Chapter 396 Always Ready to Help
The air was momentarily still.
Gabriel knew he was pushing his luck.
But how would he know it was impossible if he didn't try?
Natalie was stunned for a moment. She propped her chin up with her hands and looked at him, a beautiful curve forming at the corner of her lips.
But her voice was rational and indifferent, with a hint of a smile.
"Did you break your arm too?"
Her smile didn't reach her eyes, yet it was impossible to dislike her.
Seeing that she wasn't angry, Gabriel's smile deepened, and a hint of resignation appeared on his face.
His voice was low and regretful.
"Are you already tired of me? Can't you even fulfill this small request?"
Natalie's eyebrows twitched slightly. Gabriel, what are you doing?
If he weren't injured, she would have walked away long ago!
Such terrible acting!
She turned her head and exhaled heavily, telling herself not to get angry, to endure!
The next second, Elijah stepped forward and picked up the porridge in front of Gabriel.
"Mr. Kensington, please open your mouth."
Elijah held the spoon, his fierce face looking menacing, but he was doing something completely contrary to his image.
Feeding Gabriel!
For a moment, the living room was silent.
The next second, Natalie couldn't help but laugh.
Gabriel's expression went from stiff to dark and unpleasant.
But this Elijah was Natalie's man, not paying attention to Gabriel's cues.
In less than two seconds, Gabriel twitched his mouth, took the bowl from Elijah's hand, and his voice was low and cold.
"My arm isn't broken; I can eat by myself."
Elijah sensibly retreated to stand behind Natalie.
After that, Gabriel behaved much better, quietly finishing his meal.
Natalie looked at the urgent document Aaron had sent her and replied briefly on her phone.
She didn't notice that Gabriel's gaze had been fixed on her for a long time.
After replying, she placed her phone on the table and looked up at him.
"Are you done eating?"
Gabriel smiled, his eyes gentle.
Natalie stood up to clean up, but Gabriel held her wrist, looking at her helplessly.
"I didn't ask you to come here to be a servant."
Julia quickly came out of the kitchen. "Leave it to me."
Natalie raised an eyebrow; she didn't want to do it anyway.
Gabriel patted his wheelchair and looked at her, "To the study."
She could help with this small task.
Natalie stepped forward, went behind him, and pushed his wheelchair.
He could control it himself, but he insisted on having her do it, probably for his amusement!
Natalie rolled her eyes secretly and pushed him into the elevator.
His purpose for going to the study was most likely to handle company matters.
Natalie thought she might be able to go out and hang out with Kelly and Mia tonight.
Reaching the second-floor study, Gabriel paused and looked at Natalie.
"There are too many confidential company projects here. Have your people wait at the door."
Natalie: "Of course."
She didn't need to say it; Elijah behind her understood.
Pushing him inside, the study had changed the most.
The study originally spanned two rooms, used only by her, empty and bare.
But now, the walls had built-in bookshelves, filled with books.
On both sides, arched bookshelves held many categorized files, and in the center was a large rectangular table with two laptops and scattered documents.
The light from outside slanted through the glass, creating a hazy glow, giving a sense of tranquility.
Natalie was momentarily stunned, then continued to push him forward.
Gabriel stopped her, pointing to the sofa on the other side, "Over there."
