Chapter 621: I'm Going to Sue You
"Help, help..." Juniper screamed her lungs out, but that creep had already shredded her clothes.
She finally got it—no one's coming to save her. She had to save herself. No way was she letting this jerk ruin her first time. She'd rather die.
Juniper bit her lip, trying to stay conscious, fighting back, yelling, and even biting the guy's shoulder.
"Bitch, you bit me!" The guy slapped her so hard her mouth bled and her head spun.
But he didn't stop.
"Get off me! You bastard! I'll kill you, I swear!" Juniper roared, fighting like a wild lioness. In her panic, she grabbed a lamp. Just as he was tearing her dress, she smashed it over his head.
The guy screamed and dropped.
Juniper clutched her chest and bolted.
"Get back here, get back!"
"Help, help—" Juniper yelled, but the hallway was empty.
Her legs gave out, and she collapsed, spotting a pair of legs. She grabbed them desperately, "Sir, help me, help me..."
Then she blacked out.
"Don't touch me! Bastard, let go of me!" Juniper cursed as she woke up.
Hotel.
Clothes?
She looked down and saw she was in a bathrobe.
A tall guy stood by the window, talking on the phone.
"Bastard!" Juniper gritted her teeth, sneaking up with a lamp.
But just as she was about to strike, the guy turned around, frowning, and grabbed her wrist.
"Ouch," Juniper yelped, dropping the lamp on her foot.
"That's it for now," Anthony hung up the phone, "What are you doing?"
"You..." Juniper started to curse but stopped when she saw how handsome he was, radiating this calm, clear vibe.
After a few seconds of being stunned by his looks, she snapped back, "I didn't expect someone as good-looking as you to be such a jerk!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Don't play dumb, last night you took advantage of me, you..."
Anthony said coolly, "I'm not interested in someone like you."
"What do you mean by someone like me? I..."
Juniper caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror—makeup a mess, hair a disaster, looking like a hot mess.
It was embarrassing.
But that wasn't the point. The point was she thought this guy had raped her.
"You raped me, I'm gonna sue you!" Juniper yelled.
"I'm not into just any woman, especially not someone who looks like you. Frankly, I'm not that desperate."
"I..."
She did look pretty awful, but it was the first time Juniper had been dissed like this, and her pride was about to explode.
"You talk big, but you still changed my clothes? Can you say you didn't do anything to me last night..."
"No, the staff changed your clothes. I didn't touch you. And you were the one who asked me for help last night," Anthony said coldly.
Some memories started coming back to Juniper, and she was skeptical, "So, you really didn't..."
Anthony didn't say anything, but his calm eyes were convincing.
Could it be...
No, she had to check.
Juniper checked the bed sheets—no blood. She darted into the bathroom, saw some marks on her body, but they were from the creep last night. Her legs felt fine, no soreness.
So, nothing really happened last night...
She let out a huge sigh of relief.
Thank God she didn't run into another scumbag. She was really losing it yesterday, almost throwing her virginity away to some random dude just because she was freaking out about marriage.
Never again.
She wasn't gonna hurt herself for anyone, especially not for a bunch of jerks.
Crisis averted.
In the fancy hotel, there were all kinds of makeup removers. Juniper scrubbed off the nightmare makeup from her face.
No wonder he wasn't interested—she looked like a clown. But maybe it was a blessing in disguise; otherwise, she might've lost her purity.
She took a quick shower and stepped out. The guy was still working, eyes glued to his screen.
What a face—handsome and serious, like a good guy, not a hypocrite.
"Why are you working in a hotel? Here for a vacation?" Juniper asked.
He didn't answer, just kept working.
Juniper sat down to eat breakfast. She was starving, having not eaten since last night.
She wolfed down a sandwich and chugged some milk.
The guy acted like she wasn't even there.
"Um... about last night, sorry, I misunderstood. I'll cover the hotel bill."
But he looked like he was loaded, probably didn't care about the money.
"Um... why aren't you talking?"
"Working."
"Well," Juniper said, watching him.
She usually hated rich guys because the ones she knew were all sleazy, even if they were successful. But he seemed different. Maybe she should ask him...
After half an hour of watching him, Juniper made up her mind, "When will you be done working? I need to talk to you."
"Say it."
"Be my boyfriend," Juniper blurted out.
Anthony's eyes stayed on the computer.
"Hey, did you hear me?" Juniper asked.
"Yes."
"So you agree?"
"No."
"Why? You got it wrong, I'm not a prostitute. My makeup was just heavy last night. I'm a finance major at Star University. I'm not lying, I have a high IQ. Do you think I'm making this up? I didn't bring my diploma, but I swear it's true."
"Not important, I refuse."
Juniper felt a bit hurt, "You actually refuse someone as beautiful and smart as me? Look at me."
Anthony looked up at her, indifferent.
"Did you change your mind?" Juniper asked confidently.
"No."
Juniper felt even more hurt. She thought he was scared off by her heavy makeup, and after seeing her natural beauty, he'd regret it. She'd always been a looker.
But...
"Do you like men?" Juniper asked.
Anthony didn't bother to answer.
"If you don't say anything, that means you do? Oh my god, I actually found a gay guy." But then she thought, whatever. "Even if you're gay, I can accept it. I want to be your girlfriend."
"Reason."
