Chapter 57 How Much Does It Cost
Seeing the person who had arrived, Wendy's eyes immediately turned red, and she walked over excitedly. "Gabriel."
"Gabriel, Natalie has taken the ring. It was Grandfather's favorite item. There will be serious consequences if he doesn't see it," Angela anxiously said.
Gabriel stood at the doorway, tall and handsome, with a deep and cold gaze. He looked at the people inside the room.
"Shut up! How dare you steal Grandfather's belongings?" He scolded Angela sharply, and Angela trembled in fear, leaning against Wendy, unable to lift her head.
The person in charge of the event followed behind Gabriel. He stood there nervously, glancing at the staff members nearby. "Have all the procedures been completed?"
"Yes, everything has been taken care of," the staff member answered cautiously.
Everything had been settled, so Natalie had nothing to fear. After all, the ring was already in her possession, giving her the upper hand.
Natalie looked at Rance beside her. "Let's go. We shouldn't disturb their family reunion."
She didn't even bother to greet Gabriel, wearing high heels and preparing to leave.
"Natalie, you can't take it away," Gabriel said with a cold tone.
Wendy quickly added, "That's right, she can't take it away!"
Gabriel had arrived, so Wendy had nothing to fear anymore and didn't need to act in front of Natalie.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, scoffed, and waved the documents in her hand. "Look, it's not up to you anymore. It's mine now."
She glanced at Gabriel's furious expression and inexplicably felt delighted.
"Mrs. Wendy, if you have the time, you should consider how to explain this to Mr. Blair. His ring has been sent to a charity auction. What will he do when he finds out it no longer belongs to him?"
Wendy's face turned pale. She deeply regretted keeping this a secret from Blair. She felt fear and hatred. She could imagine how angry Blair would be, and she might even be kicked out of the Kensington family.
"Gabriel," Wendy pleaded, looking at Gabriel. This was her last hope.
Gabriel looked coldly at Natalie, without any expression. "Natalie, how much money will it take for you to leave it behind?"
Natalie chuckled to herself, thinking, 'How much money? Do I look like I need money?'
She glanced coldly at Gabriel's stern face and raised the emerald ring in her hand. "Leave it behind? Dream on!"
After saying that, Natalie snorted and walked away, with Rance quickly following after her.
Wendy anxiously grabbed Gabriel's arm. "How could you let her go? She must leave the ring behind..."
"Yes, Gabriel. Otherwise, Blair will kill us!" Angela nervously looked at him.
Gabriel raised his head and glanced at Natalie's figure, furrowing his brow slightly. He then looked dispassionately at the two women in front of him, his voice icy.
"I will find a way to get the ring back, but you should figure out how to explain it to Blair."
He straightened his crisp suit sleeve and turned to leave.
Perhaps Blair already knows by now, so Gabriel had no intention of hiding it from them. Besides, he had to bear the consequences of his own actions.
"What?" Wendy panicked and nearly fainted, with Angela quickly going over to support her. Angela called Gabriel several times, but he had no intention of turning back. Only the nearby staff approached to ask if they needed assistance.
For such a valuable item, the partner politely asked if they needed security for protection, but Natalie declined. She just wanted to make Wendy and Angela unhappy on purpose; she didn't care about the ring itself.
As the elevator slowly opened, Natalie entered, and Rance reminded her from the side, "Mr. Kensington?"
He was walking in that direction.
‘Doesn't he give up?’ Natalie had no intention of riding the elevator with him, so she immediately pressed the close button.
