Chapter 369 She is My Girlfriend
Gabriel curled his lips, "Because the invitation has already been delivered to me."
Natalie's heart skipped a beat.
Clark Group and Kensington Group had similar stakes in this project, and they were evenly matched.
There was no reason to give it to Kensington Group and not to Clark Group. Had Robert already made his decision?
Seeing her face turn pale, Mike immediately tugged at her sleeve.
"Natalie, if you want to go, I can invite you."
After all, it was Robert who was hosting the event, so Mike could invite his friends to attend.
Gabriel looked at Mike, who had a smug expression on his face.
Natalie didn't take it to heart, thinking Mike was just trying to comfort her.
She pulled the corners of her mouth into a smile and looked at Gabriel with a cold gaze.
"So, are you here to show off?"
Gabriel slightly furrowed his brows, "I need a date. You can come with me."
Natalie put down the cup in her hand. "No need, I'll think of another way."
Although being his date would be the easiest option, it would put her in a passive position.
That wasn't what she wanted.
Natalie stood up, and Mike eagerly grabbed her hand. "Natalie, I want to go to your house to play."
She patted his head, "Alright."
Gabriel stood up, watching Mike bounce around as he held Natalie's hand and left.
His hand clenched into a fist, a few strands of hair covering his cold and stern eyes. The warmth faded, replaced by struggle.
At that moment, he wanted to give up the opportunity.
As soon as they walked out, a voice came through the tiny earpiece in Mike's ear.
"Mr. Williams, it's time to invite her to dinner. You can't let a girl go hungry."
Mike nodded, smiling as he held Natalie's hand.
"Natalie, before we go home, let's go eat first?"
"Should I have the maid cook for you when we get back?"
Mike's eyes darted around. "No, I want ice cream."
Natalie couldn't help but laugh.
"Alright."
Her previously gloomy mood lifted. She decided to fill Mike's stomach first.
Natalie took him to a nearby fast-food restaurant.
The staff came over to take their order and couldn't help but glance at Mike a few more times.
"Hello, is this your little brother? He's so cute!"
Mike's expression darkened, and he corrected her in a serious, yet childish voice, trying to sound mature.
"I'm her friend, her boyfriend!"
Natalie chuckled, "Get him a kid's meal and two ice creams."
Mike huffed, his eyes filled with grievance.
"I don't want a kid's meal. I'm not a child!"
Natalie couldn't help but laugh. "Then what do you want to eat, boyfriend?"
Mike's face instantly turned red, and he fidgeted with his clothes, feeling both excited and elated.
Did Natalie agree to be his girlfriend?
"Ladies first, you decide."
Listening to Natalie was the way to grow up quickly.
Natalie winked at the staff, indicating to proceed as usual.
The staff instantly understood. This quirky kid was getting cuter by the minute.
Natalie only ate the ice cream, while Mike devoured everything else. He was growing and had quite an appetite.
They finished eating quickly, and Natalie waved to get the staff to bring the bill.
Mike immediately stopped her, his voice cute yet assertive.
"When you're out with your boyfriend, how can I let you pay?"
Natalie looked at him in surprise. He rolled up his sleeve, revealing his children's watch with the ROLEX brand logo.
She was slightly taken aback. The value of this brand's children's watch was comparable to one of her handbags.
He aimed his watch at the QR code, and the staff's machine automatically announced, "Payment successful."
Mike nonchalantly rolled down his sleeve.
It seemed that Mike's dad, who had appeared at her doorstep yesterday, was indeed someone significant.
Natalie suddenly asked, "Who is your dad?"
