Chapter 904 Changing the Will
Aaron's eyes flickered slightly, as if touched, but he resolutely replied, "You must go to Libertonia, it's for your own good."
Otherwise, seeing them every day would remind him of their betrayal, making their lives even harder.
Driving them away was for their own good?
At this moment, Saffron finally saw clearly that Aaron only cared about Juniper. Their father-daughter relationship over the years was worthless.
Since he was so heartless, she wouldn't hold back either. After all, she learned from him.
Saffron smiled faintly, "Alright."
"Dad, before I leave, can we have one last coffee together? It's my final wish, okay?"
Aaron agreed without much thought, "Okay."
As soon as Aaron left the room, Elara hurried in, "What did your dad say?"
Saffron threw the documents she was packing aside, "Proceed as planned."
Elara was completely disappointed, "He still wants to drive us away."
"Yes, if he is heartless, don't blame me for being ruthless. He was the one who didn't treat me as his daughter first." Saffron said viciously, "We'll tie him up tomorrow."
"Do we really need him to sign the will? I've been thinking, and I still feel this isn't right. Why not just ask him for fifty million dollars? If we go abroad, he won't pursue us. If we force him to sign the will, he definitely won't let us go."
"Given how he treats us now, do you think he won't pursue us for fifty million dollars? Once we act, there's no turning back."
As for Aaron not letting them go, he probably wouldn't live to do so.
But Saffron held back this thought for now. If she said it out loud, Elara would definitely disagree and ruin her plan.
"Stop nagging and just follow my plan."
The next morning, Saffron, Aaron, and Elara left with bodyguards.
Elara drove, Saffron sat in the passenger seat, and Aaron and the bodyguard sat in the back.
Aaron was looking at his phone and only looked up to find they were in the suburbs.
"This isn't the way to the coffee shop, Saffron."
"Saffron?"
Saffron remained silent, her eyes vicious. 'This isn't the way to the coffee shop; it's the road to your death!'
"Saffron?"
Saffron signaled to the bodyguard, who suddenly took out an ether-soaked handkerchief and covered Aaron's nose.
Caught off guard, Aaron struggled for a moment before passing out.
When Aaron woke up, he was tied to a chair in an abandoned factory.
"What are you doing, Saffron?" Aaron looked at Saffron in the wheelchair in shock.
She had actually kidnapped him!
"Saffron?"
"Elara, you two are crazy!"
"Let me go!"
Elara stood nervously to the side.
"Don't bother shouting, it's useless." Saffron sneered, "Dad, no, you're not my dad, and you don't deserve to be."
Aaron frowned; she knew.
"Even if we're not biologically related, I raised you. How could you do something so inhumane?"
"Inhumane? The inhumane one is you, Aaron. You were the one who first disregarded our relationship."
"If I had disregarded it, I would have kicked you out long ago!" Aaron was furious, hating himself for not being ruthless enough, for letting Saffron into the house.
He should have sent them to Libertonia back then, and this tragedy wouldn't have happened!
"Aren't you trying to send us to Libertonia now? I gave you a chance yesterday, but you didn't cherish it and still wanted to drive us away. Don't blame me for being ruthless. Aaron, you forced me."
Aaron was heartbroken. He thought he had seen Saffron's true colors, telling himself it was because she was young and made mistakes.
Only now did he realize this was Saffron's true nature: a heartless and ruthless person.
She had no family affection, only money and goals!
"How could I have raised such a beast!"
"Juniper is the beast, but you treat her like a treasure. You favor her in everything and leave the family fortune to her. Aaron, do you think that's fair to me?"
"Juniper is better than you, kinder. If the company were in your hands, it would be ruined."
"Shut up, don't say useless things. The Cooper Group is mine!" Saffron nodded, and the bodyguard brought a will to Aaron.
"Sign this will, and I'll let you go."
Aaron disdainfully turned his face away, "I've already made a will. Everything in the Cooper family belongs to Saffron! I won't sign."
"Not signing?"
Aaron sneered, "You're too foolish. A will signed under duress is not legally binding."
"If you're dead, no one will know you were forced to sign."
She actually intended to kill him! This shocked Aaron once again.
Elara was also terrified, "Saffron, you, you're just saying that, right? He's your dad."
Killing her own dad, that's worse than a beast. She might even kill her in the future!
Thinking of this, Elara shivered.
What kind of daughter had she raised? She seemed to not know her at all.
"He is biased and doesn't treat me as his daughter, so I don't have a dad. Aaron, I advise you to sign immediately to suffer less, or else..."
Her smile was like that of a vicious demon. Aaron felt cold and fearful, not knowing what heinous acts she would commit against him.
Swallowing hard, "What do you want to do?"
"You still won't give up. You need to suffer a bit!" Saffron gestured.
The bodyguard brought a basin of water and pushed Aaron's head into it.
The water surface bubbled violently.
Elara panicked, "Stop, stop it!"
She tried to intervene but was blocked by the bodyguard.
"Saffron! You're too cruel!"
"He won't sign the will unless I'm cruel to him. We've come this far; there's no turning back." Saffron looked like a crazed gambler, her face cold.
"Saffron!"
Elara was powerless.
Saffron raised her hand, and the bodyguard pulled Aaron's head out of the water.
Aaron coughed violently, his mind filled with the pain and suffocation of near-death.
It was unbearable! He'd rather be killed with a single blow!
Saffron watched Aaron's suffering with satisfaction, "How about it? Have you thought it through?"
Aaron gasped for air, and after a long time, his heavy breathing slightly calmed, "You... dream on... I won't give the company..."
"Continue!"
Aaron's head was pushed into the water again.
And so it went, over and over, until nightfall.
Saffron grew impatient, "Damn it, Aaron is quite stubborn."
Elara, having watched all day, was on the verge of a breakdown, "Saffron, let him go. We don't need the money. We can still escape now."
