Chapter 419 Becoming a Stepmother

The two remaining people couldn't help but laugh, and Kurt patted Byron on the shoulder.

"Hey, if you don't mind my third marriage, I could set you up."

Byron shot him a glare, gritting his teeth.

Lonnie chuckled from the side, raising his glass. "Anyway, the Clark Group deserves the recognition. Congrats!"

Natalie raised her glass, arching an eyebrow. "Thanks, Mr. Caldwell."

Lonnie's eyes flickered. "I heard Mr. Kensington got hurt. Is he okay? We had plans to play golf a few days ago, but his assistant canceled last minute. I wanted to visit him, but I couldn't find the time."

Natalie replied, "I don't know."

She was taking care of Gabriel, and aside from them and the Clark family, no one else knew.

She didn't want rumors spreading everywhere.

Lonnie smiled. "True, you are separated, so how would you know?"

Natalie's smile subtly stiffened, her gaze turning cold as she looked at Lonnie.

She knew he was deliberately bringing this up in such a setting. Lonnie glanced at Natalie and Robert, his expression slightly surprised.

"Doesn't Mr. Williams know that your relationship is with Mr. Kensington?"The two people standing nearby looked puzzled and uncomfortable. They didn't understand why Lonnie would bring this up here.

If there was something between Natalie and Robert, wouldn't this affect their relationship?

Natalie gave a faint smile, her voice cool. "Mr. Caldwell, you seem overly concerned. But my relationship with Mr. Kensington doesn't need to be discussed with everyone we meet, does it?"

Lonnie's expression stiffened, and he forced a smile. "I misspoke."

Robert's voice was calm. "Mr. Caldwell, you are indeed concerned. I've known Ms. Clark for a long time. There's no need to elaborate."

Just then, Robert's phone rang. He frowned slightly and then looked at everyone. "Excuse me."

Natalie remained standing there, smiling as if nothing had happened.

"Ms. Clark, have you known Mr. Williams for a long time?" Lonnie probed.

Natalie raised an eyebrow. He was overly interested.

"I won't tell you."

Lonnie's expression stiffened again.

Natalie chuckled to herself and turned away, finding a place to sit.

Jagger appeared out of nowhere, dressed like a wealthy man, with a rose in his suit pocket.

"Ms. Clark, I've found out everything."

Natalie was startled, looking at him in disbelief.

Pretending not to know him would be better.

Jagger didn't get the hint and sat down beside her.

"Ms. Clark, I just went to find out. Robert's business spans a wide range, and he's been single for years, without a woman in sight."

Natalie frowned and interrupted him. "What are you trying to say?"

"With such excellent conditions, and no woman around, he's probably gay!" Jagger declared firmly.

Natalie rubbed her temples in exasperation. "Robert has a son!"

Jagger leaned in suspiciously, lowering his voice. "I heard about that. His son is a foreigner. Even if Robert isn't gay, I doubt anyone would want to be a stepmom."

He sighed, cupping his chubby, round face with both hands, looking wistful. "Both are wealthy men, but Mr. Kensington keeps himself clean, no messy child scandals. He wholeheartedly pursues girls, pure and noble. Comparing Robert to Mr. Kensington, if I were a woman, I'd choose Mr. Kensington!"
