Chapter 379 Presidential Suite

In her heart, Layla wasn’t sure if they had taken it or not. Her face became increasingly gloomy. They had been bullying her all along.

"What are you staring at? How rude!" Cassandra felt a bit guilty under Layla's gaze, but she remained arrogant since she had five people on her side.

"If you took it, give it back to Layla quickly. Is this kind of prank fun for you?" Levi said, his eyes full of undisguised disgust.

"Mr. Allen, you're defending her too much. If you’re trying to say we stole it, show us the evidence. If you can't, don't accuse us of anything."

"It's clearly your own fault for being useless. You can't even keep an eye on a piece of luggage, so don’t blame everyone else for it."

"We have no relationship with you at all."

Layla closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She didn’t want to get angry as she realized it wasn't worth it. "Forget it, Mr. Allen, I'll have someone look for it."

The suitcase must still be at the company, or they might have already thrown it away. In any case, it was not in City B, so it was useless to argue.

"What else is in the suitcase besides clothes and skincare products? Is your ID card in the suitcase too?"

"Yes."

"How do we register? Cassandra, you two are sharing a room, so you should register."

"No, the room was booked under the company's name. We need to register everyone’s IDs. If she doesn't have an ID card, she has to sleep in the corridor. Mr. Allen, don’t you have a room to yourself? Since you care so much about her, you can let her stay in your room. Let's go register. I'm exhausted, let's get some rest."

"Cassandra, you’ll enjoy sleeping alone."

"She’s so stupid that she can't even keep an eye on a suitcase. Serves her right!"

The group left, laughing loudly.

"They must have taken the suitcase. They’re so hateful!" Mr. Allen was very angry. "When I become the CEO again, I will definitely fire them all."

But that was all for later. The current issue needed to be resolved.

"Layla. Why don't you sleep in my room? Don't get the wrong idea, I'll go squeeze in with some other colleagues."

"No need, I'll figure something out myself." Except for Levi's single room, the other male colleagues were two to a room. She didn't want him to share a room with two others, and it would invite gossip.

"But you don't have an ID card, so the hotel won't let you check-in."

"I’ll think of something, you should go register first."

"But..." Levi saw that her expression was calm and she seemed to have a plan, so he nodded. "I'll wait for you in the lobby."

Layla took out her phone and sent a message: [Are you free now?]

After she sent it, the phone rang immediately. It was even faster than a message.

"Did you miss me?" Samuel's magnetic voice said through the phone. Layla's drooping mouth lifted when she heard his voice, her mood brightening.

"Yes, I miss you."

"Have you arrived?"

"I’ve just arrived. But I ran into a little trouble. I lost my suitcase."

"Was it lost or stolen?"

Nothing could escape Samuel's notice.

Layla smiled helplessly. "Anyway, it's not with me, my ID card, my clothes, everything is in it, so I can't check-in now."

"Wait two minutes."

"Okay."

Employees were lining up to check-in at the hotel lobby. Cassandra and her group of five stood at the end of the line.

"Layla doesn't have an ID card, where will she sleep tonight?"

"She’ll sleep on the street or in the corridor. Where she sleeps doesn't concern you. I've taken both cards, they won't let her in."

"She won't be left with nowhere to sleep. At least Mr. Allen is willing to accommodate her."

"Even better, I'll call Mr. Allen's wife and have her come catch them in the act of adultery, it'll be exciting."

"Cassandra, you're really smart. By the way, where did that suitcase go?"

"I’ve thrown it in the trash. She's trash herself, so even her things need to be thrown away."

"Well done. If Ms. Taylor finds out about this, she'll definitely reward you."

"Of course, I'll tell Ms. Taylor." Cassandra eagerly sought recognition.

"This hotel is luxurious and magnificent."

"Indeed. This is the most luxurious hot spring resort in City B. A regular room costs $500 a night, and the most extravagant part is, they have what's known as the world's top Presidential Suite here," Cassandra said.

"A Presidential Suite!" The group exclaimed in unison.

"I've never stayed in a Presidential Suite before."

"If I could stay in a Presidential Suite once in my life, it would be worth it."

"The Presidential Suite must cost several thousand dollars, right?"

Cassandra chuckled inwardly at their lack of knowledge.

"It costs three hundred thousand dollars!"

"Three hundred thousand dollars?" The women were shocked. Their jaws almost dropped.

"Oh my, I don't even earn that much in a year."

"It's too expensive."

"It's impossible, even a Presidential Suite can't possibly be three hundred thousand dollars a night, that's too much."

"Three hundred thousand dollars might be an astronomical figure for you, but for the wealthy, it's just a small number. I'm talking about top-tier rich people. There's only one Presidential Suite here. You can only book it if you have a membership, money alone isn't enough, you have to be the ultimate VIP here to stay there. And only nine people in the world are ultimate members here."

"Oh my goodness, the world of the wealthy is terrifying."

"Three hundred thousand dollars? I couldn't earn that much even if I didn't eat or drink for ten years, and they spend it in just one night. How extravagant."

"If only I were wealthy. If a wealthy person took notice of me, they would change my fate. I could stay in luxury hotels every day and buy luxury goods."

"You're dreaming."

As they marveled at the exorbitant room rate, a handsome manager respectfully welcomed Layla in.

Layla walked in arrogantly without looking around.

"Miss Adkins, this way please."

"Layla? How did she get in?"

"That handsome manager is serving her."

"What's going on?"

Cassandra pursed her lips and walked over. "Layla, how did you get in?"

Layla looked indifferently at Cassandra, as if she was regarding a joke. "I came in to stay at the hotel, of course, why else would I be here?"

"Miss Adkins, you'll be using the VIP channel, it's over there."

Cassandra hurriedly blocked Layla's path. "You must be mistaken. She's not a VIP, she came with us She’s just a regular employee of Brightness Design Company. And she doesn't have an ID card, she can't check-in."

"Miss Adkins is an ultimate VIP here, so there’s no need to check-in."

"What?" The group was shocked. "She's an ultimate VIP?"

Cassandra became anxious. "You must be mistaken. She's just a regular employee, how could she be an ultimate VIP?"

"Miss Adkins is our hotel's tenth ultimate VIP. She’s our most esteemed guest, there's no mistake," the manager said confidently. "Miss Adkins will be staying in our Presidential Suite tonight."

"The Presidential Suite that costs three hundred thousand dollars a night?"

The manager proudly announced, "Exactly, it’s the world's most luxurious Presidential Suite, there's only one at this hotel, and it's now five hundred thousand dollars a night."
