Chapter 308 I Miss You Too

Gabriel finished talking, and the room got so quiet it was almost creepy.

Natalie's face went stiff. A cold smirk tugged at her lips. "Oh, much better. My memory's sharp as ever, Mr. Kensington. I remember every lie you told."

She didn't even try to hide her disdain, ready to rip off Gabriel's mask of pretense.

But Gabriel's reaction was a curveball; he didn't look the least bit uneasy or embarrassed. No tension, no shame.

His calm demeanor made it seem like Natalie was the one overreacting.

He had this gentle, indifferent smile, like he was totally cool with her sarcasm. "That's good."

Natalie rolled her eyes and took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment.

Violet coughed, breaking the awkward silence. "Natalie, what did you come to see me for?"

Before Natalie could answer, Starshadow spotted Gabriel, its eyes lighting up, and it jumped out of Natalie's arms.

It clung to Gabriel's foot with its little paws. "Daddy, I really missed you."

Gabriel, who looked like he wanted to kick it away, stayed silent.

He bent down, picked it up, and smiled, surprisingly gentle. "I missed you too."

Everyone was too shocked to speak.

Especially Nathan, who had never seen anything like this before.

Before the program modification, Starshadow was always trying to please Gabriel.

But Gabriel had never shown any affection or response to this fake tiger.

But today, he actually said, "I missed you too"?

Was this really him?

Seeing Natalie's shocked and disdainful look, Nathan quickly realized those words were probably not meant for Starshadow!

Starshadow flailed its limbs, its cute head bobbing, almost biting its tongue in shock.

"Daddy, you really are the most handsome man in the world, and Mommy is the most beautiful girl." Before Starshadow could finish, Natalie yanked it over.

She couldn't stand hearing that!

She covered its mouth, glaring at Starshadow. "Shut up!"

She shot a cold glance at Gabriel, then tossed Starshadow to Violet. "Change back the program Kyle modified. The Starshadow I raised needs to follow my ideas."

Everyone immediately got what she was aiming for.

Gabriel's face gradually cooled, his eyes darkened, and his jaw tightened.

Starshadow protested weakly. "You just told me to have my own opinions."

Natalie shot it a warning look, and Starshadow's AI quickly analyzed that this look meant business!

It shrank back weakly, and Violet nodded. "No problem."

Under everyone's watchful eyes, Violet pulled out her laptop.

Nathan and Gabriel didn't leave, sitting across from them.

Starshadow lay on the table, looking dumb and pitifully at Natalie, like it didn't want to dislike Gabriel!

Natalie pursed her lips, waiting for over ten minutes, then looked at Violet.

Was it not done yet?

She remembered it took less than two minutes last time.

Violet frowned, struggling as she typed on the keyboard. Another ten minutes passed, and she was breaking out in a cold sweat. "Sorry, Kyle installed a modification program firewall in Starshadow. I can't crack it at all."

Natalie's mouth twitched. Before she could feel disappointed and shocked, she heard Gabriel chuckle softly from across the table.
