Chapter 427 Pulled the Wrong Person
When the attending physician started the examination, Gabriel reluctantly let go of Natalie's hand.
Less than a minute later, Gabriel, not hearing any movement from Natalie, urged her:
"Natalie, give me your hand."
His voice was weak and pitiful.
The doctors thought: Mr. Kensington and Ms. Clark have a strong bond...
Mr. Kensington doesn't seem like the clingy type, it's quite surprising!
Soon, a hand reached out, and Gabriel caught sight of it from the corner of his eye. He immediately grasped her wrist, feeling a wave of relief and joy.
He didn't dare to touch her too much, afraid of making Natalie angry.
Just getting her to compromise a little made all the grievances of the night disappear quietly.
The examination lasted ten minutes, and Gabriel's heart raced for ten minutes.
Just as it ended, they suddenly heard Jagger's voice from outside.
"Ms. Clark, are you just going to have some pudding? Let me get you some."
The voice was getting closer.
"No, I'm fine."
The voice was calm but carried a hint of softness and relaxation.
In an instant, the atmosphere in the room froze.
The voice was outside the door, so the hand was inside the room.
The doctors instinctively looked at Gabriel lying on the bed.
His tightly closed eyes suddenly opened, and his dark eyes were filled with intense coldness.
The hand by his side moved slightly, and Gabriel's body tensed up.
His hand felt like it had touched something scorching hot, and he quickly pulled it away, his tone icy cold.
"Who?"
The word carried a bone-chilling coldness.
The curtain was pulled back.
Elijah's face was flushed red, looking fierce and uncomfortable, as if he was holding back great grievances. A grown man, now forced to suppress his emotions and remain silent.
He quickly withdrew his hand, gritting his teeth.
"Mr. Kensington, you were the one who grabbed my hand first."
For Natalie, he endured it!
Being her bodyguard was truly tough!
After speaking, he turned and walked out under everyone's shocked gaze, his broad and muscular back looking particularly strong.
At that moment, Natalie walked in with a smile.
"Finished with the examination?"
Gabriel glared at her fiercely, his face pale with anger!
The people around noticed the sudden coldness enveloping Gabriel and quickly left, not daring to stay a moment longer.
Natalie walked over and sat down, noticing his pale face. She frowned and reached out to touch his forehead.
"You're not feverish. Is there anywhere else you feel uncomfortable?"
Gabriel gritted his teeth as he looked at her, his eyes bloodshot with rage.
Last time it was during a bath, this time it was holding hands.
And both times, Elijah got the better of him?
It was infuriating!
But he couldn't express his anger because he was in the wrong.
"My heart feels uncomfortable!"
He practically spat out the words through clenched teeth.
Natalie paused, then lowered her hand, her eyes filled with a casual smile.
"Mr. Kensington, you didn't hold onto Elijah's hand, did you?"
With that one sentence, Gabriel's face turned from green to white.
Natalie continued, "It's okay, I won't tell anyone."
She reached for his black pajamas and draped them over him. "My dad's birthday is coming up, and I'll be staying with him for a while. You don't mind, do you?"
Gabriel looked at her silently, suppressing various emotions, his tongue pressing against his cheek.
"No."
Natalie nodded in satisfaction and turned to call Jagger in to help tidy up.
Because she knew, at this moment, Gabriel didn't want to see Elijah.
Jagger happily ran in, feeling honored to serve Mr. Kensington.
"Mr. Kensington, you have an amazing physique."
Gabriel's face remained expressionless as he looked at him, a warning in his eyes.
Seeing Gabriel's Displeasure, Jagger changed the topic, "Mr. Kensington, wasn't the candlelight dinner romantic? Ms. Clark must have been moved to tears, right?"
Gabriel tightly closed his eyes.
Endure it, just endure it a little longer.
