Chapter 153 Change Clothes

The room fell silent.

To others' disappointment, Gabriel calmly withdrew his gaze and stopped bidding. Suppose she liked it that much, he would give it to her.

"Two million dollars, three times—"

The auctioneer pounded his gavel, declaring an end to the competition for a pair of cufflink.

Everyone was a bit shocked, wondering why Gabriel just gave up like that.

The drama they were expecting didn't even make a splash.

Natalie snorted. She didn't need to spend that much money; Gabriel made her spend an extra million dollars for no reason. She thought in anger, 'He did it on purpose, didn't he?'

She stood up and briskly went to settle the payment and collect the item.

Dominic followed her.

No one noticed that someone else was following them.

Natalie looked at the cufflinks and handed them to Dominic. "For you."

Dominic was stunned, his eyes wide with shock. "You're giving them to me?"

He thought, 'They cost her two million dollars, and she just give it to me?'

Natalie nodded and smiled. "Yes, thank you for accompanying me to the auction. It's a small gift. I hope you like it."

"Thank you for your kindness, Ms. Clark, but I can't accept this," said Dominic.

"But in my eyes, only you deserve these cufflinks," replied Natalie.

Someone who can give up everything for their dreams must have a most sacred place in their heart.

There was some noise outside, and Natalie then heard some heavy footsteps fade away.

They didn't pay attention.

Dominic was about to refuse again, but Natalie hesitated for a moment and said, "If you don't like them, you can give them to someone else."

Since she had decided to give them to him, she wouldn't take back.

Just then, Mia and Yves walked in.

Mia smiled. "I just saw Mr. Kensington storming out angrily. Did you fight?"

Dominic shook his head in confusion. "No, no one came in just now."

Natalie remembered the heavy footsteps earlier and figured out something. She didn't care much.

Mia walked over, took her hand, and said, "Come on, let's get something to eat."

Natalie nodded, greeted them, and followed Mia out.

"Unexpectedly, Gabriel would let you have it," joked Mia.

Natalie sneered, "Do you think he would let anyone else have it? He was clearly driving up the price!"

Mia nodded knowingly, thinking it made sense!

Not far away, several actresses were surrounding Skylar, laughing and flattering her. She was the daughter of a big shot in the entertainment industry, so they had to butter her up.

After all, whether they ended up blacklisted or became superstars was all up to Skylar.

Seeing Natalie approach, Skylar got furious.

She immediately started mocking her sarcastically. "Ms. Clark, you really spend money on men, huh? But how do you manage to have a different man by your side every time?"

Skylar was mocking her chaotic personal life.

The people around them awkwardly smiled; they didn't dare to chime in. Natalie was someone they don't want to mess with!

Natalie smiled, dazzlingly beautiful. Just standing there, she had already outshone the stars who had made a living under the spotlight.

She had a kind of ethereal beauty that was hard to look away from.

"It is an easy thing for any pretty girl. But for you, that might be too difficult." She deliberately glanced at Skylar with regret, scrutinizing her surgically altered features, which were utterly unremarkable, like the photo with too much modification from a beauty filter!

Skylar exploded upon hearing that.

She hated it when people joked about her plastic surgery.

Skylar scolded, "Natalie, don't think that I will be afraid of you just because you are Ulysses' daughter. You're just somewhat average, right? If it weren't for your looks, do you think Gabriel would have noticed you three years ago?"

Gabriel's name was not to be mentioned lightly around Natalie.

Seeing Natalie's face change, Mia quickly retorted, "Skylar, I remember you declared your love for him three years ago. How did it go? Did you get plastic surgery because Gabriel found you unbearably ugly?"

Skylar's expression turned extremely ugly as if Mia had hit the mark. She was so angry that she trembled all over.

Her surgically enlarged eyes widened, almost making it seem like her eyeballs would fall out!

She shouted, "You're talking nonsense! You're the ugly ones! Both of you are ugly!"

Saying that, she grabbed a drink and threw it at Natalie.

But she didn't expect Natalie to move quickly, pulling Mia aside and perfectly dodging it.

However, Brad anxiously spoke up nearby, "Mr. Kensington, are you alright? Do you need to change your clothes?"
