Chapter 299 Stay Away from Him
Gabriel glanced over at Natalie sitting next to him. She was glued to the big screen, her profile smooth, with a high-bridged nose, and her skin was flawless.
She watched the movie without flinching, no matter how many jump scares or loud noises there were. Instead, she seemed to enjoy it, occasionally letting out a light scoff.
It was like she was mocking the cheesy horror effects and the over-the-top atmosphere.
To her, it was a comedy.
Gabriel clenched his fists. The scenarios he had imagined in his head didn’t play out. The excitement and anticipation he felt fizzled out with each of her scoffs.
He looked up at the so-called horror movie, his gaze cold.
He hated it.
Natalie didn’t touch the popcorn or soda even once.
The couple in front of them seemed like they were trying to merge into one person, practically sitting on top of each other.
As the movie was wrapping up, she looked down and tapped on her phone a few times, then casually turned to Gabriel.
She frowned slightly. "Mr. Kensington, why do you keep staring at me?"
She didn’t bother to lower her voice, and the couple in front of them finally realized they weren’t alone.
Gabriel’s voice was clear and cold. "You never said I couldn’t look at you."
Natalie was momentarily speechless.
Gabriel pressed on, "Why aren’t you scared?"
Natalie gave him a strange look and smirked. "What I’ve been through lately was a real horror movie."
She wasn’t going to be scared by some low-budget special effects.
What worried her more was the couple in front of them losing control.
But luckily, they had some boundaries.
Hearing this, Gabriel felt a dull ache in his chest.
He silently turned his head away, his gaze dark and cold again.
The young couple in front quickly stood up, straightened their clothes, and left with their heads down.
Natalie’s phone lit up in her hand. She glanced at it and then stood up. "It’s getting late. I should go."
Gabriel stood up too. "I’ll take you."
Natalie walked to the door and saw the butler approaching from a distance. She paused and spoke with a slight chill in her voice, "Mr. Kensington, because you saved my life, I hope there won’t be a next time. Felix is my good friend, and no matter what relationship we have, you have no right to interfere."
Gabriel’s reaction tonight was unexpected and a bit over the line.
Why did Felix suddenly leave? Why did he happen to run into Gabriel’s car?
If she didn’t make it clear, it would happen again.
Gabriel saw the butler coming to pick her up.
But her words still made his face darken.
All night he had been trying to cater to her emotions, constantly making concessions. Watching a movie with her felt like a dream.
But Natalie still didn’t give him any hope. In her heart, even Felix was more important than him!
His heart felt like it had been punched, making it hard to breathe.
Natalie didn’t expect a response from Gabriel, not even wanting to say goodbye.
But just as she was about to reach the theater exit, he suddenly caught up, grabbed her arm, and pinned her against a nearby pillar.
His eyes were cold and sharp again. As he looked at Natalie, the storm in his eyes seemed ready to swallow her whole!
Gabriel’s large hand gripped Natalie’s shoulder tightly. He didn’t hide his anger and jealousy anymore. He couldn’t endure her indifference.
His voice was low and cold, carrying an imposing force. "Natalie, I also hope there won’t be a next time, so you need to stay away from him. Otherwise, he won’t have a good life. I can’t bear to hurt you, but he’s a different story."
