Chapter 898 The Love of Romance
"Brynn." Eldon was stunned as he opened the door to find the room filled with pink and red heart-shaped balloons.
In the middle of the large room, candles were arranged in the shape of a heart, and Brynn stood in the center holding a bouquet of pink roses.
"Brynn... this is..." Eldon was a bit confused, a bit shocked, and his heart was racing.
He walked to the center of the candles.
"Eldon, I like you!" Brynn mustered up her courage and said firmly.
Eldon's heart skipped a beat.

"It wasn't until my dad asked you to leave that I realized my feelings for you were not just familial, but romantic. I want to be with you forever, to be your girlfriend, your wife, to get married. Eldon, I want to grow old with you."
Brynn blushed, "You must be shocked to hear this. Don't be scared. I don't need you to respond right away. I'm just expressing my feelings. You don't have to answer me immediately."
"Maybe you still see me as a sister, but that's okay. Love can be nurtured, right?" Brynn said, still a bit worried.
What if it was just her one-sided wishful thinking? What then?
"Don't feel pressured, I..."
Eldon smiled, "My silly princess."
"Are you making fun of me? I know this is impulsive, but I couldn't help it. I wanted you to know my feelings right away. And I said you don't have to respond immediately, I..."
"I'm laughing at how silly you are. How could you think this feeling is one-sided?"
Brynn was stunned, her heart racing, but this time it was a strong feeling of excitement, "You mean..."
"I like you too."
Brynn nervously swallowed, "The kind of like you're talking about, is it the same as mine? I mean, the kind for the opposite sex, the kind that involves kissing and hugging, not familial love."

"Yes, the love of romance, not familial love!"
"Are you sure?"
"Silly, how many times do I have to say it for you to believe? Still doubting?" Eldon cupped her face, "I love you, the love of romance, the kind between a man and a woman, the kind that involves kissing and hugging, the kind that lasts a lifetime. Do you understand?"
"I was planning to confess to you too, but I didn't expect you, this quirky little girl, to beat me to it." Eldon shook his head, sweetly, "You're just too cute."
"So, this love is mutual?"
"Yes, I knew I loved you since I was fifteen."
"Then why didn't you say it earlier?" Brynn asked in surprise.
"You were still young then, and I didn't dare. But now it's different. Nothing can stop us from being together. I love you, love you! Really love you."
Eldon cupped her face and slowly leaned down.
Brynn was still floating in the clouds, staring dazedly as Eldon's face got closer and closer, his pleasant breath right at her nose.
Was he going to kiss her? This was her first kiss, her first kiss.
Brynn's heart pounded like thunder, and she closed her eyes in anticipation.
Their lips met, his lips were so soft, and a current spread through Brynn's body, making her feel weak and tingly.
'So this is what a kiss feels like.'
'It really is as wonderful as a dream, so sweet.'
The kiss deepened.
Before it became uncontrollable, Eldon let her go.
Brynn looked at him, still wanting more, her face flushed, "Just, just like that?"
She hadn't had enough.
"If I didn't let go, you would have passed out from holding your breath." Eldon laughed, tapping her nose, "Don't you know how to breathe?"
"I... I don't. It was my first kiss, who has such good kissing skills like you?" Brynn suddenly got angry, "Did you kiss other girls to get such good kissing skills?"
"This was my first kiss too."
Brynn's face turned even redder, "Then how are you so good at it?"
"Maybe men have a natural talent for this, self-taught."

Eldon's lower abdomen tightened, but he held back, not wanting to scare her.

Eldon suddenly knelt down, "Mr. Elise, Mrs. Elise, thank you for adopting me from the orphanage and giving me a different life. And thank you for bringing Brynn into my life. You gave me a second chance at life."
"I love Brynn. I will take good care of her, treat her well, and cherish her. Please give me a chance."
"No need for that, get up, get up." Celestia quickly helped Eldon up.
"Her father and I have long considered you our son. We're all family. We're very happy that you're with Brynn, and we trust you the most."
"Brynn's stubborn temper, only you can handle it. Please be patient with her."
"Mom, what are you saying? I'm very popular." Brynn stuck out her tongue playfully, "Is there any girl with a more lovely and kind personality than me? No way."
"Eldon, I trust your character and your genuine feelings for Brynn. But Brynn is my precious daughter, and I won't allow anyone to hurt her. So I must warn you, if you ever make her suffer, I won't let you off."
