then, she gave him 200 thousand dollars.

But at that time, she thought the child was Caleb's. It was only after Candy was born that she had a DNA test and found out they were not father and daughter.

Candy was Sammy's daughter.

Fortunately, Caleb did not find out. Grace gradually became less anxious as well. Only she knew about this matter.

She shouldn't have contacted Sammy, but it was also not safe to find other men. At least Sammy would keep the secret.

"What? Am I so impressive compared to your husband, so you thought of me?"

"Hmph..."

"What does your sneer mean? Could it be that you and your husband are not making love anymore?"

Grace sneered.

"He was with such a good wife like you, yet he doesn't want to make love? Is your husband impotent or am I better than him?"

"Stop talking." Grace pushed him away and stood up. Her short skirt displayed her perfect figure. Countless nights, she could only admire her own body in front of the mirror, while Caleb showed no interest in her.

She had had enough of the insults.

If he could have affairs, she could also find other men.

With that thought in mind, Grace took out a card from her bag. "Here's 100 thousand dollars, I'll contact you in the future."

Sammy, shirtless, smiled greedily. "Mrs. Eilish, are you planning to support me long-term?"

"Enough talk. Remember to keep it a secret."

For the safety of her own body, Grace felt it was reliable to have a long-term man by her side, and it would also be less likely to be discovered. Most importantly, Sammy was a bodyguard after all, he had good physical strength and a good figure, and he was also very skilled in sex.

Grace walked out of the hotel, hailed a taxi, and called Caleb.

Just as it rang twice, the call was hung up.

Grace frowned irritably. The pleasure brought to her by sex had disappeared immediately.

She narrowed her eyes with determination.

"Caleb, I will definitely find your mistress!"

The day after resigning, Layla went to Brightness Design Company which Susan had recommended to her. Layla had heard of this company before. The company was medium-sized, far from being as big as the Holland Group, but it had a good reputation in the industry.

Her contact person was Levi Marks, the deputy director of the design department. He was in his thirties and wore glasses. He had a bit of a belly and looked friendly.

"Susan showed me your designs. You became the lead designer for the Eilish Resort project at such a young age. You really are a genius. May I ask why you let go of such a great opportunity?" Levi said boldly.

"For personal reasons," Layla replied with a faint smile. She had put on some makeup today to hide her exhausted appearance, but her mental condition was still not great.

"Oh, then I won't ask. We're lucky to have you in our company. As for the salary, since you're a newcomer, we can only offer you $2,000 for now, but it will increase later. Can you accept that?"

"That's fine," Layla said, already satisfied with this salary. Without Susan's recommendation, with her qualifications, she would have only been able to earn $1,000 at most.

"Layla, welcome to our company."

"Thank you."

In the morning, Layla was busy familiarizing herself with the environment and the business, as well as organizing her own workspace.

During lunch break, while other colleagues went to eat, Levi called her into his office.

A dignified and refined man on the sofa made Layla stunned. "Mr. Eilish."

"Layla." Anthony nodded. His three-piece suit highlighted his aristocratic demeanor. He was very elegant. There was a soft light shimmering in his eyes when he looked at her.

"Mr. Eilish has been praising you all this time. I was worried that he wouldn't let go of you so easily. Haha," Levi made a few jokes, sounding very respectful toward Anthony.

Anthony's appearance in their company was their good fortune.

"You two talk first. I'll go make some coffee." Levi closed the door.

"Mr. Eilish..."

"Why are you so aloof? We are friends." Anthony smiled lightly.

"I'm sorry I didn't inform you when I resigned."

"When I heard that, I was somewhat unhappy, but more so regretful. I respect your choice," Anthony said. He had calmed down himself before coming to see her.

She had lost a lot of weight and looked worn out, which pained him.

"You haven't been doing well lately, have you?" he asked tenderly.

"I'm okay."

"Samuel came to find you, right? He publicly refused the marriage and humiliated the Eilish family, as well as his own father. His father was so angry that he suffered a heart attack and was in the hospital for two days. He almost didn't make it.

"Layla, I do not know what Samuel told you, but Samuel was heartless, selfish. He only considered himself, he only loved himself. He was capable of killing his own loved ones with his own hands. He was a ruthless devil. How could he have genuine feelings for you? He doesn't even have a heart."

Layla remained silent.

Darwin wasn't a good person either. He didn't care about his son; he saw Samuel as a tool to make money for the Holland Group. In order to force a marriage, he even kidnapped Samuel's mother. Layla wanted to say that Darwin brought all this upon himself and deserved it.

But they were already unrelated to her, so she didn't comment.

"I've already broken up with him. It's meaningless for you to say all this," Layla said.

"Hasn't he tried to contact you? Does he have a new love?" Anthony was somewhat surprised.

"Regardless, we have completely ended it. Don't ask about the rest." Layla seemed unwilling to say more.

Anthony blinked his eyes. He seemed determined. He said, "If that's the case, please give me a chance to take care of you."
