Chapter 338 Throwing Herself at Him
Natalie stood there, pulled her hand back, and rolled her eyes at him.
"Mystery guest? If I had known you were going to invest, I wouldn't have given Felix those two million dollars."
What a waste.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and lowered his voice, as if whispering to her.
"Then I'll have him return it to you."
'Who cares!'
Seeing that she was ignoring him, Gabriel coughed.
"It was all arranged by the director. You won't be unhappy on the show because of our relationship, will you?"
Natalie glanced at him nonchalantly.
She curled her lips into a smile.
"Sorry, Mr. Kensington, you can't affect me anymore. Don't be so full of yourself, and don't disturb me while I'm making money to support young men!"
Gabriel's face stiffened slightly, and he twitched his mouth, not speaking to her again!
Even if she almost drove him crazy, he had to endure it!
After all, he brought this upon himself.
Everyone was listening to the director explain the game rules, which were indeed much safer than the first episode.
The first round was to find a treasure map.
The treasure map was hidden in an abandoned factory, and Natalie thought they probably chose this place to save on rent.
Gabriel was obviously a bit dissatisfied, but the place had been chosen long ago and couldn't be changed.
Although the factory had been cleaned in advance, it was gloomy and somewhat eerie.
The white-painted, gray-bottomed walls were a bit dilapidated, with scattered tables and chairs, and tattered curtains swaying in the wind, making it look like a haunted house!
There were three floors, and the teammates chose one floor each. Both people had to stay on the same floor, and when changing floors, they had to leave together.
Felix and Dominic chose the first floor.
Natalie and Gabriel chose the second floor.
Emily and Rex chose the third floor.
While going upstairs, Natalie and Gabriel walked behind Emily and Rex.
Perhaps the environment was too scary, with some dark and damp areas where sunlight couldn't reach, and even the lights had blind spots.
Emily followed behind, trembling, her eyes full of fear, looking weak and pitiful.
"It's really scary, Natalie. Aren't you afraid?"
They were both women, and she was the only one showing fear. Wasn't that too pretentious?
So, she sought some validation from Natalie.
Natalie pursed her lips. "What's there to be afraid of? It's obvious the show crew cleaned this place up, and there are cameras everywhere."
Emily paused, unwillingly biting her lower lip.
"It feels like we're shooting a horror movie. I've been afraid of ghosts since I was a kid. You're so calm. Are you an atheist?"
Natalie raised an eyebrow, her voice gentle and cool.
"When I was doing my PhD, I minored in Marxism. My beliefs aren't about whether or not I believe in ghosts."
With one sentence, she widened the gap between them.
Emily pressed her lips together and didn't say another word.
Rex didn't care about her at all and eagerly went to find the treasure map.
Gabriel, however, looked at Natalie with gentle eyes, happy with whatever she said!
As soon as they reached the second floor, Natalie quickly jumped up a few steps. Gabriel was about to follow when he suddenly saw the figure in front of him tilt and fall towards him.
Emily slipped and fell straight back.
"Help!"
Gabriel frowned. If he dodged, Emily would roll down the stairs.
In an instant, Gabriel didn't hesitate and kicked her in the back, saving her life!
Emily went from almost falling down the stairs to lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
The pitiful sound once again drew everyone's attention.
What was supposed to be a heroic rescue turned into Emily getting kicked?
No doubt, her little dress was in a mess!
Natalie and Rex rushed over upon hearing the noise. Natalie looked shocked and quickly went over to help her up.
"Are you okay?"
Felix, who had been listening to Natalie's atheist answer, saw everything clearly from downstairs and couldn't help but laugh.
"Miss Thompson, with such a wide staircase, why did you have to fall on Gabriel?"
