Chapter 356 You Really Mean It
Sure enough, as soon as Natalie spoke, it was like dropping a bomb.
SW Group, one of the largest abroad, is at least ten times bigger than Vincent's family business.
Donna's face turned pale, her eyes full of disbelief.
The others were also shocked, looking at each other in astonishment.
Rex had hidden it so well.
Natalie didn't bother with the rest and followed Rex out.
As soon as they stepped out, they heard the loud crash of a wine bottle breaking inside.
And Donna's tearful explanation.
Once Natalie and Rex exited the hallway, they both breathed a sigh of relief, let go of each other's hands, and exchanged a smile.
"How did you know my background?"
Rex couldn't help but ask. He was quite surprised at the time; how did Natalie know?
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "Felix told me,"
Rex replied, "He's so unreliable!"
"Revealing it is like rubbing salt in her wound. Don't keep it to yourself!"
Rex didn't mind this at all.
They hadn't reached the door when a steady, heavy footstep followed them, and a cold voice spoke.
"Leaving just like that?"
It was Gabriel.
They paused, and Natalie turned around, raising an eyebrow.
"Mr. Kensington, shouldn't you be comforting your friend? Do you need something from us?"
Even the always arrogant Vincent had a day when he stumbled. Serves him right!
Gabriel's expression was grim, his eyes cold and intense, exuding a menacing aura.
"Did you come here just to stir things up?"
He glanced at Rex, his gaze chilling to the bone.
Rex shrugged, neither admitting nor denying it.
"Are you looking for trouble with me?"
Gabriel snorted coldly, his eyes filled with disdain, his voice icy.
"I don't have that much free time. I'm just concerned about Natalie and you."
He looked at Natalie with deep, probing eyes.
His relationship with Vincent wasn't great; he was only here because Leo dragged him along to support the event.
From the moment Natalie and Rex walked in, their close demeanor and the familiarity in their words gave him a sense of danger, making him extremely uncomfortable!
So, he had to make sure!
Natalie took a deep breath.
"Mr. Kensington, aren't you a bit too concerned?"
"I don't think so."
He said it as if it were a matter of course.
He had never thought there would be another man by Natalie's side because no one was more qualified to stand next to her than him.
But seeing Rex there today, acknowledged by her, it felt like a spell had been cast on him. The vine of jealousy grew wildly, gripping and tearing at his chest.
He admitted, he was panicking.
Gabriel looked at Rex, his entire being shrouded in a dense chill, his dangerous eyes sharp and probing.
"Are you two really a couple?"
If they were, he wouldn't hesitate to kill Rex.
Rex lowered his eyes slightly, paused, and glanced at Natalie.
"It's better if Natalie answers that question."
Before Natalie could speak, Gabriel's cold voice cut in.
"Mr. Ingram, could you let me talk to her alone?"
Rex stiffened for a moment. He could feel the intense chill and suppressed rage emanating from Gabriel.
Dangerous and intimidating, like a leopard waiting for its prey, ready to tear someone to pieces!
But on the surface, he remained gentle and refined, extremely courteous.
As if the chill Rex felt was just an illusion!
Natalie didn't want to drag Rex into her and Gabriel's issues. She smiled at Rex, "You should go back first."
Rex raised an eyebrow, nodded, and turned to leave.
He wasn't worried about Natalie being in danger because when Gabriel looked at her, his eyes were full of her!
The atmosphere was silent for a moment.
She could hear the cries and consolations coming from Vincent's private room, and people leaving one after another.
But no one noticed Natalie and Gabriel standing at the corner, the semi-enclosed space blocking their view.
"Natalie, do you really want to leave me like this?"
He looked down at her, his eyes deep and unfathomable, his voice hoarse and rough, like sandpaper scraping.
Natalie's chest felt like it had been lightly struck, a painful jolt like an electric shock.
