Chapter 244 Unlucky

Lillian shivered at Charlie's words.

Charlie, usually so cocky and charming, now looked like he could kill someone.

In that moment, all of Lillian's years of persistence and admiration felt like nothing, just dust.

There was a hint of hurt in her expression.

But no one cared.

Natalie saw right through her and gave her a sideways glance.

She snorted. "She doesn't have what it takes."

Hearing that, both Charlie and Victor let out a sigh of relief.

Victor looked at Gabriel with a complicated expression.

If it weren't for the danger, why would Natalie trigger the alarm?

Were those two strong guys Gabriel's people or Lillian's?

"Mr. Kensington, why are you here?"

Gabriel looked at Natalie with a blank expression, not answering, his face dark as night.

Leo quickly stepped forward and explained again, very seriously.

Brad chimed in, agreeing.

Victor looked away, thinking that with Gabriel's magnanimity, he wouldn't lay a hand on a woman.

So it must be Lillian.

He thought for a moment and looked at Natalie.

"Natalie, what are you planning to do?"

Natalie raised an eyebrow.

"Of course, finish what Ms. Garcia wanted to do. Just a few photos. Ms. Garcia, cooperate a bit and suffer less!"

Lillian immediately looked up, her eyes wide with anger.

In front of Charlie, Natalie dared to treat her like this?

She was a big deal in Starhaven, a business elite held up as a model, and she was being humiliated like this?

"Natalie, how dare you!"

"Why wouldn't I dare?"

Natalie asked casually.

"The Garcia family won't let you off, the entire Starhaven business community will be against you!"

Natalie sneered, but before she could speak, Victor couldn't help but snort.

"Using the Garcia family to scare Natalie, how low! The ruler of Starhaven's business world should change."

Lillian instantly got what Victor meant.

Her face turned deathly pale.

She had worked hard for ten years to establish herself in Starhaven, and Victor could destroy all her efforts in an instant.

Charlie, looking nonchalant and a bit impatient, said, "If you can act, don't waste words. Do as Natalie said, getting the photos is the priority."

It was like Lillian's shame meant nothing to him.

"I'm leaving now," Natalie muttered with a light snort, walking away in her high heels, her figure graceful and confident.

Everything else would be handled by Victor's people; she had nothing to worry about.

Charlie, of course, followed closely behind.

Lillian's face was pale and grim, her eyes filled with despair.

She had lost completely.

She raised her head in anger, her voice hurt and cold, shouting at the retreating figure.

"Charlie, who do you think I did all this for? It was all for you! I've liked you for ten whole years! How can you not even look at me? Natalie will only see you as a backup love interest. Do you think she will like you? She loves no one but herself, she's been playing with your feelings, how could she ever be with you?"

Lillian didn't care about anything anymore; her world was about to collapse.

She screamed, ignoring the strange looks from others, shouting out the secret she had hidden for ten years.

In the business world, Lillian was powerful and unyielding, but in matters of love, she was always humble and unfulfilled.

She looked at Charlie's back with full expectation.

She hoped that after hearing her words, he would soften and turn to look at her and take her away from the humiliation.

But the silence in the air was suffocating.

After a few seconds, Charlie stiffly turned around, his gaze undisguisedly filled with disdain.

"I'm really unlucky to be liked by you."
