Chapter 785 Future Son-in-law

So it was true that she had moved on. She had accepted someone new.

As for him, he was just a thing of the past, abandoned in old memories.

Like in an endless gray void, he could only see himself, a lonely figure.

It was time for him to completely step back.

Anthony turned around, his legs heavy, and left despondently.

The two had just finished kissing.

Brice's eyes sparkled with excitement, "Oh, my baby, you're a hundred times sweeter than I imagined. I'm addicted."

"Your mouth is sweeter," Juniper teased with a smile.

She couldn't say she liked the kiss very much, but at least she could accept it. She believed she would grow to like it more and more, and her body would fully accept Brice.

"Is this your home? You never mentioned your family was so wealthy."

"There's nothing much to say."

"But I'm pleasantly surprised. I mean, you're so down-to-earth and hardworking. I didn't see any spoiled princess attitude in you, which is rare."

"I just don't have a princess attitude at work. But with my boyfriend, I have a big temper. I'm afraid you'll be bullied to tears by me in the future."

"No way, as long as you don't break up with me, you can bully me however you want. I won't cry unless you break up with me."

Juniper pouted, "All you talk about is breaking up. Do you want to break up with me?"

"Of course not. You have no idea how scared I am that you'll break up with me," Brice shook his head vigorously. "I wish we could get married right now so I could keep you by my side forever."

"It's not that easy. Being my boyfriend requires passing many tests."

"Bring it on!"

"Idiot."

A white Mercedes stopped beside them.

"Juniper, is this your boyfriend?" Aaron got out of the car first.

"Mr. Cooper, hello, I'm Brice," he greeted politely.

"Hello." Aaron looked at the man with admiration. Not bad, he was handsome and, more importantly, down-to-earth.

Unlike Douglas, whom Aaron had found unreliable and flirtatious at first sight, and time had proven him right—Douglas was indeed a scumbag.

Elara helped Saffron out of the car, and they both saw Brice.

He had his arm around Juniper's waist, looking very affectionate.

Saffron, who had just had a miscarriage, was instantly filled with rage.

'Damn it, another man. Why does Juniper have so many men? Is it just because she's beautiful? How many men has she messed around with?'

'And this man is a mixed-race, even more handsome than Douglas before he got greasy, and judging by his clothes, he's wealthy too.'

'Why is Juniper so lucky?' Saffron fumed internally.

"Stay for lunch."

"Dad, it's not convenient. I'll just go out to eat with him."

"What's inconvenient? We have food at home. Why go out? What do you say, Brice?"

"Thank you for the invitation. I'd be delighted."

Aaron and Brice had a great conversation.

The more they talked, the more satisfied Aaron became.

The young man was knowledgeable about stocks, finance, international relations, and clean energy.

Unlike Douglas, who pretended to know everything but couldn't hold a conversation for more than a few sentences.

This was a true gentleman, with impeccable manners and demeanor. Aaron was very pleased.

Elara grew more and more jealous. Why couldn't such a good man be with her daughter, Saffron?

"You seem to know a lot. What does your family do?" Elara asked directly.

"My mother is a pianist, and my father is the CEO of Digital Capital."

"Digital Capital?" Juniper was also surprised.

That was one of the top securities firms in Harmony City. She knew Brice was well-off, but this was a hundred times better than "well-off."

"What kind of company is Digital Capital? Is it impressive?" Elara asked.

"Ignorant." Aaron explained briefly, essentially saying it was worth billions of dollars, twice as much as the Cooper family, and it had noble lineage.

The more Elara listened, the angrier she got. Brice was better than Douglas in every way, richer, and an only child!!!

Elara almost choked on her anger.

"I'm not feeling well. I'll go upstairs first." She couldn't listen anymore, or she'd have a heart attack.

"Brice, why don't you stay here for a few days?" Aaron suggested.

Juniper was startled. Having a meal was fine, but staying over was too much. "Dad, that's not appropriate."

"You're going to get married anyway. We have plenty of guest rooms. Why stay at a hotel? Mainly, I rarely meet a young man I can talk to like this. Brice, what do you think?"

Brice looked at Juniper, "I'll listen to Juniper."

"Dad..." Juniper was about to object.

"It's decided."

"Yes, Juniper, I rarely see Dad so enthusiastic. Let Brice stay," Saffron said gently.

Here we go again, Saffron was acting. When Juniper first brought Douglas home, Saffron was also very gentle and proactive. Was she eyeing Brice now?

If so, she would be disappointed. Brice and Douglas were not the same.

In Juniper's room, Brice said happily, "Your dad seems to like me a lot."

"Not seems, he really likes you. He especially enjoys talking to you." It was clear he already saw Brice as his future son-in-law.

Brice raised an eyebrow, "That means..."

Juniper thought Brice was going to boast, but he kissed her on the cheek and said with a big smile, "That means my baby has good taste."

One sentence praised both of them.

Juniper smiled, "You really know how to talk."

"Not really, it's just that the truth is always sweet. Don't you think?"

"Yes, yes, you're always right. Let me take you to the guest room to rest. You haven't slept for over ten hours; you must be tired."

"No, seeing you makes me feel so energized, not tired at all. A day without seeing you feels like forever, and we haven't seen each other for days. I just want to be with you."

"Aren't you afraid of getting tired of me?"

"How could I get tired of my beautiful baby?"

"So you're saying if I'm not beautiful in the future, you'll get tired of me?"

Brice held her waist, "First, my baby will always be beautiful and charming, never not beautiful. Second, even if we grow old, I'll never get tired of you."

These sweet words were really touching. Juniper felt more and more that she had chosen the right boyfriend.

If only she could completely forget Anthony.

He popped into her mind again.

She wondered how the wedding was going.

"What are you daydreaming about?" Brice snapped his fingers in front of her.

Juniper snapped back, "Nothing. I didn't explain clearly earlier. Anthony and I are over, and he's getting married today."

"Well, that makes me feel much better. Your ex-boyfriend is so outstanding; I was a bit worried."

"You're outstanding too."

"My family is good, but in terms of family background, personal ability, and looks, I'm not as good as Anthony," Brice sighed. His rival in love was too strong; it was tough for him.

"You have your own strengths. Why compare with him?"
