Chapter 27 Streaking
A game without a wager is not interesting at all!
Gabriel's eyes deepened as he stared at her indifferent profile. "What do you think?"
Natalie hadn't said a word, but Leo sneered and spoke first: "If Gabriel loses, I'll strip naked and walk out of here. But Natalie, if you lose..."
He swept his gaze over Charlie and Henry, his tone disdainful. "You'll have to publicly admit that you married into the Kensington family for money, and you won't be allowed to show up in Rottloe again. Can you dare, Natalie?"
Charlie and Henry were momentarily stunned, and even Kelly was furious and wanted to stand up and argue with him. But Mia held Kelly back, urging her not to be impulsive.
Gabriel frowned abruptly, about to interrupt Leo's words, but Natalie snorted coldly and raised an eyebrow dismissively. "Fine, I agree."
Her expression showed contempt, as if she didn't have any regard for her opponent in front of her.
Leo smiled, mocking her arrogance, unaware of who her opponent truly was.
After all, Gabriel had won his first pot of gold at the casino. In all of Rottloe, no one could match him even if he played dice with his eyes closed, let alone these unknown players in front of him. He could finally get revenge!
Gabriel extended his hand. "Ladies first."
Natalie didn't hesitate, she picked up the dice and shook them on the table. Carelessly, she pressed her hand on top of them and calmly looked at Gabriel. "Your turn."
Gabriel looked at Natalie with a meaningful gaze, his brows furrowed. It was obvious that Natalie didn't care about this gambling match. Did she really not care about winning or losing?
Leo eagerly watched this gambling match, as if he already had the victory in his hands. Her recent actions were not professional at all.
Did she think she could win with just a few tricks? No way!
Gabriel paused for a moment, casually opened the lid in his hand. As expected, he won. He glanced at Natalie, her expression unchanged.
Leo excitedly almost jumped up. "Gabriel, you performed at your normal level, I was worried you might go easy on her."
Charlie applauded on the side. It was within his expectations. He smiled nonchalantly. "Mr. Dixon. Mr. Kensington has never gone easy on Natalie, but we've now witnessed Mr. Kensington's skills. It's all been worthwhile."
"Don't say these sweet words, are you trying to cheat? Natalie, let's see your skills."
"Leo, can't you speak properly?" Kelly couldn't help but shout.
Natalie looked at the intense atmosphere. She chuckled lightly, tapped the lid with her slender fingers a few times, and casually knocked it over. Before everyone could react, she stood up with her bag and said, "I'll say goodbye and go home. You guys can continue playing."
Everyone in the room, except for Kelly and Henry, looked slightly surprised. Charlie and Mia remained calm, as if they had known the outcome beforehand.
But when Leo saw Natalie's dice, he couldn't believe his eyes. There were two sixes! When he looked up, Natalie was already gone.
Kelly slammed the table with satisfaction and said, "Leo, don't forget to take off your clothes like you promised before leaving. Don't be a sore loser..."
"You...you're cheating!" Leo's face turned red with anger.
"Cheating? Mr. Dixon, you wanted to play with Natalie. These are the rules of the game. If you lose, you call others cheaters. If you don't want to accept defeat, then don't play, Mr. Kensington, do you agree?" Kelly coldly asked Gabriel, grinding her teeth.
Leo looked at Gabriel, pleading with his innocent eyes as if saying, "Help me."
Gabriel glanced at Kelly, then at Charlie and Henry, before settling his gaze on Leo. "We indeed lost," he said calmly. Although he had sensed something off about the sounds made by his dice and Natalie's dice from the beginning, he didn't feel any regret for losing. Instead he felt a bit relieved.
