Chapter 444 Cannot Waste

Natalie opened her mouth, ready to throw out a sarcastic remark, but the fireworks softened her tone a bit.

"You're overthinking it. Just go to bed early."

Before she could close the door, Gabriel tilted his head and suddenly spoke up.

"I'm hungry. I want some soup."

Jagger immediately chimed in, "We're out. Ms. Clark has it all. Ms. Clark, wouldn't it be boring to eat alone?"

How about inviting Mr. Kensington to join you for dinner?

What a romantic dinner for two!

Natalie squinted her eyes, staying silent for a few seconds.

Gabriel added, "I don't eat much."

He just wanted to join her for a meal.

Natalie raised an eyebrow and let out a light laugh.

She turned around, picked up the tray with the soup, and handed it over.

"Perfect timing. I'm not eating. Please, go ahead."

She regretted holding back her sarcasm earlier.

Gabriel, this shameless guy, she could just kill him.

Gabriel frowned, "That's not what I meant."

"But that's what I mean," she said.

"Aren't you hungry?" Gabriel looked at her.

She hadn't eaten much.

Natalie replied, "To make sure you're full, I'll just starve to death!"

Gabriel was taken aback.

He thought he could use her moment of softness to ease their relationship.

He forgot that Natalie was always tough as nails.

Gabriel hesitated to take the tray, so Natalie handed it directly to Jagger.

"Jagger, be careful not to let Mr. Kensington overeat!"

She laughed twice, then walked inside and shut the door.

Gabriel gritted his teeth, laughing in frustration.

She really wouldn't give an inch.

His chest felt tight with frustration.

Jagger stood there holding the soup, looking troubled.

He had made it especially for Natalie.

Only a refined lady could appreciate its quality.

What did Mr. Kensington know?

Jagger awkwardly looked up, "Mr. Kensington, you should drink it. It won't taste good cold. It's good for your skin and delicious. And it won't make you gain weight."

Gabriel shot him a cold look, and Jagger quickly shut his mouth.

Fine, he thought, better not waste the soup. He'd drink it himself.

Natalie returned to her room and looked at a photo Ulysses had taken of her.

She and Gabriel were on a bridge, one standing, one sitting, with a backdrop of dazzling fireworks.

She was looking at the flowing river, and he was looking at her.

The moment was frozen in time, as if it could last forever.

She seemed to understand why Ulysses took that photo.

Even Ulysses had softened, but she hadn't.

She quietly deleted the photo and then checked her classmates' group chat.

The group was buzzing with excitement, knowing she was in Fairland.

One person couldn't help but bring up today's hot topic.

"Natalie, did you see the fireworks at Serenity River today? They were amazing! All the major media outlets are fighting for the headlines."

"Yeah, remember your first birthday here? Your wish was to see fireworks by Serenity River. It's still written in the school's yearbook."

Natalie read the messages, her mind suddenly going blank as she realized something.

She had forgotten that her first wish when she came to Fairland alone was to see fireworks by Serenity River.

At the time, she didn't want anything, so she just casually mentioned an impossible wish.

And today, it came true.

Natalie bit her lip, her heart feeling like it was being wrapped in fine threads, tightening and making it hard to breathe.

Gabriel, could he have done this because of that?

She put away her phone and turned her face away.

Outside the beautiful castle, warm lights twinkled, surrounded by lush greenery, looking like a dream.

A light rain began to fall, tapping against the window like slanted lines drawn by an artist.

She smiled.

It must be a coincidence.

How could Gabriel know her wish?

Her phone buzzed with a message from Gabriel.

"To the smart and beautiful Ms. Clark, may all your wishes come true. I'm your forever fan."

Natalie couldn't help but roll her eyes, laughing in exasperation.

She replied, "I'm so unlucky!"
