Chapter 279 Securing a Big Deal
When mentioned, Fanny looked very gloomy. "It's been three months. However, there was still no result. In three days, the Sheeran Group will make a decision. I don't think we can do it."

"Fanny can't close these deals, yet Layla dares to try? I wonder where she got the courage from?"

"You guys just don't understand. You have to brag first. Anyway, since she can't close them, Mr. Marks won't blame her."
"If she can close the deals, I'll cut off my own head."
As soon as everyone left, Fanny immediately looked angry. She crossed her arms and hummed discontentedly, "Why did you keep me here? You should have kept Layla."
"Why should I keep her? She's not my little darling." Levi smirked and went to embrace Fanny, his usually gentle and kind face appearing somewhat lecherous.
"Don't touch me." Fanny struggled but with little strength.
"Are you jealous?"
"What am I jealous of? Your wife is not me, I'm just an underground mistress."
"What mistress? That sounds too harsh. You are my beloved one. My soulmate." Levi kissed Fanny's neck.
"Annoying. Don't touch me!"
"Layla is younger and prettier than me. It's normal for you to have feelings for someone else. I'm getting old and not attractive anymore. What else can I say?"
"You are not old or unattractive. You're clearly the one who looks like a young girl. There's nothing between me and Layla. I just appreciate her design skills."
"Yes! She has skills, and I don't. Can we stop now?"
"Look at you! Women. Whatever I say is wrong. There's nothing between me and Layla, so stop targeting her."
Upon hearing this, Fanny immediately broke free from Levi's embrace, glaring angrily. "Did you keep me here just to say this? Do you think I'm bullying her?"
"I didn't say that."
"But that's what you think."
Levi couldn't explain it. He had originally wanted to comfort her, but things ended up getting worse.
"You feel sorry for her, don't you? That's what you said, right?"
Levi was also a little annoyed. "You're being unreasonable."

Joseph stepped out of his luxury car with his long legs. He suddenly stopped when he saw a thin woman entering his company, the Sheeran Group.
He immediately took out his phone. "Guess who I just saw?"
Two days later, Levi held a follow-up meeting in the conference room.
After the routine summary, Levi asked, "Layla, how's the project with the Sheeran Group going?"
Before Layla could speak, others mocked, "What could it be? It's over."
"I heard that the Sheeran Group has already signed the contract."
"She just wanted to show off. What's the result?"
"If you don't have the ability, don't act tough. It's shameful!"
Facing their ridicule, Layla calmly took out a contract. "It's already signed."
Upon hearing that, shock registered on everyone's faces.
Fanny almost jumped out of her chair.
Levi was also shocked. "You’ve signed a contract with the Sheeran Group?"
"Yeah."

Layla looked indifferently at the other person. "Didn't you say the Sheeran Group had already signed the contract?"
She did say that, but she didn't expect it to be a contract with Layla.
Levi took the contract and, indeed, saw the signature of the Sheeran Group's leader. He jumped up in excitement. "Layla, you're amazing! You're my lucky star!"

The people around Fanny had gloomy expressions.
As they stepped out of the meeting room, Layla's colleagues, who usually treated her like air, warmly greeted her.

"Those who come from the Holland Group are exceptional."
"Let's have lunch together later. It's my treat."
"Layla, we're colleagues, we should help each other in the future."
Layla was a genuine person, so she didn't like being friends with hypocrites, but how many people weren't hypocritical? After all, they were just colleagues.
She smiled. "Sure."
Meanwhile, Fanny was livid.
