Chapter 52 Why Are You Shy?
The man was well-prepared and calmly took off his shirt, revealing his chest and assuming the designated pose. Natalie, who was the only woman present, suddenly became stunned and blushed, quickly turning to look at Nathan.
"In order to create simulated intelligent beings based on human preferences, we are collecting samples of various physical qualities," Nathan explained briefly, helping Natalie understand.
She felt that this was truly an enjoyable job.
Nathan's assistant hurriedly came in and whispered something to Nathan, making his expression serious as he looked at Natalie.
"Ms. Clark, please stay here and help for a while longer. I need to take them away. Come with me."
As soon as he spoke, everyone followed him out.
Natalie stood there, absentmindedly touching the Starshadow in her arms, wondering if she had to continue watching. Before she had made up her mind, another man had already come in. She sat there without lifting her head, staring at the crystal screen on the table, waiting for the person to walk up and appear on the screen automatically. She tried hard to calm herself down.
"Take it off." She spoke in the same tone as the staff earlier.
The person in front of her didn't move. Furrowing her brows, she urged, "Take it off, take off your clothes and let me see."
Still, the person didn't move. Natalie urged again, "What are you shy about? It'll be over soon."
Impatiently, she looked up and froze for a moment. The man in front of her had a cold and fierce gaze. It turned out to be Gabriel.
Natalie quickly realized this and slightly furrowed her brows, thinking, "Wasn't someone from the Kensington Group supposed to come a few days later? Why is he here now?"
The atmosphere was awkward and neither of them spoke. Fortunately, Nathan came back in time and said, "Ms. Clark, I forgot to tell you..."
He wanted to say that Gabriel would be coming today.
Seeing the awkward looks between the two, he suddenly paused and said, "Oh, so you've already met. I'm a bit late."
Gabriel stared at Nathan and said, "Take off clothes?"
Nathan reacted and smiled, "Yes, Mr. Kensington has always been in good shape. Why don't you also collect some information? Just scan after taking off your clothes. Is Ms. Clark interested as well? I wonder who has the opportunity to choose an intelligent person with a body similar to Mr. Kensington's?"
Natalie stood up and said coldly, "I'm not interested."
She wanted to leave, but the Starshadow in her arms suddenly jumped down and ran to Gabriel's feet, rubbing against the tip of his shoe. With both paws tugging on Gabriel's pants, it swayed as if it was acting cute and said, "Daddy, hug me."
Natalie turned her head in shock. Gabriel lowered his head and grabbed the Starshadow by its neck, lifting it up. Its four legs were kicking in the air, seemingly very uncomfortable, protesting, "Don't hold my neck, it's uncomfortable."
Gabriel impatiently held it in his arms, seemingly unsurprised by the Starshadow's character. He looked up at Natalie, about to say something when Natalie glanced coldly at the Starshadow, let out a cold hum, and turned to leave.
Nathan looked at Gabriel's even more serious expression and couldn't help but chuckle lightly, saying, "She really liked this Starshadow just now. I was worried she would say she wanted to take it home. But as soon as she saw you touch it, she didn't even look at it anymore."
Gabriel glared at him coldly. Nathan touched his nose and quickly shut up.
As soon as Natalie walked out of the door, she received a call from Kelly. Kelly said she was at a nearby mall and wanted to have dinner with Natalie.
Natalie, feeling annoyed, agreed and then told Aaron about it before rushing to meet Kelly.
They went to a newly opened restaurant where Kelly had made a reservation, so they didn't have to wait in line. They happily ate their meal, and after they were full, Kelly glanced at her phone and laughed.
Kelly handed her phone to Natalie and said, "Look at Charlie, what an idiot!"
Natalie glanced at it and saw that Charlie had cropped a part of the picture of Natalie and Gabriel dancing and made a composite image of him dancing with Natalie. He posted it on Facebook with the caption: [We're a perfect match!]

And Gabriel actually commented.
