Chapter 411 Harassed
Gabriel wheeled himself straight into the bathroom.
His injured leg couldn't handle tight clothes, so getting undressed wasn't too hard. He decided to put on a pair of long pajama pants.
He couldn't do much right now and didn't want to push it too far.
What if Natalie got scared and bolted?
He left his upper body bare, admiring his reflection. His lean, muscular frame, with a straight back and abs subtly moving with his breath, added a touch of allure to his usual cold demeanor.
Jagger's enthusiastic words echoed in his ears. "Mr. Kensington, your physique and looks are one of a kind. No woman can ignore that. When you're in the shower, you don't need to say anything. Just let Ms. Clark admire you. If she gets a little shy, it means you've succeeded!"
Gabriel decided to trust him, at least for now.
A few minutes later, he heard the sound of the door opening.
Gabriel opened his eyes, looking at himself in the mirror. He casually tousled his hair, trying to appear nonchalant.
Footsteps stopped outside the bathroom door.
There was a knock.
For some reason, Gabriel felt a surge of nervousness.
"Natalie, I'm in here. You can come in," he called out.
He took a deep breath, trying to appear as calm as possible. He closed his eyes, telling himself not to be nervous.
"Close your eyes and let Ms. Clark admire you." Jagger's words replayed in his mind.
Soon, he heard the gentle sound of water running.
Natalie had turned on the hot water, adjusting the temperature carefully to avoid splashing his leg. She even covered him with a blanket for modesty.
Gabriel kept his eyes closed, but his breathing became more rapid.
A warm towel was placed on his body, and she began to wash him.
Gabriel's entire body tensed up involuntarily.
The towel moved gently over his back and arms, her touch light and careful.
His face was tight with tension, and the only sound in the bathroom was the running water.
Both of them were holding their breath, the silence around them deep and heavy.
But something about this silence felt off.
Gabriel couldn't help but wonder why she wasn't saying anything.
Why wasn't she reacting at all?
Jagger had said, "During the shower, Ms. Clark will try to make conversation. Her thoughts will be all over the place. You just need to respond a little, no need to dig deep."
But she wasn't having any conversation.
If she were shy, wouldn't she try to talk to ease the awkwardness?
If she were angry, her actions wouldn't be so gentle and meticulous!
Gabriel furrowed his brow, debating whether to speak first.
Suddenly, the warm towel left his body, and he felt a bit uncomfortable without the heat.
The person behind him held up two bottles of brand-new body wash, their voice rough and conflicted. "Mr. Kensington, do you want the mint scent or the strawberry scent?"
Gabriel's entire body went rigid, his eyes snapping open, a cold light flashing in them.
In an instant, he saw Elijah's fierce face in the mirror. Elijah had rolled up his sleeves and was holding two bottles of body wash, looking conflicted.
Which scent did he want?
Gabriel wanted to get up and run, but his right leg wouldn't allow it!
He stared at Elijah in the mirror, his eyes growing darker, his expression extremely cold and restrained.
"What are you doing here?" he asked through gritted teeth.
All this time, his nervousness, restraint, and the whirlwind of emotions inside him had been because of Elijah, his bodyguard?
Where was Natalie?
