Chapter 905 Wishing for Sulfuric Acid
"Shut up! Stop saying such stupid things. I told you there's no turning back for us," Saffron snapped at Elara, clearly irritated.
"Even if we try to run now, it's too late. Aaron won't let us go. We might as well take a gamble; maybe we can still get the Cooper Group. I'd rather die than live like a beggar."
"Prison is worse than death; you won't be able to handle it," Elara advised.
"It's too late to say that now."
"You... you really want to kill Aaron?" Elara's voice trembled violently.
"If he doesn't die, the medical orders won't take effect. When we make it look like an accident, with the will in place, Juniper won't be able to do anything to us."
"But is the Cooper Group really more important than a human life?"
Saffron found it laughable and looked up at Elara, asking, "When you poisoned Aaron, did you ever think about the fact that it was a human life?"
Elara was speechless.
Yes, Saffron had become like this because she, as a mother, had set a bad example.
It was her indulgence and spoiling that turned Saffron into the monster she was now.
It was all her fault!
Monsters are often created by their parents.
Elara regretted it, but it was too late, far too late.
There was no turning back.
All the blame was on her, but she couldn't go to prison in Saffron's place.
"Saffron, I'm sorry," Elara cried, "Please stop, I'm begging you."
"Don't bother me! Get lost!" Saffron wheeled herself over to Aaron.
He looked like he was on the verge of death from the torture.
"Still not willing to sign?"
"You... give up... even if I die... I won't..."
"Aaron, you don't care about your own life, and you don't care about Juniper's life either? My patience is running out. If you don't sign, I'll kill your precious daughter!"
Aaron, who had been barely conscious, suddenly became agitated and growled, "Don't touch her!"
"See, you can't bear the thought of her being hurt. So just sign the papers, or I'll kill her."
Aaron's hesitant eyes showed his inner conflict, but he finally said, "I won't sign."
"I thought you cared more about her, but it turns out she still can't compare to the Cooper Group in your heart. Aaron, in the end, you love yourself the most!" Saffron sneered, "You love money the most."
"It's not about the money; it's that you can't compare to Juniper. You can't handle her."
Saffron was hit where it hurt, and her face twisted with rage, "What did you say?"
"You can't compare to Juniper, you'll never compare to her."
Saffron's expression turned vicious, and she almost had the bodyguard drown Aaron right then and there, "Just wait, I'll bring your daughter to join you soon."
Around ten o'clock at night, Juniper returned home from a date.
"Is my dad asleep?"
"Mr. Aaron Cooper went out early this morning with Mrs. Elara Cooper and Ms. Saffron Cooper, saying they were going for coffee."
"Still not back at this hour? And neither of them has returned?" Juniper asked.
"No."
That's strange, drinking coffee all day?
For some reason, Juniper felt something was off. She took out her phone to call Aaron, but no one answered.
Just then, Aaron called back.
"Dad, where are you?" Juniper asked urgently.
"Your dad is almost dead," Saffron said coldly.
"What have you done to him?" Juniper panicked.
"He's barely hanging on, but Aaron is stubborn and still refuses to sign the will."
"Saffron, are you crazy? He's your dad!" Juniper couldn't believe Saffron could be so ruthless; she was truly insane.
"He's not my dad. You knew all along that I'm not his biological daughter, right?"
Juniper replied, "Yes, you're not like me at all. No wonder there's no blood relation."
Juniper held back her panic, "If you let him go now, I can let bygones be bygones and let you leave the country. Otherwise..."
"Still daring to threaten me? Let me tell you, I've come this far with no intention of turning back. Come to TechTrove Warehouse right now, alone. If you dare call the police, be prepared to collect Aaron's body!" Saffron hung up the phone harshly.
Juniper's brow furrowed, and she immediately thought of calling Anthony for help.
"Ms. Cooper, is everything alright?" the maid asked worriedly, seeing her troubled expression.
"It's nothing." Juniper didn't make the call. She couldn't risk her dad's life, but going there alone was also dangerous. She had to be prepared.
Half an hour later.
Juniper appeared at the warehouse.
"Juniper!" Aaron shouted anxiously, "Take it out on me, let her go!"
"Dad, don't worry," Juniper said calmly, her face showing no sign of panic.
She was scared and nervous inside, but that wouldn't help solve the current danger; it would only put them in more danger.
"Here's five million dollars. Take the money and leave the country. This is your last chance," Juniper said coldly.
"Five million dollars? Hahaha, you think you can get rid of us with that little money? Juniper, do you really take me for a beggar?"
But Elara was very anxious and quickly advised, "Saffron, let's take the money and leave." At least it's four million more than a million dollars.
It's better to figure things out abroad than to commit murder.
"I told you to shut up! Do you think she's being kind? Once we take the money, we'll be caught immediately and still end up in prison."
"As long as you leave now, I won't call the police. But if you don't listen, you'll bear the consequences," Juniper said, narrowing her eyes.
Saffron hated her even more.
That damn bitch, always acting so high and mighty! How infuriating!
What right did Juniper have to be so proud in front of her!
"Juniper, now you're the one begging me. Get on your knees!" Saffron ordered.
Juniper didn't move.
"If you don't kneel, I'll kill your dad!" Saffron threatened. She wanted to humiliate her, to make her crawl on the ground.
"Even if I kneel, you won't let him go." Juniper stood tall.
Saffron was furious, "Tie her up!"
Juniper was also tied to a chair, facing Aaron.
Aaron roared, "Let her go!"
Saffron took a knife and lightly slid it across Juniper's face. She held back her fear, but Saffron could still see she was scared; her hair was trembling.
"What? Scared? Afraid I'll ruin that face you use to seduce men?"
"Juniper, it's that face of yours that all men like, making them fall head over heels for you."
"If I ruin your face, will they still like you? What a pity, I forgot to bring acid. Pouring it on your face would destroy your features."
Saffron fantasized about her miserable screams, feeling a twisted sense of satisfaction.
Killing Juniper wouldn't be enough to vent her anger; disfiguring her would truly satisfy her!
