Chapter 49 Just Throw It Away
The alarm clock rang, and it was morning.
Last night, Natalie insisted on returning to her own apartment. She woke up and didn't have to see so many housekeepers, which made her feel much more at ease.
She opened her phone and saw that the photos from last night's party had made her and Gabriel suddenly popular. "Are the wealthy couple getting back together?" The photo showed the kiss they shared at the end of their dance, cleverly captured and edited with artistic lighting.
Natalie sneered and didn't bother to pay attention. She closed the page and opened her email.
Aaron had sent her today's important schedule early in the morning. Natalie finished her clean and neat grooming and started listening to the financial news on TV.
The unhappiness from last night seemed to have been forgotten, and she wouldn't let Gabriel's name affect her anymore.
Kelly called, and Natalie had just seen the pictures, and was just thinking of confirming the truth of the matter.
Natalie answered and reluctantly explained. Kelly let out a sigh of relief, and then started to complain, "Hey, have you seen that the trending topic online has been taken down?"
Natalie looked and it was true!
She wouldn't waste her money on this. Who did it?
Kelly chuckled on the other end of the phone, "Check the group chat, Charlie paid to take down the trending topic!"
Natalie opened the group chat, and it was particularly lively.
Charlie: [A million dollars for PR fees. They really dare!]
Kelly: [Didn't Charlie attend too? Why is there no footage of him?]
Mia: [If there was footage of him, who would pay to take down the trending topic?]
Kelly: [Hahaha.]
Charlie: [My dear friend!]
Natalie helplessly replied: [Next time, just transfer the money directly to me, I'll clarify it personally.]
She hung up the phone and felt a lot happier.
Around seven o'clock, Aaron came to pick her up by car and brought breakfast. "Bought it on the way, I don't know if it suits your taste."
She wasn't that picky and accepted it, saying "Thank you, let's go."
"The 8 o'clock meeting has been notified. Mr. Clark said that he will hand over the collaboration with Zorblax Group to you and won't interfere."
Victor was giving her more authority to gain experience. Natalie understood and nodded. "Have you contacted Zorblax Group? We need to advance our inspection time."
"I heard that the Kensington Group people are arranging a meeting about a week later, so I scheduled it for tomorrow morning."
"Well done."
Natalie lowered her head to look at the materials. She didn't want to meet with the people from Kensington Group. Gabriel might not personally participate in this project, but she didn't want to take any risks.
On the way, there were questions and answers, and Victor was really willing to give Natalie such a capable person like Aaron, which made her feel relieved.
As soon as they arrived at the company, the receptionist came over with a bouquet of flowers and smiled at her. "Ms. Clark, someone sent you flowers."
Natalie frowned slightly and glanced at the small card on top: [Dear Natalie, forever love you, Charlie!!]
She rolled her eyes in her heart and said, "Just throw them away for me, thank you."
Just as she took two steps, she stopped and turned back. "In the future, if anyone sends flowers, directly refuse them."
She couldn't give Charlie any hope and needed to completely crush his little spark.
"Okay," the receptionist said with regret, looking at the delicate flowers, about to throw them in the trash.
The meeting started promptly at eight o'clock.
When Natalie arrived, everyone was already there. She sat at the main seat and looked at the people below. "The collaboration with Zorblax Group has started, and now we need to reassemble the project team to follow up on this task. Aaron will distribute a list in a moment."
Everyone knew that the collaboration with Zorblax Group was a completely new field, and by participating in this project, there was a high possibility of achieving great success. Everyone began to look forward to it.
After the meeting, Jessica couldn't wait to find her.
"Ms. Clark, why am I not on the list?"
This was such an important and lucrative opportunity. How could she have missed it?
Natalie sat in her chair and raised an eyebrow. "If every employee not on the list comes to ask me this question, I would have a never-ending stream of people knocking on my door. How do you think I should respond?"
