Chapter 128 I Make the Decisions
"She really likes you. It must be her who uploaded your information into Starshadow's brain, which is why he reacted this way. By the way, she's also on the research team at ApexCorp. You'll meet her soon."
Kyle nonchalantly tossed Starshadow to Natalie, and Natalie carefully caught him.
"Starshadow, let's go see Violet Campbell."
"I want my idol to hold me," Starshadow shrank in Natalie's arms and weakly requested.
Natalie couldn't resist any of his requests, so she weakly stepped forward. "Kyle."
Kyle was already used to this kind of thing. Unlike Natalie, he wasn't so obsessed. As long as he could create something, he wouldn't have much emotional attachment to it. To him, it was just a piece of work.
At ApexCorp, Starshadow immediately became the center of attention.
One guy called out, "Starshadow, do you miss us?"
Starshadow raised his head and snorted arrogantly, "Who are you guys?"
Everyone was stunned.
Afterwards, someone took Starshadow to find Violet, and Nathan personally escorted them to the designated project site.
On the way, Nathan occasionally looked back at Kyle. "This gentleman looks familiar."
Before Natalie had a chance to introduce him, Kyle said, "My name is Sunner. I don't know you."
Nathan nodded and raised an eyebrow, showing no signs of displeasure. "Are you a recent graduate? Never mind. Anyone Mrs. Clark brings must be good."
Natalie didn't mention sending Kyle to the core research team. She wasn't interested in their trade secrets; as long as she could keep up with the latest developments, she had achieved her goal.
Therefore, Kyle's identity didn't need to be revealed.
As soon as they got out of the car, Natalie saw a group of people approaching.
Gabriel walked at the front with an air of cold nobility, followed by a group of people. Natalie paused and frowned slightly.
Nathan stepped forward and said, "What a coincidence! The three project leaders are you, me, and Mr. Kensington. What a rare occasion!"
Hearing this, Natalie felt a bit uneasy.
But they had to be professional. Given the situation, they had to prioritize the bigger picture.
When they got closer, Gabriel's gaze swept over Natalie indifferently and then looked at Nathan. "I've reviewed the cooperation site. I'll arrange the other necessary things myself. Since everyone is here, let's get started."
Natalie walked in without intending to greet him.
Gabriel glanced sideways at her back, lost in thought.
Nathan stepped forward, patted him on the shoulder, and smiled playfully. "Stop looking. Now that Ms. Clark's status has changed, it's even less likely she'll look back. But you, do you regret it?"
Gabriel's gaze swept over him coldly, and his tone was stern. "Mind your own business!"
Nathan chuckled and shook his head, "Can you honestly say you're not here because of her?"
At first, he didn't think it was possible, but ever since Gabriel had him organize a meeting to invite Natalie, he sensed something was off.
Later, he found it absurd. He thought, 'Could Gabriel really go back to an old flame?'
But then he dismissed the thought.
Until now, with Gabriel personally here, what did that indicate?
They walked side by side, and Gabriel frowned slightly. "Do you have the list of Clark Group personnel?"
"Yes." Nathan casually sent it to him on his phone. This information was public and not confidential.
"Sunner? Do you know his specific identity?" asked Gabriel.
Nathan replied nonchalantly, "Probably a recent graduate."
Gabriel smirked silently and said no more.
Natalie really had some skills, getting a national-level expert to participate in a commercial project.
She did it so effortlessly.
That was impressive!
But he had originally planned to invite Kyle to participate. With Kyle on board, the project would be a sure success!
That is quite a coincidence.
Nathan found it odd. He thought, 'Why is Gabriel interested in a student?'
In the conference room, seeing Natalie and Sunner talking closely, Gabriel couldn't help but frown.
He felt extremely uncomfortable!
His brows furrowed, and he walked in with a heavy presence, his face dark. He sat opposite Natalie.
Seeing this, Nathan immediately understood.
He sat at the head of the table and paused for a moment. "On behalf of ApexCorp, I formally welcome the two cooperating parties. Regarding the project research, Kensington Group has already sent people to oversee the follow-up work. Ms. Clark, who do you plan to send?"
Natalie turned her head and smiled, looking at Kyle beside her. "Sunner, I'll leave it to you."
She grabbed Kyle's sleeve, a habit of hers.
Kyle patted the back of her hand, a familiar gesture.
Gabriel noticed and frowned even deeper.
Nathan nodded and said, "Okay, I'll have someone take you to meet Violet for the handover."
Gabriel suddenly questioned coldly, "Not just anyone is qualified to participate."
Natalie lazily lifted her eyelids and stated, "I make the decisions."
