Chapter 380 Insisting on Marrying You

Mike pouted and acted cute, his crystal-clear eyes sparkling with hopeful laughter, making him so adorable that it melted everyone's hearts.

"Mike, Natalie has something to do. You should go upstairs and do your homework!"

Robert glanced at the time and spoke in a cool voice.

Mike's expression instantly turned forlorn, glaring pitifully at Robert.

No matter where he went, he couldn't escape the fate of doing homework.

Natalie thought of the little boy in the photo and realized how much he had grown. She felt even closer to him.

She patted his curly hair and looked at him gently.

"How about I play with you tomorrow?"

Mike blinked, his clear eyes filled with disappointment.

Just when Natalie thought he was going to let go sensibly, Mike suddenly grabbed her clothes and hugged her tightly.

His eyes were filled with determined mischief.

"No, no, I want to sleep with Natalie. I don't want to do homework. I want to go home with Natalie!"

His voice was as clear as a stream of beans, innocently wanting to go home with Natalie.

Anyway, he wanted to be with Natalie, and no one could stop him.

Robert squinted his eyes, very familiar with this routine.

He immediately waved his hand, and a burly bodyguard came over.

While Mike was wiggling his butt and acting cute, the bodyguard picked him up with one hand, slung him over his shoulder, and turned to leave.

"Help! I don't want to leave Natalie. I want to be with her forever!"

Mike shouted in distress.

Soon, his voice disappeared on the stairs.

"Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington, take care on your way."

Robert smiled nonchalantly.

Natalie withdrew her surprised gaze and sighed in relief.

"Goodbye."

They walked to the door, and Gabriel's driver pulled up.

Gabriel walked over first, opened the right rear door, and looked at her.

"I'll take you home."

Natalie turned her head, realizing she had come with Mike and didn't drive.

It was hard to get a cab at this time, and calling a driver would be a hassle.

After a moment of hesitation, Gabriel smiled.

"Are you afraid I'll hurt you?"

His voice was unusually gentle and deep, or so it seemed.

Natalie paused and looked into his eyes. His already deep eyes were filled with a smile, as if there were many things to say but he did not know where to start.

Natalie thought for a moment and got into the car.

The car started slowly, and inexplicably, she felt the journey was very slow.

Especially with Gabriel sitting next to her, she felt completely uneasy.

Suddenly, he spoke.

"Is it that time that you remember me?"

Natalie pressed her lips together, thinking for a long time.

"Yes."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

Just like the underground fight club incident, she had never mentioned it.

Natalie tugged at the corner of her mouth. "You saved me once, and I saved you once. We're even."

"Even?"

His voice was heavy, as if a complex mix of emotions was being forcefully suppressed by the silent atmosphere.

Natalie retorted, "Aren't we?"

Besides these two times, she almost drowned in the swimming pool because of him.

In the end, he owed her the most.

She was already being very generous by calling it even.

"Of course not. If I had known I would meet you there that day, I wouldn't have left so quickly."

He would have taken a good look at Natalie and remembered her deeply.

Gabriel's eyes were filled with immense regret and sadness.

He looked deeply at her, "Natalie, I would have fallen in love with you first."

Natalie was slightly stunned, her heart trembling.

His gaze was too intense, and she instinctively frowned, her tone turning slightly cold.

"If I had to do it again, I would never choose to marry you."

They were all painful lessons.
