Chapter 10 Abandoned Woman

In a magnificent banquet hall, filled with important figures, each person had immense influence in their respective fields.

Natalie had prepared herself to say goodbye to Gabriel. She was indifferent, as she had already moved on.

Although everyone knew Gabriel had an ex-wife, he had never brought her to any formal occasions. Even in the heated online discussions, everyone only knew her name.

Natalie saw Alyssa by Gabriel's side, and she couldn't help but chuckle, thinking that Alyssa had gotten together with him so quickly.

Victor sensed her emotions and gently patted her arm. "Don't worry. I'm here."

Natalie smiled even more brightly. "It's not me who should be afraid."

She no longer had any concerns, fearless.

She could overcome any enemy!

Victor walked up to Gabriel. Their auras were evenly matched, without any distinction of superiority or inferiority.

"Mr. Kensington, it's an honor to meet you."

"Mr. Clark, hello."

They shook hands and then separated in an instant. Gabriel's gaze remained fixed on Natalie, who stood beside Victor, shining and captivatingly charming. The custom-made dress she wore accentuated her flawless fair skin. She seemed like a different person, making it hard for Gabriel to look away.

Dazzling Natalie appeared unfamiliar yet dangerous, exuding a deadly allure. He looked at her with a complex expression...

He wondered, 'Did she disappear to be by Victor's side?

What kind of relationship do they have?'

At this moment, Gabriel's emotions were strange. He vaguely felt a tinge of anger, but even he couldn't explain it.

Alyssa didn't miss the flash of shock on Gabriel's face. She clenched her teeth in secret. Her voice became sharp.

"Natalie, what are you doing here? Is this a place you can come to?"

Alyssa was reminding Natalie not to forget her lowly status.

Gabriel furrowed his brow. Before he could intervene, Victor coldly asked, "Miss, may I ask whose daughter you are?"

Alyssa was stunned. She had forgotten that Natalie had a companion and quickly added, "Sir, perhaps you don't know, but Natalie just recently divorced Gabriel..."

She thought Natalie had attached herself to some powerful figure, but she didn't understand who would be interested in a divorced woman.

Victor remained indifferent and retorted sternly, "Who says that divorced people can't come? Mr. Kensington came too, didn't he?"

Alyssa felt somewhat embarrassed. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked at Gabriel with a pleading expression.

But Gabriel stood there coldly, showing no intention of helping her.

Natalie lowered her head and smirked mockingly. "Ms. Davis, do I need to report to you about whether I can come and who I am with? You worry too much, don't you?"

Alyssa tried to sow discord and target her. Natalie had no reason to back down.
Although Gabriel and Alyssa's scandal had been suppressed, it had spread widely on the internet. No one believed that Gabriel and Natalie's marriage ended amicably.

With so many people at the banquet, Natalie didn't even glance at Gabriel.

Victor cast a cold gaze at Alyssa, showing utter disdain for her. "Ms. Davis, it seems that your presence has made the whole atmosphere of the banquet less elegant. Mr. Kensington needs to improve his taste in selecting companions."
However, Victor did not intend to waste any more time. He pulled Natalie and moved to the other side.
Alyssa felt humiliated by being mocked by someone with such status. She suddenly felt extremely embarrassed and pitiful, pursing her lips.

"Gabriel," Her voice was mournful, and she spoke cautiously.

Gabriel looked at Victor and Natalie's backs and couldn't help but feel displeased and angry. He wasn't in the mood for anything else right now. They had only recently divorced, and Natalie was living carefree and indulgent. She pretended not to see him and instead leaned into Victor's embrace.
Several business partners came over to greet him. Gabriel abandoned Alyssa and went elsewhere to socialize.
In front of the large floor-to-ceiling window, there was a sparkling and beautiful body of water. The corner of the swimming pool was quiet and deserted. Natalie sipped her glass of wine, seemingly appreciating the shimmering moonlight on the water.
How could an abandoned woman from a prominent family appear in such a high-end banquet venue?
Alyssa's face darkened, and she approached step by step.
"Natalie."
