Chapter 320 The Destination

Natalie looked around, secretly alarmed. The mountain road was right next to the sea, yet it wasn't marked on her map at all.

It felt like two completely different worlds.

The crashing waves pounded the shore as Natalie reached out to board the boat. She still had some lingering fear of the ocean.

Previously, on the island, she watched the sea every day, as if there was never any hope in sight. Those days were gloomy and depressing, and she didn't want to remember them.

She had almost died there, too.

Natalie looked at the map, her expression confused and puzzled. The sea map was like a fog to her.

Rex chuckled beside her, his demeanor carefree and slightly mischievous.

"Ms. Clark, there's no need to look. An amateur can't understand it."

Natalie put the map away and looked up at him. "Then do you know the direction?"

Rex raised an eyebrow. "Of course, but it's definitely not here. Hold on tight."

As soon as he finished speaking, the speedboat shot forward, and Natalie was almost thrown off. She clung tightly to the railing beside her, nearly getting a mouthful of seawater, which almost choked her!

Natalie coughed violently a couple of times. Rex slowed down, looked back at her, and patted her head. "You didn't sit tight."

She looked at him strangely. His eyes were pure, and he even seemed a bit surprised and concerned for her.

It was clear he didn't do it on purpose.

Viewers watching the live stream were actively commenting:

[Rex's best qualities are all on his face, right?]

[Oh no, Ms. Clark has met Rex. Good luck!]

[Rex is a famous adventurer both domestically and internationally. Has he ever participated in such a gentle variety show?]

Natalie swallowed the words she was about to curse.

Seeing this, Rex sensibly slowed down, but within ten minutes, the speedboat was already out of sight of the shore.

"Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington said you're very impressive."

Rex smiled at her, a bit puzzled. She didn't look that strong.

Natalie gave a perfunctory smile. "Mr. Ingram, he also said you're very impressive."

Rex's smile deepened. "Why do you like adventure?"

"I don't really like it. I was dragged here to make up the numbers."

Rex raised an eyebrow and muttered softly, "He said you insisted on coming."

Natalie twitched her mouth. "You've known Felix for a long time, haven't you?"

Rex's gaze drifted into the distance. The vast sea, rolling waves, and the cold wind mixed with heat hit their faces.

"Yeah, a long time. Since my girlfriend, Donna Martin, passed away, we've been participating in various adventure activities together, giving our lives to the world."

Natalie was stunned, a bit stiff.

Did she accidentally learn a secret?

She blinked and quickly changed the subject.

"Where exactly is our destination? Is it in the sea?"

If that was the case, the team on the mountain road would never reach it.

Rex reached out and pointed to the sky.

"Up there."

Natalie looked up. The sky was a clear blue, with only a few scattered clouds. Looking towards the shore, she could see a few faint mountain peaks.

Natalie looked at him in confusion. Rex pursed his lips, looking quite melancholic. "Some small sailboats around here are marked. If you can get an aerial view, you can know the name of the destination."

She pursed her lips.

An aerial view?

But they were in the sea.

Rex noticed her confusion and pointed to the sea. "The solar altitude angle at this position and our geographical markers perfectly match the hints given on the map. The tools we need are in the sea."

Natalie suddenly felt a sense of suffocation.

To go up, they first had to go down?
