Chapter 298 Complimentary with Ticket Purchase
Gabriel strolled up to the counter, his good looks instantly grabbing everyone's attention. The server blushed as she suggested some romance and comedy flicks.
Without much thought, he picked the one starting soonest.
He glanced at the young couple next to him, cuddling with a big bucket of popcorn and a soda, and frowned a bit.
Natalie was there, looking bored, resting her chin on her hand and fiddling with her phone.
Seeing Kelly and Mia chatting about a skiing trip in their group chat, she wanted in on the fun too.
But if they knew she was actually out watching a movie with Gabriel, they'd probably lose their minds!
A college-looking guy nearby blushed and walked over. "Hey, are you from Apex University?"
Natalie was caught off guard and suddenly remembered Apex University was close by.
The guy's question gave Natalie a sweet thrill, like she was being hit on.
Just as she was about to answer, the guy handed over his phone.
"Can I add you on Facebook? We're casting for a stage play and need a female lead."
Natalie squinted and smiled at him, her eyes twinkling like stars.
The guy was momentarily stunned, not noticing the imposing figure approaching from behind her.
Gabriel placed a hand on the back of her chair and glared at the guy.
His tone was familiar yet icy, carrying an intimidating chill. "What are you talking about?"
Every move Gabriel made screamed nobility and authority. Even his Patek Philippe watch was enough to be the pinnacle of someone else's lifetime of effort.
Without saying a word, it was clear this guy was no ordinary person.
The guy's eyes darkened, and he pulled back his phone, looking defeated.
Mumbling an apology, he hurriedly left, practically running away.
Natalie watched him go with regret, her smile fading.
Gabriel focused on her expression, watching as the light in her eyes dimmed bit by bit, feeling a little cold inside.
She turned her head indifferently, and when she looked at Gabriel, she was startled.
He was holding an extra-large popcorn and soda, which clashed with his ridiculously expensive limited-edition wool coat.
Seeing her expression, Gabriel awkwardly pursed his lips. "They came with the ticket."
Natalie immediately believed him; Gabriel didn't seem like the type to buy such childish things.
When they entered the theater, she saw the tickets; it was for a horror movie.
Natalie walked in expressionlessly. The entire theater only had them and the young couple in front.
When Gabriel planned to sit next to her, Natalie placed the popcorn on the chair between them.
He frowned at her, his eyes filled with displeasure.
Natalie glanced at him coldly and spoke with a frosty tone, "Ordinary friends should have boundaries, right, Mr. Kensington?"
Gabriel recalled what Brad had told him before they left the art gallery restaurant. 'Chasing a girl requires immense patience. Never leave in anger, especially with Ms. Clark!'
He pondered for less than half a second before sitting in the chair one seat away from her.
Being able to sit down and watch a movie was something he hadn't even dared to dream of before, so he should be satisfied with this progress.
The young couple in front occasionally kissed and hugged.
Especially when a scary scene appeared, the girl would practically burrow into the guy's arms, her voice exaggeratedly dramatic as she exclaimed, "I'm so scared. This is terrifying!"
