Chapter 220 Let Go If You Lie
Natalie rolled her eyes.
If she hadn't known Angela's plan ahead of time, she would've thought she was losing her mind.
Angela kept up her polite smile, playing the part of a perfect lady. "I need to talk to you. Can we go somewhere private?"
Natalie raised an eyebrow, swirling her grape juice, looking confused. "Is there anything for us to talk about?"
Angela hesitated, looking down. "I've been thinking a lot lately. What I did to you was pretty harsh. I want to apologize."
Natalie said coldly, "Then apologize now. Wouldn't it be more sincere to apologize in front of everyone?"
Angela's smile faltered.
She forced it back. "That's not really appropriate. I have some things to say to you in private."
Natalie hesitated, staring at the chandelier's reflection in her glass.
The light in the glass was prettier than the real thing.
Seeing her hesitation, Angela quickly added, "It's about you and Gabriel. You don't want others to hear, right?"
Natalie lifted her eyelids, a slight smirk forming. "Alright."
With that, she stood up and was about to leave.
Kelly grabbed her arm, frowning, trying to stop her.
Natalie smiled reassuringly and patted her wrist, signaling she had it under control.
A hint of triumph flashed in Angela's eyes.
On the second-floor balcony, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves.
The dark Milky Way hung above, reflecting the vast galaxy.
Angela, with her innocent look, thought mentioning Gabriel would make everything fair game.
Natalie stood there, slightly curling her lips.
Indeed, she was childish.
Angela stood a bit behind her, her voice gentle and harmless.
"Actually, when you think about it, you and Gabriel are quite a match. Even my grandfather has started to acknowledge you. Do you really have no feelings for him?"
Natalie glanced sideways, a hint of coldness in her eyes.
She smiled indifferently and distantly. "Did you misunderstand something? How could Gabriel and I be a match?"
Angela paused, then quickly spoke, "You're already the CEO of the Clark Group and the sole heir of the Clark Family. With your current status, how could you not be a match?"
Natalie snorted, not even trying to hide the disdain in her eyes. "You got it all wrong. What I meant was, does your family even deserve to be compared to the Clarks?"
Angela's face stiffened, a flash of malice in her eyes.
She stood behind Natalie, gritting her teeth and glaring.
If this were before, she would've snapped back without a second thought.
But now, Blair and Gabriel had warned her multiple times not to mess with Natalie.
Still, if it weren't for Natalie, she wouldn't be so humiliated in their social circle.
Seeing her so smug, how could Angela swallow this anger?
She had already checked the railing beforehand. The nails were loose, and she had deliberately removed them.
The railing had no support.
A slight push would make it fall completely.
And with the surrounding greenery and dim light, no one would notice.
She bit her lower lip, looking at Natalie, and suddenly shouted, "What's on your back?"
Saying this, she lunged forward without hesitation!
She wanted to push Natalie off the second floor. If she didn't die, she'd at least be crippled.
That would make her suffer!
Being crippled would be even better.
Could a crippled Natalie still shine so brightly?
She'd be utterly humiliated!
As long as she could make Natalie lose face, even if she got scolded later, it would be worth it!
She used all her strength.
But just as her hand touched Natalie's back, Natalie suddenly sidestepped.
With no support in front of her, Angela lunged forward due to inertia.
The railing fell without any resistance, and it was too late for her to regret it.
Her body was already suspended in mid-air.
The cold wind whipped her face, causing some pain!
Fear and shock overwhelmed her rationality in an instant.
She screamed, and just as she was about to fall from the second floor, someone suddenly grabbed her clothes.
She almost forgot how quick Natalie's movements always were.
Not falling or becoming crippled, she breathed a sigh of relief.
But this situation was terrifying enough.
Looking back, she saw Natalie looking at her with a faint smile. "Ms. Kensington, were you just trying to push me?"
Angela was about to deny it when Natalie raised an eyebrow meaningfully.
She added, "If you lie, I'll let go."
