Chapter 808 He Had to Find Her
"Congratulations," Anthony responded.
"Congratulations?" Juniper was puzzled. She hadn't said anything yet, so why the sudden congratulations?
"Congratulations on your engagement to Brice."
She had been wanting to say something all day, and this must be it. Afraid he would be angry and cling to her, she hesitated to say it. So, he decided to say it for her.

"Didn't he propose to you?"

Juniper walked out of the restaurant and drove aimlessly around the streets before finally stopping by the roadside.

Anthony, he actually said congratulations and best wishes.
He misunderstood that she had a fiancé.
They had once again fallen into the same old pattern.
She looked up at the sky, smiling sarcastically, "God, what exactly do you want to do with this relationship? If it's going to be one misunderstanding after another, then why did you let me meet Anthony?"

She muttered her complaints, lying on the steering wheel, exhausted, unable to cry, but wanting to laugh at how absurd and ironic it all was.

Working late until ten, Anthony closed the last file.
In front of him appeared Juniper's face.

His emotions had finally started to calm down, and he shouldn't be disturbed again.
He kept recalling her hesitant face that day. What did she want to say to him? Wasn't it about her engagement to Brice?

Anthony stood up, trying to push her out of his mind, and walked out of the office.

"Yes, I proposed to her, but she rejected me, on the same day."
Anthony's mind buzzed as if hundreds of mosquitoes were flying around.
Broke up?
Could it be that what Juniper wanted to tell him wasn't about the engagement, but the breakup? But why did she admit it?
"She's my cousin. I've never betrayed Juniper. Even now, I still like her. But she doesn't love me." Brice smiled bitterly, "I think the person she loves is still you."
Anthony's tall frame shook.
"Although she always says it's all in the past, her heart has always set a barrier for me, no, not just for me, for all men. Because the person she loves in her heart is you."
Brice said, "Because you're there, no one else can get in."
"Juniper is a very loyal girl, and a very good girl. Mr. Eilish, although I can't be with Juniper, I still hope she can be happy. And I believe only you can give her that happiness, please don't let her down."
