Chapter 369 Won't Snitch Secretly, Right?

"How's my cousin Ava? Is she okay?" a woman asked behind a wall.

"She's fine. I'm dying," Jacob replied.

"What's wrong?"

"I feel like I'm dying, all because of you."

"You're shameless."

"I'm serious. Little fairy, why are you so beautiful? I can't control myself when I see you."

"You say that to every woman, don't you?"

"Of course not. I've only said it to you. I like you so much."

"Keep your voice down. If my cousin Ava finds out about us, I'm done."
"She trusts you so much, so she won't find out."
"It's because she trusts me, so it's even worse if she knows. I shouldn't have been lenient with you." The woman was kissed and hummed.

"No, it's because I'm handsome and skilled."

Then came the sound of their lovemaking.

Layla felt disgusted and wanted to leave, but accidentally stepped on a steel bar.

"Who?" Jacob nervously chased out, his zipper still open. Seeing Layla, his face turned pale. "Why are you here?"

"Who is she?" a woman in her thirties, very charming, followed out. "Jacob Reed, is she your woman too?"

"No, she's not. She's the designer hired by Ava."

"I'm not an idiot to be easily fooled around. How could someone so young be a designer? She must be a hostess from a bar. Jacob Reed, I gave you too much credit. I shouldn't believe you."
The charming woman glared at Layla fiercely, pushed her aside, and left.

"Serenity, Serenity. Why did you come at this time?" Jacob was helpless.

"Come to discuss details." Layla looked at Jacob's embarrassed face indifferently.

"Ava Claire won't give you the project. Aren't you wasting your time?"

"Until she replies to me, I'll keep trying."

"You won't succeed! I know her best. She holds grudges easily. She probably wants to chew you up now, so she won't hire you as a designer. What did you hear just now?"

"I didn't hear anything."

"That's impossible. You must have heard. Me and Serenity, we..." Jacob couldn't explain clearly, so he asked directly, "You won't snitch, right? It's not good for you. Serenity is Ava Claire's cousin. She won't suspect us. Don't do this foolish thing."

"I'm not interested in things that have nothing to do with me."

"Really? You won't tell?"

"It's none of my business," Layla said coldly.

Jacob finally breathed a sigh of relief, showing a greasy smile. "Layla, I knew you're not someone who likes to snitch. You saw it too. Ava Claire doesn't see me as a person at all. I have no dignity in front of her. I'm so wronged. And I'm so handsome. Those women come to me on their own. I didn't provoke them, I swear."

Layla ignored him, seriously looking at the venue.

Jacob followed her like a shadow. He knew Layla looked down on him, and she was not easy to deal with. However, when he saw her cold and proud face, he couldn't help but be infatuated.

Men like beautiful women, especially smart, and talented women, who are even more charming. Since Jacob had never encountered this kind before, he wanted to have a sexual relationship with her even more.

Jacob continued to follow persistently. "How about I take you to dinner? Being friends is also fine."

Jacob thought to himself, 'Layla's aloofness might be a facade. After a few drinks, her true nature would be revealed.'

Annoyed by Jacob's persistence, Layla stopped and looked at him coldly. "If you say one more word, I'll tell Ava Claire everything I heard just now."

Jacob's face stiffened, and he touched his nose awkwardly. "Okay, take your time. I'll go back to the hospital first."

Just as Jacob entered the ward, a vase flew past Jacob's ear.

Jacob jumped up in shock like a toad, shouting, "Are you crazy? You almost hit my face!"

"Are you cursing at me?" Ava was furious.

Jacob wanted to strangle her. Ava was already irritable, and she became even more aggressive after entering the hospital, treating him like an animal. Jacob didn't know when he would snap and beat Ava up.
"Where were you?"

"At the bar."

"You dare to see that slut again?"

"I didn't see her. I made an appointment with Serenity."

"Why are you meeting up with her? Jacob Reed, she's my cousin. Do you dare..."

"You're overthinking. She knows many designers, right? I want her to recommend one. That's why I met her. You don't even trust her?"

"I trust Serenity, but I don't trust you. Jacob Reed, this isn't the first time you've done something to upset me. But Serenity is my cousin. If you have any ideas about her, I won't let you off."

Jacob sneered in his heart. 'We've already had sex several times! Fool!'

Jacob said, "I know. I treat her like a cousin, nothing more."

"You always throw tantrums. Who can stand you except me?" Jacob poured a glass of water and handed it over. Ava pushed it heavily, splashing Jacob all over.
Ava sneered at Jacob, "You're just after money, right? Take my money and serve me obediently. Don't pretend to be someone of status. Do you think you deserve it?"

Jacob cursed in his heart, 'You don't deserve me.'

It seemed that Layla hadn't snitched, but Jacob was still worried and couldn't help but ask, "Did that designer not come today?"

Ava sneered, "What? Are you missing her?"

"How could I? I was afraid she would disturb your rest, and you would get angry when you saw her. I was worried about your health. Why do you always misunderstand me? I swear to God, I'm sincere to you. Don't always wrongly accuse me, okay? Even if she's interested in me, I wouldn't like her. I only like you."

Ava spat. "Take a look at yourself. Neither of you is a good person."

Jacob grinned, "You're the only good one."
Jacob's phone vibrated in his pocket, and he felt it. "I'll go to the restroom."

Ava glared at Jacob, "How many times do you run to the restroom in a day? Do you have kidney problems?"

"How can I serve you with kidney problems? I got splashed by you just now. I'm going to wipe it off."

"There are tissues here."

"A towel is more convenient."

"Hurry up."

"I know." Jacob felt impatient, feeling like he was in prison.

Entering the restroom, Jacob locked the door, took out his phone, and checked the message.

His eyes widened in surprise. Then, an evil smile appeared on his face.

'I knew it!' Jacob thought.
