Chapter 441 You Want to Compete with Me

Natalie was the brightest star, just like the first time Gabriel saw her at the "Sound" Bar. On stage, she was fiery, radiant, passionate, and resilient, as if all the beauty in the world had gathered on her.

He would remember that moment for the rest of his life.

Natalie stared at the shimmering water, silent. Gabriel, this lunatic, couldn't help but stir things up, could he?

"Suddenly, I want to give you all the good things in this world."

Was he ever going to stop?

Natalie abruptly turned around, frowning. Just as she was about to speak, she saw the night sky behind him suddenly light up with fireworks.

Clusters of vibrant colors exploded like stars, spectacularly filling the sky, then slowly falling like a meteor shower into the Serenity River.

She watched in awe as the sky above the Serenity River turned into a canopy of flowers, decorating the night.

With the fireworks as his backdrop, Gabriel sat alone in his wheelchair, yet there was no sign of weakness in his demeanor.

He didn't look back, his gaze on Natalie growing softer, almost greedy.

"Do you like it?"

Natalie's heart trembled. "Was it you?"

Fireworks weren't allowed at Serenity River. How did he manage this?

Gabriel smiled, but before he could speak, a tall, stern figure approached.

Robert smiled. "Today is the Fairland King's birthday. The locals are celebrating. We're lucky; these fireworks are 3D projections, incredibly realistic, right?"

Natalie turned back, delighted.

"What a coincidence!"

Robert nodded. "Yes, many celebrations are happening. Mr. Clark and Mike have already gone over. Do you want to check it out?"

"Absolutely!"

Natalie was eager to see it. She had thought Gabriel arranged all this, but it turned out he didn't. That was a relief.

She knew he wouldn't plan something so cheesy yet adorable.

Giving money and jewelry was more his style.

Natalie started to push Gabriel's wheelchair, but Robert stepped forward and took over.

His voice was gentle and pleasant. "You go ahead. Mr. Clark is looking for you. I'll handle this."

Natalie didn't think twice and happily ran off.

Elijah, who had been following them, also ran off, leaving Jagger standing alone, contemplating whether he should join them.

Robert pushed the wheelchair, and the two fell into silence.

The noisy fireworks seemed out of place with the two of them.

Both were at the top of their game, honed by the business world.

They didn't talk much but understood each other well.

Gabriel was enveloped in a layer of oppressive coldness.

He flicked a fallen leaf off his leg, his gaze sharpening. "Mr. Williams, your intentions go beyond mere collaboration, don't they?"

His deep voice carried a chilling coldness.

A stark contrast to his demeanor with Natalie, a side she would never see.

Robert, with one hand in his pocket, stood tall and imposing, his presence matching Gabriel's.

He met Gabriel's scrutinizing gaze, a slight smile on his lips.

"Is Mr. Kensington upset that Mike came along, or that I came with Mike?"

He didn't answer directly, but still addressed the question.

He was prepared.

No need to deny it.

Gabriel's eyes narrowed, dangerous and sharp, like a hawk's cold, dark stare.

"Are you trying to compete with me?"
