Chapter 44 There's Nothing to Talk to You
Natalie sneered, coldly looking at Angela, squinting her eyes.
"Ms. Kensington, you always like to talk about these disgusting things with others. Do you want me to be despised? But it's not me who will be despised, it's the Kensington family. You treat daughters-in-law like servants. Who would dare to marry into your family in the future?"
"Well, you're not worthy of it! Natalie, you were clearly trying to seduce my brother just now. Don't you deny it?" Angela retorted.
She believed that Natalie deliberately kissed Gabriel to seduce him, so when she heard Natalie asking for an apology, she felt disdainful.
Angela was angry and thought to herself, "Why is Natalie so arrogant? Why won't my brother speak up for me?"
"Ms. Kensington, do you think I was deliberately trying to seduce Mr. Kensington?" Natalie chuckled. She never wasted words and always got straight to the point.
She thought to herself, "Seduce? I don't think I'm that shameless!"
The unexpected and shocking kiss between Natalie and Gabriel during their dance would definitely make people suspicious. Among Natalie and Gabriel, everyone would surely think that Natalie was seducing Gabriel...
She glanced at Gabriel coldly and laughed mockingly.
"Three years ago, I was blind to marry Mr. Kensington. But now, I won't be blind again. Even if I were to seduce every man in the world, I wouldn't seduce Gabriel."
She didn't want to remember those oppressive and suffocating past memories again.
Angela trembled under Natalie's icy gaze. She felt that the current Natalie was very unfamiliar to her and that the Natalie she remembered, weak and unable to resist, must not be the person standing before her now.
Natalie placed her wine glass on the crystal table with a crisp sound. Under everyone's gaze, she turned around and went downstairs. Charlie coldly glared at Gabriel and Angela before quickly following Natalie.
Everyone watched Gabriel, who stood still with a terrible expression. His gaze closely followed Natalie as she left. His emotions were incomprehensible.
Leo, feeling surprised, thought, "Based on Gabriel's attitude, he must be feeling sorry for that woman after learning the truth!"
"Come, Mr. Lewis, I actually wanted to talk to you," Leo said, smiling as he pulled Nathan toward him, trying to divert everyone's attention elsewhere.
After all, not everyone could keep focusing on Gabriel's situation.
Everyone cleverly continued chatting and drinking in the banquet hall.
Nathan smiled and adjusted his gold-framed glasses. "No."
Leo said, "Could you be a bit more tactful?"
Nathan hesitated for a moment, and then said again, "Sorry, I can't."
Leo felt speechless and thought, "Never mind. I'll go find Gabriel."
He turned around and realized that Gabriel, who had been standing next to him, suddenly disappeared.
"Where's Gabriel?" Leo muttered to himself.
Nathan glanced lightly in the direction downstairs, smiled, and left.
Meanwhile, in a secluded area downstairs, where there was nobody around and it was very quiet, Charlie asked Natalie about what had happened before she arrived late.
"Did Gabriel bully you? Why did Angela say you seduced him?"
Natalie rolled her eyes in boredom. "No, that was just an accident."
It could only be an accident. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to explain how the incident happened, because no one would believe that Gabriel did it intentionally.
"If he dares to bully you, I won't let him go," Charlie waved his fist.
Natalie looked around and didn't see Victor. "Where's my brother?"
"He just went to the VIP seats to talk business with the chairman of Landunus Group. Do you want to go find him?" Charlie asked.
Natalie shook her head and said, "No, I won't bother him."
As she turned her head, she happened to see Gabriel walking towards them.
She thought, "What a coincidence! Tonight, I always run into him!"
Natalie raised an eyebrow, pulled Charlie's arm, and prepared to leave as if she hadn't noticed Gabriel.
"Natalie, let's talk," Gabriel said, his expression deep.
"I have nothing to talk to you about," Natalie replied without stopping. She left without looking back, wanting no connection with Gabriel whatsoever.
She believed all Gabriel could do was apologize, but apologies were the cheapest form of guilt.
Natalie didn't need them!
